Hey everyone after a couple month hiatus we are back again with another tournament. Last time we managed to get about 20 entrants which featured some of the best in PA and the Baltimore MD crew. This time we expect the same group to show up for a singles and doubles tournament and we hope that this time we can attract our smash brethren from New York, New Jersey, Virginia, Ohio, and anyone else willing to make the trip. With just a little under 2 months before Genesis this could be one of the last chances to play some excellent competition and sharpen your skills, and just have a great time with some smashers you rarely get to see in person.
So here is all the pertinent information you're looking for.

Where: The White Rose venue is located at the York Fairgrounds in York Pennsylvania. (about an hour north of Baltimore, an hour and a half west of Philly, about 3 hours east of pittsburgh and 4 hours south of NYC)

When: November 21st duh, 2:00 pm will start the doubles bracket, and hopefully we can start singles by 4.

How much: Venue fee will be $10, singles entry fee will be $10, doubles will be $5 per person. If you do not have a doubles partner fret not for we can accommodate you with one based on your placings in the singles bracket.

What should I bring: Other than the meat sack that carries your brain around, a controller would be a good item to pack, although if you do not have a serviceable one there will be plenty extras lying around to play with, and a gamecube adapter if you're so inclined to play with that absurd controller. Consoles, games, and TV's are always welcome as it provides more people the opportunity to play friendlies, and expedites the tournament process.

We hope this will be an even better experience than our first tournament, and expect to see many more players that couldn't attend before. All of this will of course be recorded and streamed courtesy of Darkhorse's youtube channel. So if you're a noob just stepping into the competitive scene for the first time this is a great opportunity, or if you're one of the best on the east coast come and prove it.

Just wondering, what ruleset are you guys using?
Ahh good question I forgot to include. Singles will be DL only, 5 stock best of 3 until WF, LF, and GF which will be best of 5, maybe W and L semis if enough people sign up. Doubles I'll say for now will be the same, but we could decide to do something stupid (CP Saffron City or something) if we get a less serious vibe from the entrants.

Hey everyone, just a reminder that this Saturday coming up is the White Rose Monthly and is looking to be a huge one, with nearly 25 confirmed guests coming across 6 states, 10 more very likely to come, and many more expected to show from crossover games . Chances are this will be one of the largest smash 64 events outside of a national tournament and we could end up getting more attendees than some of the main events this monthly hosts. If you are on the fence about coming; do it, whether it is your first time at an event or you think the trip might be too far I can promise it will be worth it. If you're looking to improve your game, or you think you can take a set off of Fireblaster or LD, or your'e just looking to have fun this is the place to be. If for whatever reason you can not attend please check it out while its streaming on Thatsadarkhorse on twitch, and bet on the matches at saltystreams.com. Aside from the doubles and singles bracket we will also be doing a few side tournaments, including a $1 YOLO tournament to aide in the international players fund for genesis. A PA only round robin event to see once in for all who is the best in the great keystone state, and possibly if time permits a second $1 entry doubles tourney where your teammate is picked based on your singles placing (IE first place with worst place) all proceeds to that would also benefit the International Player Fund. We will try and record and stream as much as humanly possible and hopefully make this an awesome experience for all those attending.
