Every week i anticipate captain falcon to be confirmed, only to find a newcomer like lucas or meta knight.

Has sakurai not realized the importance of one of the original 12? And, dont say jigglypuff, because C falcon is a starter, and has already been semi confirmed by Goroh.
Please sakurai, confirm C falcon as well as shiek and dorf in the next coming weeks.

I'll cut my balls off if master chief gets confirmed before Falcon.

About the sonic and falcon thing my point is that its like confirming pikachu before Mario.

Technically, Link was confirmed before Mario, if you look back on the updates, and Pokèmon is more popular than the Zelda series, so in way that has already been done.

But look at it this way: Captain Falcon wouldn't be seen as such a big deal by fans, since hes a given anyway. Sakurai would need to have lost his mind not to include him, and we all know it. Sonic, on the other hand, is one of (probably the) most anticipated character ever, and his announcement creates one hell of a lot of hype and makes a planet full of fans very, very happy. Considering the other piece of news we've received today, the probable delay of Brawl, which is the one which is better suited to consoling fans about the bad news and helping us take it easily?

It might as well be confirmed, he has been in both games, and he is very popular, although his series is dying, sakurai aknowledges samurai Gorah; so I believe that the f-zero series will definataly have a rep. That rep will almost definataly be captain falcon.

Actually, both are impossible - Naruto due to originating in anime/manga (said by Sakurai in his journal to make characters ineligible), Master Chief due to being owned by a competitor company who would be crazy to permit it.

I saw the same video, and you must be either nuts, or unfamiliar with Marth. None of his attacks mirror Marth's, and the only similarity is that some were wide and sweeping strokes (a similarity which would be hard to avoid, considering the alternative is making all the attacks quick and short or stabs, which isn't suited to Ike's larger blade). Heck, he even had a few stabbing attacks (one of which resembles Link's sword plant move), of which Marth had none (save for his sword dance special), and one where he twirled his sword above his head, which is utterly unlike Marth.

The greatest similarity Ike has to any other character thus far is his Aether move strongly resembling Kirby's Final Cutter and his weight appearing to be about the same as Roy or Link.

How is his moveset rearranged for the worst? His Up B, Forward B, and Neutral B are still the same. The only thing that changed was his Down B. You haven't played the game yet so how would you know if FLUDD ruins his moveset?

I dunno. The doubts I have for C. Falcon stem from the fact we haven't seen him yet, and that it looks like some of his moves got divvied up. Snakes' Nair and A combo look an awful lot like Falcons.

Also because Ness was replaced by Lucas. Not that it's confirmed, but it's a good chance.

Also because Jiggs is definitely not coming back. Not confirmed, but I just know it.

I've played Brawl.....while I sleep at night.

Look at it this way guys. From Smash 64 to Melee, alot of the game mechanics were changed especially the moves for Falcon. And the same exact thing is going to happen with Brawl. I guarantee it!

First of all, Mario isn't the main character of the game. This is Smash Bros., which features all of the top Nintendo franchises (and now popular 3rd parties too), not Super Mario, where he is the main protagonist.

Second of all, how in the blue hell do you conclude his moveset got changed for the worse without even playing the game???? His up+B covers more range, he still the cape, The FLUDD might become a good edgeguarder, the Tornado appears to have a better hitbox, and his fair has been changed to match Doc's fair in Melee, which was a beastly KO move. Not to mention his absurd, over-the-top Final Smash.

I don't even get what that has to do with Captain Falcon's confirmation. The way I see it, the later he gets confirmed, the happier I'll be, because it makes his long awaited return that make better.
