[Berlin, Germany] Melee@Meltdown Monthly Series (every 2nd Saturday)

Hey Smashboards.

The local eSports-bar Meltdown (@MeltdownBerlin) is hosting a monthly series in SSBM. To be more precise they're throwing a monthly Melee-Singles tournament for the Berlin based community. Some people from beyond the bonds of Berlin have attended to some of our events too. Even Acherontic from Norway went to our latest monthly.

I'm making this thread with the purpose of gaining some international attention for the whole thing & wanna encourage people from all arround Europe to consider visiting one of our tournaments.

We're also streaming every tournament on twitch.tv/germansmash

The open qualification tournaments for the first season of Melee@Meltdown are done now & the top 8 playoffs will happen on 12 January 2014. The players who qualified are the following

Explanation of the points:
Every events (4-6 per season) top 8 finisher gets points ranging from 20 to 10 based on their placing. Tournament winner gets 20 points, 2nd place 18, 3rd 16, 4th 14, 5th 12 & 7. 10 points. The more events you visit, the more points you can potentially gain, so activity helps you out, but you can still make it to the playoffs if you don't visit every single event like Luma, Akuma & myself did.

Playoffs:
There will be a round robin or maybe 2 4-man-pools with top 2 advance to the ultimate top 4 bracket on 12 January 2014 to finish the first season of the Melee@Meltdown Power Circuit & determine this seasons champion. The playoff tournament as well as all the other upcoming M@M events will be livestreamed on twitch.tv/germansmash so you're welcome to watch us.

National playoffs:
There will be 4 other Power Circuits (Northern Germany, North-Rhine Westphalia, Hesse & Austria) whose champions will meet in a round robin at the next big national tournament (likely OSmash #4) to determine the national champion.

just check the facebook page for the details, but signups are from 18-20 usually
