Hey Ladies and Gents, we're here to bring you another event for the one and only Super Smash Brothers Ultimate! This one is going to be up to standard with the typical tournament ruleset you would expect to see at a local tourney and give you the bonafide smash experience...minus the smell, we shower here at The Beacon.
This event will take place November 8th, this Friday, starting at 6:30 pm est. Rules are as follows:
3 Stocks
7 minutes
Items off
Handicaps off
Final Smash off
Custom Stages will not be allowed
Any characters + Mii Fighters allowed
Starting stage list : Battlefield, Final Destination, Smashville, Pokemon Stadium 2, Town & City.
Counterpick stages: Kalos Pokemon League, Yoshi's Story.
Stage Selection/Banning - The beginning stage is determined by 1-2-1 banning. This entails that the higher seeded player gets to ban one stage from the starter stages, player 2 bans 2 stages from the starter list, and the 1st player chooses between the 2 stages remaining. The Counterpick stages become available after game one. The winner of game one proceeds to ban 2 stages and the loser is free to pick any remaining stages.
DSR clause is in effect meaning you cannot go back to a stage you previously won on in the set immediately.
All sets will be best of 3 up until winners/losers semis, it will then on become best of 5 sets
The player to make it to Grand Finals from Losers side of bracket must defeat their opponent twice, once for a bracket reset, and again to win the tournament.
