Brawl Added to CEO Dreamland Due to 5,000 Retweets

Earlier this week, Alex Jebailey, founder & director of CEO Gaming, announced CEO Dreamland. This new installment in the long-running Community Effort Orlando tournament series was said to focus specifically on Super Smash Bros. and Smash-related titles, not unlike CEOTaku, the series' anime fighter-focused event.

Alongside this announcement, Jebailey tweeted out that he will add Super Smash Bros. Brawl to CEO Dreamland if the tweet below received 5000 retweets or more. Thanks to the entire community banding together, that goal has been met and Brawl is now a confirmed part of the CEO Dreamland lineup.

The Community Effort Orlando Series, or simply CEO, is a fighting game tournament series held annually in Orlando, Florida. The tournament, first held in 2010 is organized and directed by Alex Jebailey. CEO is widely recognized as one of the premier event for fighting games and is known to host different Smash Brothers games, such as Super Smash Bros. Melee, Project M and Super Smash Bros. for Wii U. In recent Smash years, Super Smash Bros. Brawl has not made an appearance in any lineup for any major events aside from Super Smash Con and Revival of Brawl.

The last time Brawl had made an appearance in the CEO tournament series was CEO 2010 & 2011, where RedHalberd came out as champion in both tournaments. After 5 years, Brawl has come back to the CEO spotlight for this special occasion as an homage for the older generation in the community that competed in the Brawl days.

Registrations for CEO Dreamland are set to go live on December 16th, the same day as The Zero Saga. For updates on the event, one can follow CEO Gaming on Twitter.

Stay tuned to Smashboards for all CEO Dreamland-related news.

I hope people do more than retweet. Revival of Brawl got less than 20 entrants, Brawl isn't gonna live on if people simply talk about it on social media lol.

its a shame PM isn't supported by people who run the big tourneys anymore, imagine how many retweets they could get for PM
