It changes the volume of the brstm in game! Sound's a lot better now since Riivo and FPC can't do this.

For anyone wondering what this code does, it equalizes the volume of all songs in the game. Normally, each song on each stage had a different default volume. This why using the same song on different stages would be quieter/louder.

Huh, I just tried it out.
Even if you have a BRSTM that's at a good level, it still makes it louder.
Also, I noticed that the volume of the song doesn't change when you pause it.

yeah maybe I'll include a .brstm check code which checks the brstm files with a low volume and then makes it louder.

That would be awesome if you could.
Songs that are named to the Melee BRSTMs are usually quiet in-game. This could help a lot.
And maybe, if you can, make it so that music gets quieter when you paused it, like it normally did.

And for those who worry about this making songs too loud, just go to the in-game volume settings and reduce the volume of the music.

It's used for if a certain BRSTM is too quiet.
The first version of the code made all of the BRSTMs louder.

Awesome code. This has actually saved me having to replace a few songs. Only thing I'd ask is that you add another part that adjusts the volume when the match ends and the announcer says "GAME." So that it matches the original. Outside of that, this code has been flawless so far. Even if my request can't be met, this code is a must.

Sometimes is hard to find the right volume.
With this you can just convert source file and then adjust it.

Imagine is this code was found before everyone started adding their own music to brawl. There wouldn't be a case where songs would be too loud or quiet depending on what slot you wanted to put it.

The biggest reason is the convince it would be if all songs were assumed to have the same volume ingame vs having songs depend on random differences in volume.

If I wanted to move a song to a different stage, I might have to edit or pick a different song all together if the game didn't intend the song to be that loud.

Edit:

Found a serious problem. When picking 2 or more snakes, the game crashes when you start the round. ): Seriously don't want to lose this code; is there a fix for this?

I'll try the one with The Pause Fix, Hopefully it'll work, since this is a really good Code, I been looking for something like this for a while now.

I know this is something I could just test myself, but did you also check to see if replays saved WITH the code freezing when played the second time without the code active. If so, this code could cause a lot of problems for future gamesaves as well. I would add the list of freezes to the OP so people don't mess up.

I tried playing with 4 people last night, and the game froze every time. I'm using the code that works with pause screen too.

I never had freeze problems until I tried that code, so I think it's safe to say (especially after reading the previous post) That this code can cause freezes?
