looks like you've been getting no lovin' so far, allow me to be the first!

Many thanks if i can switch up taunts for victory poses.

actually im already having trouble putting ganon's laughing victory pose as his dtaunt. im following your tutorial, and there's nothing to copy i the gfx section. but from the looks of it can i possibly code it myself?

i noticed that there are 2 AppealLw's (1C0 and 1C1). the first one seems to be the main one and the second that tells it to GoTo the first dtaunt, im a programming noob but i have seen and done like just about no coding to know that this means it's directing the command to 1C0.

I deleted the GFX section of 1C0, made a new line, changed the command to Goto, offset to the Offset number for Win1 so it results in GoTo 0x0000C748. C748 is Win1. Would this work? I'm thinking it wont freeze but it wont look pretty.
This would mean I'd have to do the same with the SFX, Other, and the Main right?

You Are Absolutely Right, You Need To Copy The GFX, Other, And SFX Aswell As The Main to Get A Full Switch.
Also, The Fact That Those Two Are The Same Most Likely Means That One Is "Facing Towards Camera" And One Is "Facing Away From Camera" (Same As Facing Left/Right).

Also!
Edited, New Tutorial Up.

i got to test it this morning, the change did not freeze the wii but it did not function correctly.

SFX were changed, however GFX were incorrect. The way i did the line should have worked, or maybe i just ain't doing it right. He does the same pulling out of the sword, but this time no sword appeared. That's not the point i wanted him to do his laughing victory pose.

i edited fitganon.pac this time, do i need to include the motionetc.pac on the SD even though i did not touch it at all?

OK!
You Are Pretty Intuitive.
But I Believe The Problem Pursists Farther Than What Your Concieving.
I Will Make This My Next Tutorial. Just For You!
I Won't Tell You How to Fix It In Words Because I Will Have To Test It, But I Will Make The Tut Either Saturday Or Sunday, At The Latest Monday, Because I Am Kinda Busy Right Now.

I Will Use Your Exact Example For The Tut, So You Can Follow Along, And Get It ACE.
Thanks For The Post, I Am Sure Others Are Having The Same Problems.

Hey Wacka, its TRD here, love your tutorials :D

anyways, i deeply recommend Wacka's tutorials. they are fully informative, and he does start from the basics. I knew barely much before looking at the tutorials, afterwards... I just looked forward to more

Give these a watch, and you will be making a shockwave stomping Mario like I am experimenting on.

Keep it up Wacka! TRD/KP

PS: Oh, and I can help supply the PAC and PCS files if need be for anyone who needs. just ask and I'll upload one for ya.

or any real SSBB game file i guess...

although i use ash for that, brawbox is also easy to work with. open up a character pac or pcs with it, open up the texture section, and export the images, edit away. go back to brawlbox, replace the texture with the respective textures you recently changed. save it as a pcs, save it again as a pac if your character needs it (bowser, zelda, sheik, samus, zss, pokemons. Wario only if u use smash balls.)

Also Wacka Alpaca, if it's not to much trouble, i recommend that you put the url in url form rather than just text. you take your url and sandwich it between "[ url ]" and "[ /url ]" (obviously without any spaces or quotation marks.) this makes it easier for everyone as we dont have to copy the text, open a new tab and paste it.

and thanks for the "exclusive" tutorial? I am pretty intuitive with things i don't know for sure but have seen before.

Hey. I'm a bit confused. I watched all your tutorials on psa but there's one thing I still haven't learned.
Frame Speed editing. I wanna speed up animations, like make Ike's fsmash alot faster(like the Ichigo PSA).

Your question was:

Hey. I'm a bit confused. I watched all your tutorials on psa but there's one thing I still haven't learned.
Frame Speed editing. I wanna speed up animations, like make Ike's fsmash alot faster(like the Ichigo PSA).

My Answer Is:

It Is Currently Impossible To Speed up, Slow Down, Edit, Manipulate, Or Change In ANY Way, An animation, Or Bones.

I'm Sorry, But The Fact Remains That We Will Have To Wait For A Delicious Genius To Make A Animation/Bone Editor For Us.

'Sucks...

i dont blame you man, but really you could have just told me in text form here of SWF, less work for you and the info gets across just as easily if it was this "simple". Thanks for taking the time to make the tut, but really a simple question can be answered by a text reply.

I honestly thought the offset number had to do with what the animation was going to be, guess i was wrong. all it was was just in the naming. thanks for clearing that up.

Sorry, Once I toyed with the actual thing you wanted, i realised how easy it was.
but by that time i already invested like... 5 mintues... (yea im fast, yea im good with psa).
so might as well make the tut.
it kinda showcases some more possibilities other might not have thought of.

Thanks for the suggestion though.
again, sorry if i sound pissed in the vid, it was early on a saturday...

if only i knew which win's were what instead of having to do a trial 'n error thing. Yes i'm nudging your shoulder, D'you know a possible way to know what win pose is what without having to take it to a wii or Dolphin?

Also I was browsing through FitCaptain.pac to look for the SFX where he goes YESZ!. I was planning to stick that in other places of his moveset, such as a sweetspotted knee and possibly an addition to his up taunt. Can't find it. The sub Actions got nothing, SpecialHi or SpecialHiDxCapture. I looked under Specials but I got no idea which is what.

Got a list as to what SFX is alled what in PSA? the SFX ID or whatever they're called.

No no need for a tutorial, just a quick response here is more than enough, thanks. :)

As for this question...
I gotta say something lame like:
"maybe someone made a video compilation on youtube..."
or
"sorry man, trial and error makes men manly-er"

no dice for a quick fix here broseph.

So far i found the correct poses for the taunts, the allowed time of interruption is incorrect however. It's most noticeable for snake.

Here's the animation:
d-taunt> begins in a crouch, says This is Snake, I'm heading back.> switches back to his sitting in a box position, with no box.>a second or two later then the taunt fully ends with him "lifting up the box" which is his normal taunt, not a part of his win pose. can I end taunts short with some timer interrupt line?

I am not aware of any "interupt" command... but im... kinda sure it might exist.
i know that many people taunts are strung together by multiple animations.
so snakes is probably

animation 1 (GOTO animation 2)
animation 2 (GOTO animation 3)
animation 3 (STOP)

so.... .... I havent tinkered with this... but...
I'm gonna say yes, it is possible.
have fun with it! and post your results here for the world to learn.

Do you know what 11050100; 0-1, does?

This is Marth is seen in SpecialNEnd: Other. Someone told me it ends the glow animation on the sword with this.

edit:actually it seems most lines have a 18000100 0-6 on them, I think this is the thing that shuts off all marth slashes.

If i put the slash glow on on Wait1, and delete all default slash graphics and 18000100 0-6, shouldn't I get a glowing sword forever without having to copy and paste a set loop command for everything?

I have actually done this exact thing with "Hat-less Mario"
And yea, its awesome.
If you find the subroutine that controls the glow, then you would HAVE to put it on every animation.
But skip stupid ones, like "being grabbed by snake" or "rofl pwn'd i just got meteor smashed"
skip those ones, not very common. lol

If you find the subroutine that controls the glow, then you would HAVE to put it on every animation.
wut?
But skip stupid ones, like "being grabbed by snake" or "rofl pwn'd i just got meteor smashed"
skip those ones, not very common. lol
i did em to almost everything, it froze when i grab people, so i had to take it off for catch.

Those are some awesome tutorials. Thanks!
I tried to give Bowser Donkey Kong's Final Smash, but... let's just say it's impossible. :p

BTW, if you want to run 2 instances of PSA just copy the folder to a different location and load each! Too bad you can't copy/paste between them though...
Edit: Actually you can, open one file and copy what you want, then open the next with the same instance, paste and voila!

Edit: Also, in your switching animations with PSA vid, why are there 2 of each animation? I just wanna know exactly what I'm doing if I mess around with them...
Edit Edit: OK nevermind, some of them aren't labelled L & R.

OK, I still haven't given up on making bowser play the bongos. As I'm looking at donkey's final smash start file (specials - 116) I saw where they referenced to a sub-action, but it was a bit different... it didn't show the number where the action was like most of the others do... I don't know if you'd know about this, but I'd be VERY greatful if you could help me find what it's referencing. (I know I'll never succeed, but I've just gotta try.)

EDIT: Figured it out. I know I keep asking questions and answering them myself, but this is probably the last one. Where are articles stored? Can one character access another's, or can articles be replaced?

Sorry broseph, Articles go with the character.
I have not yet figured out how to succesfully ADD articles to a character without it crashing.
so yea, tough tomatoes.

Thanks for those tutorials, didn't help so much cause I'm doing some learning of my own but they were interesting. Too bad about the articles, I guess my dreams are shattered. I'd just LOVE to get my grubby paws on the file with the articles in it... and inevitably crash my wii.

BTW you said once that you could change animations to make awkward stretches with moveset swapping look more natural. Are you gonna do a tutorial on that too?

Yea, this is POSSIBLE
i guess...

but really what you have to do is find characters that have similar sizes/bones.
then it looks more natural.
sorry for any confusion in my comment earlier.

That preview thing is awesome. How do you rotate the camera though, I can only move it to the side?

Can you supply an alternate site for .pac downloads, as I can't seem to be able to download them, since it always seems to say that all the download slots for free users are filled. If you could do that, it would be incredibly helpful. Thanks

just try again in 50 seconds, this just means rapidshares servers are bogged down.

Alright so I did some Googling and it led me here. Has anyone figured out what 18000100: 0-6 does? A17 said it was in Marth's moves, I'm seeing it in all of Pit's neutral B subactions under 'Other' events.

And is there a way to say, replace Pit's forward smash with Fox's and keep the forward movement? When I try, there's always that snapback effect. From the other forums I think it's something about node tracking. Not sure though.

Any ideas?

Sorry for the bump, but I have a question that doesn't seem to be answered by the videos. I want to change the articles of Peach so she is always holding her parasol, but I can't work out what actions correspond to what attacks in-game, and therefore I'm having trouble working out how to do it by myself. What should I do?

Actually, I've probably asked this in the wrong place. I'm terribly sorry. D:
