So here's the deal. I see all these rosters with characters who I just can't see fitting in with brawl. My roster is meant to contain only the already confirmed characters and the characters who I can see bringing something valuable and unique to the table. Try not to get worked up if you disagree with something, this is clearly and opinionated but hopefully relatively agreeable roster.

Ridley(Villain, a very unique character, and we have charizard, why shouldn't we have another dragon from a different series?)

Lucas
Claus(Villain, unique move set, but do we really need more shorties? it couldn't hurt I suppose)

Fox
Krystal (Girl, A new weapon based move set!)

Pikachu
Pokemon Trainer
Jigglypuff (From 64, and a very unique character)
Mewtwo (Villain(ish), from melee)

Ike

Captain Falcon(from 64, Goro is in...)
Ice Climbers
Pit
Sonic
Snake
Captain Olimar (A great wtf character with incredible potential for a unique move set and style)

This is only 32 characters and I would be surprised if any of the non-confirmed characters didn't return. Mewtwo is a special case in my mind. Unless Mario's group is represented by one more character, I think that it may be replaced by Lucario because it's such a great pokemon for brawl. I am against the addition of Geno (sorry everyone). I just don't think he's suited as a playable character in brawl. As an assist trophy he'd be boss. But Geno is lame looking puppet. The first time I saw him I couldn't believe people would want to play as it. I think Bowser Jr. is a stronger candidate for the position, as he belongs to nintendo already and is more than capable of having a unique move set after seeing his performance in Super Mario Galaxy.

So if we add Bowser Jr. and Lucario thats 34. Now I'm still leaving out my favorite character Marth, and several other character who could fit into the game very nicely, but the roster above as I've said is concise and very likely (I hope you'll agree).

The other characters who I believe deserve places in brawl to fill it up to 40, including Bowser Jr. and Lucario, are:

36. Marth (Popular and from Melee)
37. Megaman (Unique look, lots of potential for a moveset)
38. King K. Rool (villain)
39. Mr. Game and Watch (from Melee, a unique and fun character)
40. Isaac (Potential Marth Replacement?, or perhaps a very unique take on a swordsman)

As much as I would absolutely LOVE ( I can't stress this enough) to see Sora from Kingdom Hearts in Brawl I believe his chances are only slightly higher than Geno's (due to Sora's recent creation, popularity, and current and future playability on Nintendo consoles). Takamaru is also another appealing character but at that point we might too many swords swinging around.

It's not good, first you have no new reps for Mario and Zelda, although you do have the intention of adding Bowser Jr, and Starfox is left with just Fox and Krystal? That's just wrong.

vesperview-i left falco out cause i don't know how they can make him less of a clone. and wolf is a joke to me, thats like having link and then link with a heavy tan and no hat. They're just too similar.

Mystickenji-I hope ur right that there is more than one FE rep, but this is just a concise roster. Again, Marth is my best char I'd love to see him back, if not him then Mic would be a cool addition, but i dont think its too high on the priority list? sorry

I don't believe a series could possibly get LESS characters from Melee to Brawl. You attempted to be conservative. Conservative is, say, not having Sukapon on your roster... you went too far.

Besides that, the final Brawl roster will be anything BUT concise. We WILL have jaw-dropping characters, yes, even more than the Pokemon Trainer.

:-D hope ur right, i'm providing the bare minimum, i haven't made up my mind about the rest of the roster. Though i did go up to 40 later on in my post, not sure if you read that? btw Melee has less than 32 characters, i'm pretty sure. I understand ur point nonetheless

You do know that Star Fox Assault has enough material to make a new moveset for Falco right? He's obviously returning.

I know you're entitled to write what you'd like, but I'd appreciate it if you typed your comments so it didn't sound so snide, there's no need to get heated up. I actually don't play play starfox but I'm glad to hear theres enough material for a Falco that isn't a clone. If that's the case, you're right his chances are remarkably high, but I still don't want him (he pisses me off I'm afraid). Thanks again Vesper

I disagree with megaman.
He comes out with a suit every 5 seconds,
and he's just a male version of Samus.
And Lucario. He's just another random Pokemon everyone wants in
for god knows why.
But theres nothing I can do.

I think the difference between megaman and samus is that megaman is able to use his arm for several weapons, one being a beam sword. But they do have their similarities. Lucario is a fighting pokemon he's very nimble and uses mainly physical attacks but has some magic abilities I think. He looks pretty cool tool, I think thats why people want him. I'm glad to hear you approve of everything else though :-D

I think Lucario would be fun to play with, but I don't want him in, just because he's a popular Pokemon... I'm tired of that....
actually, while I was writing this, (it took me a while cuz I was watching something) i suddenly changed my mind...Lucario would be cool..as long as his baby form isn't in it. He looks like a gross dog fetus.

Without his spike we could never do the Ken Combo *gaspedness* XD But anywaaaay...you should check out the Marth support thread if you're a fan; if you have ANY worries about him being included in Brawl, that thread will put them out of your mind ^^

While I agree you did make it a little to bare minimum, I suppose its better to just list characters that are practical shoe-ins and not try to guess the random obscurities Sakurai will add in.

But yeah I don't see how a francise like FE, which is probably even bigger now that its outta Japan, would have fewer reps than the previous installment.

3D King-That's actually a very good point. I didn't take that into consideration, the number of reps surely couldn't decrease. Do you think they'll bring Marth back? or maybe a new character?

Machspeed-You know, after going onto the Geno thread and getting some ideas explained he does sound like he'd be a tolerable and useful addition to the cast. It's true he was high on the poll as well, but I still feel his popularity outside the forum is not very high. I will certainly admit he has more chance than many other characters, such as PacMan :-P

Chidosengan-Thanks for your honest opinion but that exactly what I was trying to do. Make a predictable roster because I don't want to get my hopes up. If you're looking for a roster that isn't as probable and more interesting then this is definitely not the roster for you. Thanks for the input though.
