So we all know what a poke combo is by now, right? It's an attack string that ends with a specific attack. But what if I told you that you can actually use ANY of your special pokemon moves in these combos?
For example, machamp (duel phase) has a basic Y-Y-Y poke combo that ends with karate chop. But if you press forward+A instead of a 3rd Y, you get submission instead of karate chop! This not only does way more damage, but makes for a great mix up against blocking opponents.
Input would be Y - Y - Forward+A.
Another is charizard's down+X+X poke combo (duel phase) that ends with flamethrower. However, after the first hit, you can cancel into either fire punch (forward+A) or seismic toss (up+A) for greater damage!
Input would be Down+X - Forward+A/Up+A
This applies to all characters, though keep in mind that not everything will be a true combo. Machamp can cancel his Y-Y-Y poke combo into Down+A (close combat) but its not a true combo.
