That all three companies first Sonic, then Mega Man and now Geno all said for each and every one of them that they havnt been contacted yet by Nintendo and they all hoped nintendo would contact them because they liked the super smash bros games and that they all might be in if Nintendo contacts us, nintendo just has to ask them?

To me its to much of a coincedence that they all said the same thing and now we got Sonic, Nintendo probally told the same thing to say to all companies if someone asked.

That does make it possible for them all to be in. If you need proof look at the Mega Mans not in thread and the Genos not in thread.

I don't recall Sega ever saying "Sonic's not in yet but I hope we get a call." If anything it was the other way around. Wasn't Nintendo trying to get him in but still hadn't heard back from Sega? Maybe I'm remembering all this wrong.

That the threads on this site keep getting lamer and lamer? I guess we have nothing to really talk about anymore...

It's hard to come here all the time like usual and just see nothing worth reading anymore.

On Planet Earth....most of the time
Why is EVERYONE convinced Square AUTOMATICALLY means Geno? Other Square characters have appeared on Nintendo systems (lets not forget that the first six FFs were on Nintendo) we could just as easily get one of the FF job classes as a character (like Ninja, Black/White Mage, Fighter) or even a generic animal (Moogle, Cactuar, Chocobo) /rant

But yes, TC, I think its too much of a coincidence that all three companies say they are awaiting contact. If they wanted to avoid suspicions they should have come up with a better lie.

I dunno, just seems like making pointless topics with each one being virtually identical to the last one is kind of dumb. I'm not saying your thread doesn't have any merit, I mean it's an interesting thing to think about but it seems like it could have been put in any number of places.

Find me the proof that says That sega was not contacted yet.

The only thing sega says was
"Thats not on the cards at the moment"
Which means that Sonic in Brawl was not the topic of that discussion.

You're remembering correctly. They did say that.

Too bad the Square thing was fake.
YOU FIEND! Geno's not my very top pick for brawl (but he is high up there), but how could you not want a possessed puppet filled with straw to be playable in brawl? Puppets are already cool, but a possesed one? How much more awesome could you get? (other that ridley and sukapon)

confirmed. Sending supplies.
The Square thing was fake, and SEGA never said that (not that I remember). I just remember that Shigeru Miyamoto said that Nintendo had contacted SEGA on Sonic's inclusion...sometime last year.

He never said he didn't want Geno in; he just said the Square incident was fake.

Mmm. Okay, I already heard about the Square rumor, but I haven't seen the SamuraiPanda debunking slam yet for that, is it on the board somewhere? *goes to look*

If Nintendo DIDNT tell them to say that and the characters were genuinely not asked about, then it seems Nintendo really underestimated everyones love of Smash Bros. Sega loves it, Capcom loves it, the guy who made Snake loves it, even the guy who made Bioshock loves it. everyones a fan of this game, and if Nintendo hasnt asked about possible 3rd parties, then they really arent confident that Smash Bros is loved by all and that getting a 3rd party character will be easy

Maybe we should ask about a less expected character. If they say:
The same thing, no chance for Geno and Mega Man
Something different, they have a chance.

Sega said that Sonic in Brawl was "not on the cards".
