I drafted this on a whim. Take the results with a grain of salt.

Start at the center. Move a half-space for every answer, in a different direction depending on the letter.
A: Southwest
B: Northwest
C: Northeast
D: Southeast

1. What kind of game is Super Smash Bros.?
A: Smash is strictly a party game.
B: Smash is a party game first and a fighting game second.
C: Smash is a fighting game first and a party game second.
D: Smash is strictly a fighting game.

2. How important are additional elements to your enjoyment of the game? (Items, hazards, spirits, special modes, etc.)
A: They're an essential and inseparable element of Smash's appeal.
B: They add much-needed flavor to a match.
C: They're a bonus to toy around with.
D: They're superfluous and can be safely ignored.

3. Do you feel there could be any appeal in tournament-oriented platform fighters such as Rivals of Aether or Roof Rage?
A: They're rip-offs or pale imitations.
B: They're for a demographic that isn't me.
C: They can potentially appeal to me.
D: They can potentially get me just as excited as Smash, or at least excited for the same reasons.

4. What is your stance on comeback mechanics, such as Rage, Lucario's Aura, and Terry's super moves?
A: They're beneficial and can make the game more fair or interesting.
B: They don't particularly affect my experience.
C: They're tolerable, but should be limited.
D: They're toxic to the game.

5. Why do you play on the stages that you do?
A: Because they're a spectacle.
B: Because they offer interesting or varied gameplay experiences.
C: Because matches are more enjoyable if they're straightforward.
D: Because stage layout should interfere with the game as little as possible.

6. Where should efforts on balancing the game be focused?
A: Balancing the game for one-on-one makes free-for-alls less balanced.
B: Balancing the game for free-for-alls should take priority.
C: Balancing the game for one-on-one should take priority.
D: Balancing the game for free-for-alls makes one-on-one less balanced.

7. Say the hypothetical next installment in the series changes the game so it doesn't suit your taste in some way. What is your attitude about it?
A: One should leave the past in the past. If I liked something that is no longer the case, oh well, it's ancient history now.
B: One should embrace changes going forward with open arms.
C: One should stick with an earlier game if they prefer it.
D: If it isn't good, just desert it and go back.

8. You see an opportunity that will win you the match for certain, but it will be incredibly boring to do. (For instance, Wobbling, in a match where it's allowed.) Do you do it?
A: It feels dirty to even consider.
B: The opportunity should be ignored, as it will make the game less enjoyable.
C: It's a fully valid strategy.
D: Victory is victory and one shouldn't care what it feels like to get.

9. What impact does a tier list have?
A: They negatively affect the experience.
B: They have little to no point and should be largely ignored.
C: They simply state the facts, or at least the closest known thing to them at a given moment.
D: They're an important part of the game to study.

10. Do you like things that take a while to unlock?
A: They greatly extend the life of the game.
B: Ehh, we'll get there when we get there.
C: They can be an annoyance.
D: It's important to have a complete setup as early as possible.

11. Which of these are you most likely to feel when watching a tournament?
A: Bored.
B: Ambivalent.
C: Entertained.
D: Invested.

12. Opinion on using (legal) glitches or exploits to aid victory?
A: They're not an intended part of the game and should never be used.
B: They're fair to use, but it would be better if they weren't there.
C: They're a perfectly valid tactic.
D: They should be pushed to the fullest if they have potential.

13. Do you prefer high-feedback moves or practical moves?
A: An action isn't satisfying unless it has an immediately obvious effect on the opponent.
B: Flashy but not-very-useful moves are fun to use every so often.
C: The practicality of an action should always be considered.
D: How an attack feels is irrelevant. Even if it isn't visually clear, there is an effect.

14. How often would you want to train?
A: When toying around with it or getting used to controls.
B: When frustrated with losing.
C: When there's something to experiment with.
D: According to a regular routine.

15. Do you notice a significant difference between fighting CPUs versus fighting other people (ignoring social aspects)?
A: The experience is very similar whether fighting a human or not.
B: Sometimes, including nonsensical behavior or that they may not be challenging enough.
C: Enough to recommend limiting how often one fights CPUs.
D: It's practically a different game.

16. How big is the pool of characters you tend to use?
A: Random is a potential choice.
B: If that character works, it works. If it doesn't, try another.
C: A general category or pattern of characters that fit a comfortable playstyle. (E.G. Ganondorf + Ike + Cloud + Incineroar + etc... or Pikachu + Fox + C. Falcon + Sonic + etc...)
D: Just a select few to specialize in and not spread out too thin.

17. How do you feel about Omega and Battlefield stages?
A: Kyōmi nai ne--I mean, not interested.
B: They're there when needed.
C: They're a welcome sight and/or frequent destination.
D: One specific incarnation of each is preferred. (This includes Battlefield and/or Final Destination proper.)

18. What is the relationship between clones like Pichu and Dr. Mario to their source characters?
A: They're glorified alternate costumes.
B: If you're used to the source, you can pick up the clone easily.
C: They play differently from each other but operate on similar basic principles.
D: Their playstyles are significantly different and they should be treated entirely separately from their source character.

19. What is the relationship between Echo Fighters like Daisy and Damus to their source characters?
A: There are reasons besides gameplay to prefer one over the other. (e.g. You think Daisy was a good addition due to showing more personality than Peach, or you think she was a bad addition due to being another Mario character)
B: They're just like any other clone.
C: Aside from exceptions where gameplay differences are clear, like Ken and Lucina, they're glorified alternate costumes.
D: Their differences, while few and minor, should be taken note of at least when strategizing.

20. What was your reaction to Byleth being announced? (Answers apply equally to both positive and negative reactions—what matters is the reaction's strength and focus, not the opinion.)
(If Ultimate isn't your primary game or if otherwise not applicable, substitute with Corrin (Smash 4), Mewtwo (PM), Sonic (Brawl), or other announcement that caused a noticeable ripple in the general community of your relevant game.)
A: Extreme (Glee or fury)
B: Mild (Excitement or disappointment)
C: Gameplay-related (Intrigue or concern)
D: Little to no opinion until you could see firsthand how they play
