One: With stuff like Footstool Jumping, crawling, and not being paralyzed after air dodging, the game will now have more so called depth
Out of all those things, air dodging is the only notable one. Crawling seems absolutely pointless, and footstool jumping was kind of disappointing from what I hear :-(.

Two: Only wavedashing seems to be gone. L-caneling is still in but it's different, hugging, egdehogging, wavelanding, are still in as well.
Most everyones DJCs were removed, save for Peach's (LOLZ), and you also forgot the turn around with B moves thing. That is also only from the top of my head at the moment.

Three: No matter how you look at it, even Melee wasn't all that deep. People only assume that because you play as known Nintendo characters. If the characters were original characters, I gurantee no one would be claiming that Smash would be deep because they won't be blinded due to fanboyism
This is the DUMBEST **** ever, because this game is obviously deep enough to cultivate such a large, successful tournament scene. That's because there are SO many options for offense and defense and with those options a plethora of strategies one could use to implement them. IF we didn't discover any ATs this game WOULDN'T have been very deep, but luckily WE DID. Those who are arguing against the existence of ATs don't really know much about the competitive scene of pretty much every competitive game.

I'm not saying it is the deepest fighter out there, but the game is deep. To throw everything we picked apart with the game into the air and say it's only deep because we are fanboys is the most ignorant thing I've heard in a long time.

Four: It SEEMS to me that some (NOT ALL) pro players are afraid of relearning the game
There isn't a pro that is afraid of relearning the game. There are only a few pros who have merely expressed their frustrations with how Brawl appears. Learn to recognize the difference between "fearing" and simply being annoyed/frustrated. M2King gets A LOT of crap about "being afraid" of relearning, when he was one of the first people to deeply analyze Melee from a frame by frame perspective. Why the hell do you guys think he wouldn't do that again? Why do you think he is so afraid of change? He isn't, he is just afraid that Brawl won't be a good game competitively.

Five: I know this post will be overlooked. Whether people agree with my points or not. It won't even get counterarguments sadly.
Took me a while to get around to it, but there you go. I hope you come back to debate this.

Without advanced techniques it's a lot harder to be significantly better than someone else. If my Peach couldn't Float Cancel, DD, Wavedash, Chain Throw, Tech, or V-Drop my peach would really suck.
as opposed to focusing on what would be her next best abilities if those ones weren't around?

more of these wavedash threads? I tought that the former wavedash input was gone, so speaking of it for brawl is no far from futile.

anyway, I think that you should stick a thread for newbie users, a MUST read, as much as the rules, with the meanings of top tier, good, competitive and so. I've been here a lot, and in the way is written, it sounds as there are two kind of players: the ones who wavedash like mads, and the ones who suck.

then, I remember this is THE harcore place for smash, and those words have diferent meanings.
Any newbie will feel blatantly underpowered, since here is new user-friendly, but not noob-friendly.

Me, as human , could reach your high-ranking levels, but I personally am so lazy that I prefer being mid-good player --( a term I've never seen used here, wich could greatly improve the competitive-casual relations)-- but noobs again, arrive here, and expect to be treated as the king of edenia, because they don't know how good are others, and those good with one character, will feel their dominance at risk, and try to keep it down , and then the eternal dance begins again.

in short, you should begin bannig anyone talking about wavedashing in brawl forums, starting with myself, and try to add somewhere in the rules some sort of line like: "this is THE harcore smash area with an already solid hierarchy. act as the pawn you are"

sounds rude? but not untrue

He is right. Anyone who is anyone in the Smash community is a user here(most likely). Anyone who can do an advanced technique is a user here, or at least knows a user here well enough to be taught advanced techniques. This place isn't really for beginner players unless they are trying to learn how to get better at the game. And the people who come in here and run their mouth about how good they are are not good. Why? Because we already know who the truly great players are. If they are so good we would have heard of them. I don't know if we should go banning people but there really should be a crackdown on these advanced technique threads. Both the ones about them being in Brawl/making Brawl not technical AND the ones about how "it isn't necessary to know them to be good". There is a new thread debating this stupid crap every day with some noob who thinks this stuff is true. With Brawl, we have to wait and see, 'nuff said. And about current stuff; you need to know the advanced techniques to be good, so get over it. We have enough threads outlining details about EVERYTHING you need to know, and they are probably ALL stickied, do some research before posting people.

This is not directed to anyone in particular, just THOSE kind of people whom are mentioned within this post.

ME>you(in smash)
Where are you from Platnum?

@Rockmace: Most competitive players aren't asking people to bend to their opinions and just their opinions. Most of the time it's the n00bs that try to get US to bend to their ways. What I see day in and day out is the lack of acknowledging of the competitive community. For some reason they think their ideas are infinitely better than our tried and true method that was brought about due to the evolution of melee. I don't mind people having differing opinions, but I'll be ****ed if they tell me we don't have good reasons to do things how we do it.
