I don't know what I'm going to do when the Japan release date comes in. There will surely be confirmations about all the hidden characters. I'm not sure if I want to see who will be in Brawl or not. I'm very curious to see who got in as a secret character.. but at the same time, I kind of don't want to have the surprise spoiled. What are all of your feelings on this? Are you going to look at all the secret characters on the internet, or are you going to unlock them all yourself and be surprised?

Ok I see what you're saying. In that case, I probably will just look to see who got in. You're right about the forums though. I am a regular user and it pretty much is guaranteed that I'll find out about them on accident anyway.

Well I would *like* to have the suprise of unlocking characters myself, but then I live in Australia so um... yeah... God knows when we'll actually get our hands on the game. I'm hoping the delay will be closer to that of Galaxy which was only a few weeks, rather than Metroid Prime 3: Corruption which was a few months... There's no way I can avoid it for that long, but I might be able to manage it if Australia/New Zealand and Europe only have to wait a few weeks.

*Sigh* I hate being in the PAL region... It's like impossible to avoid spoilers. I'm hoping to at least avoid the SE plot, even if I have the roster spoilt.

I was kind of hoping to actually se the revealed secret characters.
Personally, I think this abstinance of the SSBB roster is weird. imo it doesn't make much sense to lock youself from the internet to prevent yourself from seeing the roster. It should be as much as a surprise to find them out yourself than to see the roster before it comes out. Plus, I want to see what I'm buying. secrets and all.

I'd be happy to learn whos in it, its inevitable that we will anyway.

But, as the day draws closer, I get more and more nervous, pondering whether my two most wanted characters (Olimar and K. Rool) will get in.

Then there are the others I wouldnt mind having in there, Ridley, Krystal, Claus, etc. etc.

As the day draws closer and closer, I think "Oh no, none of them will be in! AUGGHHH"
(I did the same thing CoroCoro day, what a bust that was)

Then I think, "Well Sakurai couldnt have put anybody BUT those speculated characters in it, and have it make sense, I mean who else would he put in? He doesnt like Sukapon, yada yada.

So Im just excited now.

(I'd just be crushed if Olimar wasnt in it, so please Sakurai, you must add him!!)

I think it would be nice to have some kind of surprises left for the game, but I have a feeling I'll end up reading reports online when it's released in Japan and get all the info about the game. I'm starving for more information about Brawl; more videos, characters, secrets... and I don't think I can wait 50 days until it's out in the US.

But anyway, yeah I'm going to look at the complete roster. In fact I bet it'll be leaked even before the game comes out. Possibly even when the guide book is released (this is most likely). I just want to know all of the other characters that got in. I already got all the characters I wanted anyway (other than Geno, but I won't be horribly upset if he doesn't make it).

I don't see a problem with looking at the roster of secret characters, as long as I don't look at how to unlock them, I'm fine. I want to be surprised. And for me personally, it's a benefit to look at the final roster early because with Melee, it took me forever to even GET Mewtwo. So if it takes me as long as it did to get all the characters in Melee (doubtful now) then I'll be the LAST person to find out who's actually in the game haha.

Yeah...i dont have an opinion on either side of this....i dont give a **** if i learn the full roster or not...we are going to anyway...and its rather hard to spoil a videogame....heres my take on this...

A videogame is unlike a movie...a movie can be told to give away the whole plot, climax, resolution and you practically know most about the movie...so whats the point in seeing it and wasting your money? From here, the movie is spoiled....

Now, a videogame, you can learn all the characters, but it still wont be a waste of money because you havent yet to play as the character you didnt know about beforehand...so you still have a cause to spend money on it...the only way to really spoil a videogame is if someone unlocked a certain character for you....its all about the joy of success of unlocking a character individually...so yeah...it cant really be spoiled by knowing who is in the game...but not getting the opportunity to unlock or play as the character you wished to know....

So yeah...if i know, then great...if i dont...still great...the only way they can ruin this game for me if they tell me anything more about the subspace emissary....they better not!!! *im not listening, lalalalalalalala*

That sounds epic to me XD. So on Jan.24 , I'll avoid video game websites and forums for quite awhile(except Dojo.). I'll only be spoiled on characters that get revealed before that X3
