Sorry for double posting guys, but i want to separate my message to brawl, from my message to Meta Sonic.

I'm still saying this: We don't know what the Delay was for, and even though it is unlikely they might add a full ranking system, but the main part is.... You have no idea if there will be a ranking system in friends, so why are you so fast to say Nintendo did a bad job with ranking systems?

I don't know man, won't it be a little hard to develop a ranking system for everyone in Smashboards, like, how will we even do that; post our wins and loses on our sigs and then in unison tally all of our scores up and do a ranking system...? Wouldn't that be a bit hard, heck even then people can just lie up their scores too.

I read it!!! I can read and yes I understand it!!! Are you reading my posts though? It's obvious you aren't. I said rankings are missing for the mode that needs it the most, in other words, "With Anyone". Face it, the online modes needs some work and I still think they should've questioned the fans about what they wanted, before just going in and doing things on their own. Sure it's their game, but we are the ones who will be buying it.

Rankings could be based on many subjects. KO'S, wins, etc. There could be many ways to approach this. For modes such as the Home-run contest and etc., rankings can be based on records(like Mario and Sonic at the Olympics). As for fighting, there could be a point system(ex. for every win you get a certain amount of points, plus KO points) There's many ways to approach this, such as questioning fans just as they did with characters.

I guess the only way I think would be fair is a simple king of the hill ladder... where who ever wins goes higher on the list... that's what makes sense to me. Anything else is far from accurate.

What you are comparing is someone who is actually an active fighter to someone who probably hunts noobs or don't play much, usually the more active are ranked higher of course. Although there could be a ranking for who has the best win percentage in which the undefeated would have 100% and the 50/100=50%

Why don't implement the ranking system used in Melee? It is really good, although it might take some time to code it, with all the different scores. But it's a good system.

Otherwise I would be quite satisfied with a more simpler version containing deaths/Ko's and played matches too. Just as long as they implement some kind of ranking system I am satisfied. And please nintendo, quit the crap about being anonymous when playing "with anyone" and introduce a ranking system with names in that mode also.

This could be fair. But it needs to match people in the same rank area. I mean someone who is like number 10 in ranks who beats someone in the thousands shouldn't move up though just for winning. It'll taking sorting things out, but it's an improvement comparing to what we have now.

LOL, Meta Sonic I wasn't talking to you, and to an extent I do agree the online should be worked on. (though it funtions fine as is.

As for the ranking system , Im expecting it for "with friends" but I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't show.

I think Sakurai should've asked for suggestions and if he had time to, he should've considered it. I'm still awaiting to see what other modes will be online. I hope that Tag Team won't only be limited to with friends or guests
