Pokemon Stadium 2 is also a good stage because it has a relatively low ceiling. However it can be a double edge sword depending on the matchup.

Dreamland.

Mewtwo lives pretty long, and his grab game is going to be his biggest factor now that 3.5 has ruined his ledge game and teleport stuff, and that stage allows for easy gimps with the grabs and what have you.

Also Pokemon Stadium 2 as well.

FD is mewtwo's favourite stage.

Battlefield is alright too.

Are you Sure Dreamland??? Cause Mewtwo's Fair is one of his most viable killing moves as well as his U-Throw and for a LARGE Ceiling that Dreamland has I wouldn't Recommend it.

as for PK Stadium 2 is my most picked Stage due to Side-B Spike and relatively low ceiling. "However it can be a double edge sword depending on the matchup." - May I please have an Example :)

FD = :)

I am positive DreamLand. PK Stadium 2 works against him as he dies just as quick as you can kill.

DreamLand and Mewtwo's back throw and bair gimps are the greatest thing on the planet, and dont you dare question it.

Because of Mewtwo's light weight, he can be killed really easily off of the top. An example of how it is a double edge sword is in the Pikachu MU, he can kill you at about 70 - 80% with the upsmash thunder combo. Another example is fox when he upsmashes you killing you around 90.

Smashville, possibly battlefield, both Yoshi's stages, and dreamland for the recovery options. Remember that Mewtwo has an amazing recovery, so performing hover finishes after gimping or throwing someone off stage and finishing them off is easy. Practice hover dairs off the edge and as close to the edge as possible. Any stages with a single large platform do quite well too (final destination, Smashville).

As usual, have to disagree with the statement that FD is a good stage for Mewtwo. It is sometimes a less bad stage for him than for his opponent, but if anything I'd say good platform movement (wavelands, autocancels, etc) will be more important than ever now.

New Norfair has the potential to be a very strong general-purpose stage for Mewtwo. The varying platform heights are sometimes awkward for other opponents; Mewtwo has no such problems with its dynamic layout.

Dreamland is extremely matchup dependent. If you're against another floaty with a hard-to-gimp recovery (Peach, Kirby, etc.) STAY AWAY FROM DREAMLAND; it'll help them just as much, if not more. Mewtwo usually kills off the top (fair, uthrow) or by gimping the opponent's recovery, so it makes more sense to take a gimpable fastfaller (who you won't be uthrowing anyway) to DL so you live to absurd percentages and can kill them just as reliably as anywhere else. If it's a matchup where you see yourself getting most of your kills off the top, you probably shouldn't pick DL.
