Angle shield certain way to slide??

I haven't looked at the SSB4 scene in a few months, but I remember hearing something about angling your shield in a certain way to do a pseudo wavedash. Can someone tell me the name of this tech? Looked all over the place but can't find it anywhere.

I also somewhat remember bayonetta and metaknight having the longest versions of these like how speed shulk has the longest perfect pivot
