What was your favorite thing about your childhood? Specific video games you played, various incidents, anything really.

I remember one of my favorite chilldhood games was Luigi's mansion. Too good.

Man there are so many that come to mind (I had a fun childhood!), but I think one that I always think is New Year's Eve we'd just got Pokémon Red and Blue and stayed up all night playing, I stayed up until 12pm the next day, which for like an 8 year old was srs bzns.

Oh did I mention I caught Pokémon on TV on new year's day?

The Pokémon domination era is probably where a lot of my fondest memories come from, although 2001 and 2002 were pretty sweet too.

When it comes to video games, there are just too many to type up for me to put into this response. Here are a couple of classic ones though:

1.) The first time I played a video game system: This was around 1994 when my brother got an SNES for his birthday. I didn't even know what the thing was, but that night when he got it I remember playing Super Mario World and Aladdin. I was soo bad at playing that it took a good week to beat the beginning stages of both games..

2.) Madden 99 PS1: In the summer of 1999 I had a good time. I would play recreation baseball during the evening hours. Later on at night I would watch DBZ at 12:30 AM during the midnight run, and then afterward play 2 games of Madden on franchise mode after my parents fell asleep watching the living room t.v. When watching DBZ it was my first time watching the Sayin and Namek Sagas; therefore it was cool watching these classics without the sense of what was going to happen. Madden 99 was also epic, for I went 13-3 in a season using the Lions and then won the Superbowl against the Seattle Seahawks 9-7 (Seattle was in the AFC back then).

3.) The most obvious: Playing Smash 64 and Melee in 1999/early 2000's. Epic matches, 99 stocks, and all that jazz.

This was my first toy, the Tiger Electronics version that was released, that I put significant replay time into. It told jokes and was some kind of educational toy. I loved it. I only recently gave it to my young cousin because it had such a strong sentimental value.

I still play my N64 very much, and had a lot of good memories playing Star Fox 64, SSB64, Mario Kart, etc. I also only had an NES up until the PS2 was released. There was a lot of great NES games that I grew up playing including Super Mario Bros. 1-3, Tecmo Super Bowl, Baseball Stars, etc. Many great memories playing video games.

Everybody loved their videogames :) My favourite memories are playing videogames with my dad every evening since 1990. Bomberman, Street Fighter, Mario Tennis, Mario Golf and Forsaken were his favourites. It was pretty fun playing through Battletoads, Super Mario World and Donkey Kong Country with my sister too.

SNES and N64 days were the best. Everything was new and awesome.

Yes. It was so awesome riding around on the green shell in the first level of Mario 64.

Tried Goldeneye on my dad's 60 inch TV last year. The graphics didn't hold up well

I still remember how it was big news when a game mostly non-blocky spheres in it for the N64. At least where I lived it was.

Oh man... Pretty much anything N64 (or Pokemon) related dominated my childhood.

Super Mario 64, OoT and MM, Paper Mario, Mario Party 1 and 2, SMASH 64, Pokemon Stadium 1 and 2, Pokemon Red and Silver... All of them were instant favorites.

Those were the days man. I miss them. :(

Super Nintendo was the majority of my childhood

I had an NES when I was REALLY small, but SNES is what I remember the most

For some reason, a lot of memories give me a huge dose of nostalgia.
When I was 8 or 9, we were house hunting a lot, so I brought a portable CD player with me to keep from being bored to death. I only had one or two CDs, and when I listen to them now, I almost cry. Around the same time I also remember playing a ton of games on Windows 98 and ME.
Oh, and Pokemon Red and Blue.
You were the **** around here if you had Pokemon Red or Blue.

I played Mario RPG. So good. And even know when I listen to the music from that game it makes me almost cry. I am so glad I was into games back then as much as I am into them now.

This. Ratchet and Clank was also my first proper game that I got to play, and I remember just playing it and playing it until I got a new game.
If not that then opening Yugioh card packets. It was always so awesome when I opened a new pack and got a really awesome card.

I was eleven. I had a huge crush on a girl, but was too scared to tell. Then on the last day of junior high(or whatever school you are in when you are eleven), I finally gathered all my courage and asked her to be my girlfriend. And she said yes.

And then we held hands. Three weeks later she broke up with me again while I was away on vacation.

My fondest memories were from my Little League days. I was a beast shortstop, and I bunted the ball almost every time I went up to bat because I had no power but was extremely fast.

A couple kids had been infuriating me over the course of a few years. Eventually I ended up hitting them all once in the face and I have never resorted to violence since then.

It's difficult to give examples of specific events, too many good memories in childhood. For sure though if I didn't have a bike, PS2, or laptop, it definitely wouldn't have been as phenomenal. Also if my parents didn't make me go to this one Summer program thing back in 2002, I wouldn't have met an exceptionally good friend of mine right now, which would have been awful.

I remember when I was 6 years old. Me, my brother and his friends went to this
old house that no one lives no more. There rats and flying roaches every room and
every step we toke. Until, this old lady said "Y'all better get out of here before I call the
police on y'all." And so, we ran home so the police would'nt get us.

Another child hood memory.
When I was 5 years old. Me and my brother use to play SSB64 all day.
We loved that game so much that we drew our favorite characters (The drawings were
really sloppy.) This one time, I had like 2 controllers that worked. The other two were
broken. So me and my brother thought of a smart plain. We made my cousin thought he
was playing, Lol he still did'nt notice it yet. Until one time. Me and my family was moving
to a new house; I lost smash brothers some how, when I put in my box that I was
Taking with me.
