These Secrets/Easter Eggs are for you to use.

GCN Secrets
Hidden Characters
Jigglypuff - Clear Adventure or Classic mode with any character.
Luigi - Clear the first stage of Adventure Mode with a two in the timer's seconds category to make Luigi appear in the next stage. Defeat him and then finish Adventure Mode. Or you can unlock Luigi by playing Vs. Mode more than 800 times.
Young Link - Clear Classic mode with 8 characters plus Link and Zelda or 500 Vs. matches.
Dr. Mario - Clear Classic or Adventure mode with Mario and without dying or play over 100 VS matches.
Ganondorf - Clear Event Match 29.
Pichu - Clear 200 Vs. Matches, clear Event Match 37, or conquer Classic mode with Mewtwo.
Marth --Use the original 14 characters at least once in either Vs. Mode or any Regular Match Mode,
or play Vs. Mode more than 400 times to unlock Marth.
Roy - Clear Adventure mode with Marth and without continuing.
Falco - Clear 300 Vs. Matches or Clear 100 Man-Melee.
Mewtwo - Rack up 20:00 in Combined Vs. Play Time or play 700 Vs. matches.
Mr. Game & Watch - Clear Classic mode, Adventure mode, or the Target Test with the other 24 characters.
Secret Stages
One of these following stages, Brinstar Depths,
Poké Floats, Fourside , and Big Blue are randomly unlocked every 50 Matches.
Mushroom Kingdom II - Get the Birdo trophy from Super Mario Bros. 2
Superflat World: Flat Zone - Unlock Mr. Game & Watch and defeat Classic mode with him.
Battlefield - Defeat All-Star Mode (secret mode) with any character.
Final Destination-- Clear all 51 Event Matches.
Dreamland- Complete Target Test successfully with all 25 characters.
Yoshi's Island - Hit over 1200 feet in the Homerun Contest.
Kongo Jungle (Classic Stage) -- Finish 15-minute Man Melee with any character.
Random Stage Switch - Unlock most of the stages to reveal the random stage switch.
Hidden Modes
Event Matches 31-39 - You'll need to unlock Jigglypuff, Luigi, Dr. Mario, Falco,
and Young link on top of clearing the first 30 Event Matches.
Event Matches 40-50 - Unlock all hidden characters and most stages.
Event Match 51 - Clear all events.
All-Star mode - Unlock all 25 secret characters.
Sends you fighting all 25 characters in a gauntlet-type setup. You will have access to three heart recovery items,
but no more so you'll have to ration your energy properly.
Easter Eggs
Fox and Falco's Secret Taunt:
Play on Corneria or Venom and press right-left-right fast on the d-pad.
You then crouch and shake your fist till you salute, then the Star Fox team starts talking.
(This can be done only once per match)
Samus's extended homing grappling beam:
Select Samus and on any stage press Z, then rapidly press up and down on the
D-pad while tapping Z till the the move is finished. The grappling beam will now be
3 times as long and have homing capability. (Hold L and then press Z to home in.)
Samus will not grab automatically, when the end of the beam touches your enemy press A to grab.
This will last till you lose a life.
Metal Mario Trophy:
If you look closely at the reflection, it's Peaches Castle.
Metriod Trophy:
If you look at the reflection on it's membrane, you'll see the intro to Super Metriod.
Daisy Trophy:
If you zoom in past the hair on the back of her head it'll disappear,
and reveal a third eye.
Barrel Cannon:
Underneath the barrel it says "2L84ME" which means "To late for me",
this is an inside joke that's true if your stuck in it.
Electified Ness:
Do the PK Thunder move by pressing up-B,
and then hit Ness directly on the top of his head with it.
(This is a glitch not a powerup.)
Misc. Secrets
Alternate Characters:
You can alter the color or appearance of your character by using the X and Y buttons.
Characters like Mario and Peach will have alternate colors, while others like Pikachu will wear different hats.
Alternate Stage Music:
Hold down L+R while selecting a stage in Multiplayer Mode and hold it until the match starts.
If done properly, the stage will have different music than usual.
Here are the stages this trick works on:
- Great Bay (play's Saria's Song)
- Icicle Mountain (a theme from Balloon Fight)
- Temple (a theme from Fire Emblem)
- Yoshi's Island (a theme from Super Mario Bros. 3)
- Onett (the theme for the Fourside stage)
- Pokémon Stadium (a theme from Pokémon Gold & Silver)
- Classic Kingdoms 1 & 2 (a theme from Dr. Mario)
- Big Blue (a theme from Mach Rider)
- Battlefield (the 100 Man Spar (1) theme)
- End of the Line (the 100 Man Spar (2) theme
Start as Sheik:
If you choose Zelda and the level loading screen is on, hold Down A, you will start as Sheik.
Display Scores While Playing:
Get 5000 KO's or more to get the score display.
Sound Test - Clear Event Match 51 and have all the stages.
Arrange Your Trophy Collection:
Go to Trophies and select Collection, hold one of the
following buttons while pressing A for the desired effect.
L - Rectangle
R - Oval
Y - Triangle
Ditto = Random Character:
In the Vs. tournament mode Winner/Loser Out press L+R at the same
time to choose ditto which will pick a random character for you.
Cornia Guns:
When on the Cornia stage if you throw a bomb at the guns of the Great Fox
they'll be destroyed(wrecked), unable to work and you will not be able to use them as a platform.
Raining bombs!
If your playing sudden death and death is not so sudden, bombs will rain from the sky making death sudden.

Regular Match
Classic
Smash Trophy (Your selected character from it's original game) - Just clear Classic. (26 of these)
Donkey Kong Jr. - Beat with all 25 characters.
Master Hand - Clear on Hard or higher without continuing.
Mach Rider - Clear in less than 5 minutes.
Adventure
Red Smash Trophy (Your selected character from Melee) - Just clear Adventure. (26 of these)
Crazy Hand - Finish on Hard or higher without continuing.
Giga Bowser - Finish on Normal or higher without continuing.
Samus's Starship - Escape from Brinstar.
Wolfen - Clear in less than 18 minutes.
All-Star
Blue Smash Trophy (Your selected character from Melee with a different costume) - Just clear All-Star. (26 of these)
Battlefield - Clear All-Star Mode.
Meowth - Beat with all characters.
Mew - Clear on hard or higher. You can continue.
Wario - Clear without continuing.
Event Match
Motion-Sensor Bomb - Clear Event Match 3
Goomba - Clear Event Match 14
Entei - Clear Event Match 26
Game and Watch - Clear Event Match 45
Majora's Mask - Clear Event Match 47

Target Test
Target - Clear with all 25 characters.
Lon Lon Milk - Get the total time below 25 minutes.

Mr. Sandbag - Get over 300m (990ft).
Paper Mario - Get over 450m (1485ft).
Unowns - Get your total over 5000m (16403ft).
Multi Man Melee
Male Wire Frame - Beat 100 Man-Melee.
Female Wire Frame - Get over 100 KO's on Endless Melee.
Fighting Wire Frames - Survive 15 minute Melee.
Mr. Resetti - Beat at least 5 Wire Frames on the Cruel Melee.
Training
Metal Box - Get a combo of 11 or more.
Lip's Stick - Get a combo of 21 or more.
Bunny Hood - Get a total of 126 combo's or more.
VS. Mode
Maximum Tomato - Fight 10 Vs. matches.
Kraid - Fight 50 Vs. matches.
Heart Contianer - Fight 100 Vs. matches.
UFO - Fight 100 Vs. matches.
Falcon Flyer - Fight 150 Vs. matches.
Sudowodo - Fight 200 Vs. matches.
Food - Fight 1000 Vs. matches.
Coin - Fight 100 Coin matches.
Landmaster - K.O. over 1,000 total.
Trophies
Lottery
All other trophies you can get in the lottery or 1-P mode.
Tom Nook - Get over 1000 coins, doesn't have to be all at once.
Special
Captain Olimar - Have "Pikmin" data saved on your Memory card.
Celibi - Release Celibi from a pokeball (1 in 251 chance) after you unlock everything.
Diskun - Get all 249 special bonuses.
Marin - Unlock all the secret levels and characters.
Kirby Hat 4 - Get Mr. Game and Watch.
Kirby Hat 5 - Unlock Dr. Mario, Falco, Pichu, Roy, and Young Link.
Mute City - Walk for a total of over 10,000 meters.
GCN Secrets
Spinning Cube
When you turn the machine on you will see a square bouncing down to form the G. If you hold A during this sequence as the square is bouncing down it will spin which looks very cool.
Alternate Boot
To hear a different sound when the console loads hold the z button down once you turn the console on and as the square bounces down you will hear the noises of kids
