Tournament FAQ:

Q: What time does the event start?
A: Registration opens at 4:00, with first wave matches (Melee Doubles) starting at 6:00 and second wave matches (Melee Singles) staring at 7:30. Please do not be late. If there is a conflict and you absolutely cannot register on time, please contact AON Gaming at (631) - 392 - 1616 and we will try our best to accommodate you.

Q: When does the event end?
A: Events are scheduled to end around 10:00 or so.

Q: Where is the tournament?
A: AON Gaming is located at
21 Brandywine Drive
Deer Park, NY 11795

You can find us next to the Kohls Shopping center, right near the Tanger Outlets. Brandywine Drive is directly off of Grand Blvd. We're on the left, kind of towards the end of the block (which is a dead end). Give us a call if you need help with directions: (631)-392-1616.

Q: What's the prize?
A: A 100% cash payout! The cash will be split in a 60% 30% 10% ratio for first, second, and third respectively, unless there are fewer than 12 people or more than 32 people, in which case prizes will be slightly altered accordingly.

Q: Will you have food? Drinks?
A: Yeah! We will always have pizza at each tournament. We also have an extensive selection of snacks and drinks.

Q: Should I bring my own equipment?
A: We have nearly every piece of equipment you will need to play. Controllers are the only thing players are responsible for. If you don't have a controller, we have a few rental controllers available for our customers. If you're entering a game that requires a 3DS, you need to bring one AND a compatible game.

Tournament Rules:

http://www.meleeitonme.com/wp-content/uploads/Melee-Recommended-Ruleset-1.pdf

The following exceptions are being made to the above:

1. Gentleman's clause is permitted and has no limitation so long as the TO approves it. This means that, at the TO's discretion, games can be agreed to a best of 5, or a different version of the game (such as 1.0, or UCF-mod turned on) so that players are getting the experience that best suits both players.

2. Coaching is allowed between games and sets, but not during games, for weekly events. This will ensure for a better learning process from week to week and allow for player growth and a more wholesome competitive spirit. During monthly events or regional events this exception does not apply, and coaching will NOT be permitted as per the MIOM recommended ruleset.

3. Controllers beyond the wired GameCube controller are allowed at the TO's discretion to ensure as many players are able to participate in the tournament as possible and to broaden the level of competition. This will enable players with various hand or nerve issues to be involved in the community and to participate comfortably

All tournament procedures are backed by AON Gaming.
