(srs post)

1. Versus Huntsville s1 e10 is this weekend! Summer is over, so we're back at Charger Union again. EDIT: Charger Union has a PokeStop too. https://www.facebook.com/events/1353811287966571/

2. VODs are up on YouTube for all past vsHSV events (minus March, where I was out of the country and didn't get the Twitch archives, and our local archive video was corrupted.) https://www.youtube.com/user/HuntsvilleSmash/playlists

3. I let the first page of the AL thread go without an update for a while again. I have a plan, though, to keep the tournament list updated.... it's coming soon™.

4. I haven't submitted vsHSV results on Smashboards in a long time (since February). My question is... how many of you want me to start doing this again? How many want me to submit the entire backlog of results for vsHSV tourneys? Or is challonge good enough? http://challonge.com/users/hsvasl

This might be kind of insane, but how come there are no night tournaments? Most of us smashers are college students, which means these events that are held in the early morning/midday aren't viable for us to go to because we have class. However, if they were held/started at like 5 or 6pm and at the latest, leave at 10pm, I guarantee your attendance numbers would go up. More attendance means more money in the pot, in most situations.

TLDR: Night tourneys would be much better for a lot of us. TOs pls pls pls do this more

Most good regions (e.g. Cental Florida) have weeklies on weekday evenings. Pretty much the way Huntsville does it, I believe.

Ordinarily, I wouldn't be sure Alabama has the concentration of players for evening weeklies to be a sustained success, but the Birmingham Friday tournaments over the summer had a pretty consistent 15-20 people, so it would probably work in Birmingham. Someone would just have to try it out.

Just thought of this, but another issue would be a venue allowing a tournament to be run until later in the evening.

That would be great, but my weekends are usually always full for tournaments. I HAVE to do homework/study during the week, because if I didn't, I would fail out. UAB has the means to do something like this, but I personally will not have the time during the weekdays of the semester to fulfill all that would be needed of me. However, UAB does have club "meetings". We make announcements, but we basically smash the entire time. We meet mondays at 530, but I rent out the room at 430 to set up and keep the room till 9. Any one is welcome to the meetings. These meetings are for people to get better, and, in my experience, the best way to get better is to go to a tournament. This could turn into a weekly, but having a bi-weekly and the next day a weekly would be pretty strenuous. I know Dusta_Rhymes Dusta_Rhymes has interest for this kind of thing, but would there be others? Just let me know and I'll think about it.

If there are any other G&W mains in Alabama for smash4, I'd like to talk to you, I feel like it's good to talk about certain things but no one to talk about them to.

And thanks. : )
Goes to University of Alabama, used to main metaknight and did okay. Picked up mewtwo as a main over the summer and leveled up a TON. He has really slick movement.
