Captain Falcon has obviously not been officially confirmed for Brawl. He might as well be, since he has a symbol (see Samurai Goroh update), but why hasn't Sakurai officially updated him yet? We're only less than 2 months away from launch, and still, no Falcon. Could there be something big related to him that Sakurai wants to save? Could Sakurai have forgotten Captain Falcon and will update him later? I've thought of a couple of possibilities, but still, my ideas are pretty cloudy even in my head.
1. Falcon's Final Smash does something completely unlike anyone else.
We would all expect Falcon's Smash to be to charge with the Blue Falcon, but what if for some reason, it isn't that? What if it's something that is completely different, possibly leaving permanent damage to the battlefield, or something of the like.
2. Something completely crazy that probably is in no way true, but I'll throw it out there: Racing Mode to be unveiled?!
What if Sakurai wants to hold on to Captain Falcon to reveal some kind of side-scrolling Smash Race mode? It sounds unreal, but if you think about it, it might actually be pretty fun. It could use Stages from Subspace Emissary where everyone has some kind of vehicle, and you need to keep progressing foward while attacking your foes. Maybe it could have two modes: First to finish line, or the stage keeps looping and it's a moving smash battle with vehicles. Call me crazy for throwing this out there, and I know I'll probably get a lot of flak for it, but the things Sakurai has thrown out there, a mode like that may not be far off.
Well, those are my theories. I was just thinking something has to be up if Sakurai is holding onto Falcon for this long. I can understand why he's holding onto Ness, but why Falcon? I'm really not sure how likely either one is to become true. Please feel free to discuss though.
