Bucket Braking?

I've been playing G&W since January of this year and I just recently starting seeing bucket braking used in tournaments. Since I rarely watch PM tournaments, I never knew how they use bucket braking. Do I have to mash down B in order to use the bucket as fast as I can or is it on a certain frame?

I am not a G&W player but I think you just DI down/CC a killing blow to slide off the stage and sliding of a play form will allow to act, and just hit Down B while your off stage and the closer to the edge the better. It's kind like an Amsah tech but much easier to do.

Huh. I've always just DI'd up and then hit down as soon as possible, since it seems like DI down would negate any benefits from the bucket brake.
