So as people are playing SSB 64k on the net. When Brawl comes out for the Wii will anyone be hosting any online tournaments?

Will we see alot more tournaments happening on the Wii maybe some paypal cash prizes to the winners!?

So it sounds good, we'll and that will start divding up the community from the people who have LAN expernice and who the LAN tournaments and the people are just domainting the Wii Online tournaments.

ill be hosting tourneys, but there will not be prizes, most likely, because it would be hard to manage, lag, and it might be hard to do online tourneys, but i will definatly host some large ones for fun, and too get some friend code exchanging going, this way when you go online, you will always have a friend online to play with u.

Well I do know for the XBOX for some games people would just run dedicated servers. So that could happpen with Wii if a tournament is going on someone with a fast internet connection will host the game or we dont even know if we'll be using Wii servers.

I'm sure there will be online tournaments and that they'll be fun.

But serious competition will still probably be done face-to-face.


Look at other online games like Halo, people play online all the time, but that doesn't stop people playing locally or having LANs.

If anything, the online playing keeps people interested longer, which increases the number of LANS and tournaments that happen.

Yeah, minor tournaments can probably be held online, but due to lag, any tourney with a cash prize would probably have to be off line.
