any way to clone a character's .dat file inside Melee's iso?

one little thing I came to think about, and I'll try to speak in spite of my lacking perception of the game. how would the game react as of having one full set of Pl**.dat anew? I suspect we understood how the game points into character files and we adapted &&systemdata to recognize those files, we'd be onto something:roypm:.

The game has a Filesystem file that it loads off the disc. Easy to update and load new DATs.

The issue is that characters have a variety of lookup tables, combined with a hardcoded IDs used for looking up various things. It's not currently possible to update all of those.

On top of that, you'd need to have the same functions those lookup tables are for, for any new character. That way character-specific attributes are loaded properly, subactions function properly, etc..
