Advice with Fast Fall Up Air?

I keep hearing that this is a great combo tool for Cloud but every time I try to use it I can't input it in time before landing. FYI I use basic BIDOU (Second Stick and one trigger set to special) Any advice?

I'm sorry to say, but I think switching your c-stick to attack might be the only way to do this effectively. Unless you wanna practice for hours, but even still it'll be uncomfortable.
