I'm balancing melee. For the better or for worse? That's for you to decide.
These changes are to (hopefully) make the game's roster more competitively diverse, having more than 20% of all characters being viable at a higher level. Vanilla low tiers will be buffed to better be able to deal with the vanilla top tiers. Top tiers will not be directly nerfed, rather than a playstyle change. The whole game (in my eyes) will be shifting to more of a lower per-move damage but higher hitstun-combo playstyle more like smash 4.
Every character will have all of the following things changed:
Some characters will have the following things changed if I see fit:
I still have things to learn and perfect so that I can improve on what I have:
Right now, I am about halfway through rebalancing the roster.
Here's an example of a character change: Marth

The download includes all of the character rebalances I currently have done (formatted as "charname_rebal.dat").
The download also includes the FSM data ("~all_fsm.txt"). Make sure that the FSM Engine is installed into your ISO!
I used CrazyHand 1.31 to make all of these changes.

Every character will have all of the following things changed:
- Base attributes (walk speed, weight, jumpsquat, etc)
- Damage changes
- Knockback changes
- Angle changes
Some characters will have the following things changed if I see fit:
- Animation swaps
- Animation speed changes
- Framedata changes
I still have things to learn and perfect so that I can improve on what I have:
- Creating custom subactions
- Finding the correct move logic
- Extending/Shortening existing subactions
Right now, I am about halfway through rebalancing the roster.
Here's an example of a character change: Marth
- Smaller tipper hitbox forcing better spacing for optimal damage output
- More consistent weak-hit knockback creating more consistent combo opportunities
- Consistent sword range
- Tipper jab1 confirms into Fsmash, Fair, Ftilt
- Upsmash foot hitboxes knocks you into the weaker sword hit, tipper hitbox kills ~120%
- Better framedata
- Riskier dair but its range is the size of the blade (vanilla its slightly shorter)
- Tipper on Nair and Shieldbreaker
