Anyone knows what time SSBU supposed to unlock?

What time is it supposed to unlock if its downloaded to the switch? I heard of midnight releases as early as 10pm tommorow, will the game unlock before 12:00am (CST) and, thursday night ?

I originally wanted to buy the game off the japanese eshop so I could play it Thursday afternoon instead of waiting until midnight but alas it's much more expensive in Japan than over here and I just couldn't afford the extra $20 they wanted for the standard edition in Japan so just went with the US version.

If you're in the west coast, it unlocks at 9 PM Thursday. I may be getting my time zones and lack of mixed up but I've heard that the game may unlock for those in AZ at 8 PM.

Splatoon 2 and Let's Go didn't release until 3AM est so I was actually nervous that Smash U would be the same but now I'm more hopeful that this wont be the case. I don't even care that people are getting it earlier than me, I'm getting it earlier than usual for nintendo so I'm 100% ok with this.

As others have said, and just to give more backing to them, it does indeed become active at midnight EST, so if you are central time, like me, you should be at your switch, like me, at about 10:45 =P

12:00 EST will actually be 10:00 pm here in Arizona. AZ time can be confusing compared to other US timezones since we don't have daylight savings time though, so I can't blame anyone for getting mixed up.
