Am I the only one who wants to see All-Star return?

I loved how it was a unique take on the standard "endurance" modes, and I wouldn't want to see a perfectly good single-player mode leave the series after one game.

Yeah, it was a somewhat tough challenge. I always wondered what was up with the little recharge place in the middle of a park. I wonder what new spin they might put on the mode this time around.

I liked it. I feel like All-Star on Very Hard was one of the toughest things to complete in the last game (besides giving CPUs insane handicaps.) Plus, it gains awesomeness for being a Kirby Superstar reference.
If it does return, I believe there should be a good reward for completing it.

Its not needed, but i really like the idea of an endurance type thing. However, i just want some SMARTER people not just some boosted power people.

Wait, what's a Kirby Superstar reference? The little park place?

I did All Star on Very Hard once.

I burned through 500 coins.

Never. Ever. Again.

All-Star mode is exactly like the Arena in KSS. Everything in it plays the same way, except bosses are obviously replaced with Smash Bros characters.

I think there should be an "Infinite All-Star" mode myself, one that plays through random teams until you lose and doesn't stop until that happens.

Lol when i think about a character or play modes chances of returning in brawl, i think of Lupe Fiasco's Superstar--when you think about it, even for a little bit you could compare it to the chaos of Smashboards.

Especially the intro by Matthew Santos
If you are what you say you are
A super star
Then have no fear the camera's here and the microphone and they wanna know
Oh oh oh oh

If you are what you say you are
A super star
Then have no fear the crowd is here and the lights are on and they want a show
Oh oh oh oh

but yeah i hope it returns

I also want to see All-Star mode come back. And it still is one of the harder modes to finish without using a continuation.

I'd like to see All-Star return too. They've had more than enough time to add the mode, and it's not like it would be difficult to implement.

Considering you had to unlock every character (right?) to unlock it in Melee, I would think it would be one of the last things revealed. Though since Sound Test, Stage Builder (I assume), and every character would already be unlocked, I can't think of what you would unlock after you beat it. Maybe All-Star would also contain bosses, or maybe there would be a boss battle mode. Maybe you'll unlock some boss as playable after you beat All-Star. I don't know.

Maybe you get all but one character, and then you must beat it to get the last one.

I think it'd simply use the starter characters and add new ones to the lineup every time you unlock someone. The starting roster will probably be bigger than Melee, and I'm pretty sure that's how it works in the Survival mode of other fighting games with unlockables.

Adding SSE boss fights sounds like a good idea, but then wouldn't you have to beat SSE to unlock it? That doesn't even account for alternate bosses from the other paths you can take.

Haha, nice Lupe reference, but sort of random, don't you think?

I'm hoping for as many game modes as possible for replayability, so if All-Star mode makes it in, I wouldn't mind.

Ah yes. I remember playing through All-Star trying to get the No Damage Clear bonus... fun times.

There's no real reason why it can't return. I expect that it'll have some elements from SE in it (battles against some Subspace baddies instead of playable characters), and definitely made more epic.

I liked it a lot. It was a nice challenge, and a good alternative from the multiplayer part. So, thumbs up from me.

Ah Allstar. I tried to get every single character trophy at one point and succeeded :). I'd like to see it come back.

I hope they bring it back, but I also hope that the stages are random for the characters; it gets pretty boring playing the same characters in the same levels.

I liked it and I agree very hard mode was a pretty hard. The hardest thing for me personally was the 50 game and watches.
