like seriously

all these people in small spaces

during the SUMMER

what the heck is that

we need a tourney where its outside

with a BBQ going

sports, basketball tourneys, football, some volleyball

a pool

i mean come on

a bunch of smelly kids in a room?

some people dont even use deodorant hahaa

i would much rather play melee outside for once

dont ask how that would be done because that would b a stupid question

maybe just a 1 day thing, run melee singles only

until sundown

that would be sick

if your against the idea idk whats wrong with you

I went camping a few weeks ago, and my friend Pony brought a tiny TV and his Wii and we played Smash (there was a power outlet there intended to help with cooking and such, but we just used it to play Melee and Brawl). It was okay except for when I got sun burned only on the tops of my forearms... -.-

50 Terranite? Really?
It's 95 + degrees with 90%+ humidity Throughout July/ august.

I like air conditioning.

However, i've thrown this idea around a lot. I have a lot of deck space around my pool, as well as a 3 acre yard and a ton of extension cords. I might throw something together
eventually. The main big deal will be angles of sun on TV screens.

all the smash stuff i have done outside is usually around the late afternoon in the summer (its effing hot) as the sun goes down. with bbq and all that good stuff.

during the winter (it never gets cold) all day is good as long as u have a place where there would be very little glare. same stuff with bbq and stuff.

but this is in south texas. we only have two seasons effing hot and less hot. lol.

And it's dry there right?
nah not in the rio grande valley, coastal regions are humid especially at night. the day isnt too bad in term of humidity. the dry heat is around laredo, kingsville and east texas.

unlesss u mean dry as in little rain then yes, unless we get tropical storms and what not.

I'd only be willing to partake in something like this if I can stay in a shaded area at least 90% of the time.
yea i wouldnt want to be in direct sun only

but for stuff like basketball or volleyball i like it in the sun

yo we need to do this and its gotta be huge...

there should be an east coast and west coast tourney like this...

idk i just wanna chill at a tourney, have good food, and do something other then smash...

when you do stuff like this, its good to record it and make like montage

people should be doing this everywhere

stop renting out places for smash, rent out a section of a park or something

idk it depends...some places you need a permit to be with more then a certain amount of people in a park

some places you can just rent out a section of the park

it depends on where it is, it might be different where you are then in NY

idk

you would have to be checking the weather all week long and make sure it wont rain on that day. if it rans and the wiis, gamecubes, and tvs get soaked you be ****ed.

thats true, but i mean if its something local it can easily be rescheduled

if its something bigger it can be a problem

idk

the positives seem to out weigh the negatives tho

the weather can generally be known b4 hand

there arent many surprises with weather

I would be so down to make a melee tourney outside at a park or something. the set ups would be limited to like 8 or so because of outlets around. but yea it would be awesome.
