But the tournament scene?
That'll remain the same, by and large.
Online tournaments like the one darkNES is composing will need to be found, they won't just magically float around inviting people over Nintendo WFC.

Smash on the GCN (Melee) did really well. But the GCN was a failure. The Wii is HUGE, so that means Smash on the Wii (Brawl) will be super super successful, possibly the best selling game of 2008.

I doubt stage builder will be allowed in competitive tournaments, there may be variables that the creators snuck into their stages. With the advent of Wifi though, I agree that Smash Bros will spread in popularity since the net is so vast.

And this thread will most likely be locked. Just wanted to add my input on Stage Builder.

Wow wow wow. Easy to play, hard to master. Remember that . I think if a trustworthy guy who sets up a tournament with a legal stage could be viable. It just has to be done right for the competitive scene to have a chance at it. The way things are going with tournament legal stages I would think they need to use stage builder.

Well, the amount of people playing Brawl competitively in the beginning will be larger than that of melee's original competitors due to those who entered the Melee scene late.
