Brawl King Dedede vs. Smash 4 King Dedede

What a weird place for a thread like this, when the Smash 4 Dedede board is more active...
In terms of pure viability, Brawl Dedede. He had a better grab, throw, aerials, specials, and some other random moves like Utilt. In terms of the fun factor though, I find Smash 4 Dedede infinitely more engaging to use thanks to how they revamped his moveset. So IDK.

Brawl, not even close.
Most of Dedede's moves were nerfed from brawl. He's high mid tier to low high tier in brawl. In Smash 4, he's low tier. He was mid tier on release, but he keeps falling down the tier list each patch as he's gotten no buffs and lots of other low tiers have gotten buffs and passed him up, such as

The new community tier list that came out today has him at 9th worst currently. That's about right unfortunately. He just doesn't have the frame data to keep up with the high tiers, gordo is way too easy to counter and his approach and speed sucks so he is very easy to camp. It's a shame that he's not better, I've put so much time into him in Smash 4
