why must it be 3.2? 3.1, 3.2 and 3.3 to me run just about the same. 3.4 is different from the 3 i believe (without knowledge, so feel free to correct me).

It should be on the top right of the screen when you enter your wii settings.

You don't NEED 3.2

It just makes it noob friendly because the trucha bug is already intact. Any version over 3.3u has the trucha bug removed(So you would have to restore it yourself).

If you really want to do this I would suggest going to gbatemp and following the modify any wii guide.

Here's something I threw together, just to add a bit of visual spice.

Don't got a cam or anything on me but here's a mock up of how it looks.

Since it's just a themed Gecko, it's for booting with an original DVD.

Edit: Added links for the other methods in that post above.

This looks really cool!

Okay, so I recently got a HDD, and use USB loader. I backed up my Brawl ot the HD, and plan on running Brawl+ from USB, without the disc. To do so, I would need which of the above wads? I have a NTSC Wii... So I'm assuming this one:

- USB Brawl+ Loader for NTSC Wii & NTSC Game
http://www.mediafire.com/?mnqxhdjlidk

Does this one auto-boot with Ocarina on? I'd love if it skipped right into Brawl+! That'd be awesome. Also, do I need to be using the snapshot method for htis to work?

Thanks for the help in advance guys! Also, thanks for making these channels hochin!

Yep, that's the right one for you.

Besides the icon and banner changes I made, these wads are exactly the same ones used in the first post of this thread. So if those auto-boot with ocarina on then these do too. (I don't have an extra HDD to see for myself.) Also, those same instructions on how to setup the snapshot method still apply as well.

Though if you'd rather have Brawl+ start from the get go (without going into snapshots and loading Brawl+ on every start up.) I'd go for the double GCT method.

Here's the GCT for that method if you want.

Edit: Never mind, this method doesn't work with Brawl+

I was told Brawl+ dropped the double GCT method because some codes didn't work with it, thus why the snapshot method is being used. :V

Hmm is that a fact, lol, never mind all that then.

Edit: I just tried it through ocarina and it seemed to work. Do some codes just not function while the ones that can, will?

I do hope that Neogamma R8 is released soon, WiiPower's been promising Brawl+ from USB for months haha. Then a proper B+ channel can be released.

So have we made one that just loads straight into B+ without doing anything?

The new Gecko is open source so we should be able to figure something out.

I think that Geko OS should work like the gamecube system menu. if no button is pressed, you go directly to the game, but if you hold the A button, it would load the menu instead. that way, it keeps all the options, but will look more professional.

I'd like to spin this idea, how about you hold A for Brawl and just let it go for B+.
)
(Because most people who get this will probably use it more for B+.)

Are there any coders in this thread? No? So I'm the only one who has attempted to do this? Fail.
I know what needs to be done, and it would be easier to use a barebones usb loader than to modify GeckoOS 1.9

I just installed NTSC Brawl+ on my PAL Wii using USB Loader, thanks to this guide. It was extremely helpful.

However, I have a few issues:
- are ALL codes from 5.0 included in the snapshot version? It kinda seems incomplete, like Falco's shine NOT pulling the opponents towards him, the ledge not being perfectly non-autoss, etc.
- I tried music hacks and it doesn't work. Does it mean I can't have them with the snapshot method being used, or is it rather due to the "incompleteness" of the snapshot codeset?
- is there ANY way to use Gecko AND USB Loader in conjunction? Things would be a lot simpler.

This. And if this is the case, and anybody link us to a complete .bin?

Let me ask a question....Now I know that it is possible to do this with a PAL Wii and a NTSC Brawl....

Can you do it the other way around? NTSC Wii and PAL Brawl? If you can....what is the exact procedure, cause I've been trying to do it so many different ways and Im getting annoyed.

Is it now possible to load B+ from a USB device and directly have B+ loaded without doing anything else besides pressing start.

with my brawl+ updatifier you can load brawl+ from a regular disc, dvd-r, or usb HDD. no snapshot or anything needed. it just loads the gct file which lets the game load pacs from the sd card. it still is in beta stage but for me and several others that have tested, it works fine. there are some people that say it doesn't work, but i cant pry out enough info to fix their issues. once i get any bugs ironed out, ill toss it in a channel for everybody

Hmm seems very interesting =D

I've got one last question though...

Why doesn't the Original CD Method work with newer versions like 4.0E or 4.1E? Isn't there some way to fix that? =/

Or lemme reformulate it xD

Since I can install WAD files (such as WiiWare) on my 4.0E Wii, I presume that I can also install the Brawl+ Channel, right? Just want to be absolutely sure before doing this so please reply back or I'll brick my Wii =D

god, if you're afraid of bricking then get bootmii, otherwise grow a pair and just do it already.

Lulz...

I saw such a reply coming... from a mile away xDD

No need to be a prick though, I guess I'll just wait for a smarter reply then...

As for my question, since I have a 4.0E Wii with the Trucha Bug restored, I guess that my pick has got to be this one:

- Gecko 1.9.2 brawl+ skin channel.wad

I installed it and everything went jist fine... but I want to know if it's possible to load the 5.0 NTSC Codeset with this method, would be rather cool to bypass the long wait xD

the channel is essentially gecko OS in channel format. it will run any codes that any other gecko can load.
Hmm I see... So this channel thingy basically just loads Gecko OS, means that I can't load NTSC codes with a PAL Brawl Disk (obvious I know, but still xD)... Or are there other functions worth mentioning besides loading Gecko OS?

@FP's reply below: Okay, makes nense... thx for the replies ^^
