AV cables + HDMI converter or Component cables

Ok now I am in need of settling this question. When I looked through Nintendont settings, I saw something about adding a Progressive Scan to run at 480p (which I assume is ideal for playing Melee). However, I am in need of components cables in order to use the setting. Which is better? Using the standard AV cables that the Wii comes with along with an HDMI converter or Component cables?

What I'm basically asking is which option will produce the best results in terms of input latency i.e. produce the LEAST amount of input lag?

Side question: Do I really need Auto Boot on along with it?
