Job #7: Megaphone (7th Dragon)

1638255811219.png

Megaphone is a weapon type unique to the Idol class characters in 7th Dragon 2020 II.

When picked up, a colorful, large megaphone will be held by the character who got the item and they will use it to create a large shockwave around them. This attack inflicts a random status effect on anyone it hits on top of knocking them away.

If it's used in the same race three times, Megaphone will also grant the user a special effect called "Superstar", in which they will gain a small speed and weight boost coupled with short invincibility, indicated by a rainbow effect and its own leitmotif.

Banana (Super Monkey Ball)

Functionally identical to the Banana Peel item in Mario Kart-the angle when throwing it forward has been adjusted a bit to make it easier to snipe opponents, however.
Biggest change is that it has a Dole logo on the side. Which I think is funny, needless to say. If this were Mario Kart it wouldn't make much sense, for sure, but everyone who has played Super Monkey Ball will get the reference. Plus, branding it as a Dole banana makes it visually distinct from the smiley Banana Peel from Nintendo, while also not just making it a generic banana.

My votes:
1. Stardust Speedway
2. Green Hill Road

OutRun: World Tour

Job 7:
Stun Gun (Bonanza Bros.)

When activated, it shoots a projectile that Stuns opponent like in OG game.

Classic Submittion:
Fantasy Zone (Arcade)

It's the same demo copy of Fantasy Zone on Arcade.

Battle Track:
Plaleaf Stadium (Fantasy Zone)

The shape of Battle Track has shape of Dralinflore and there are some walls placed, the gimmick is Dralinflore spawn, where they spawn and attack you with sending FZ enemies to attack players.

Job #7: Animal Eggs (Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg)

Animal-Eggs.png

These egg-cellent items when picked up will trail behind the player's go Kart. The eggs will start off small, but when rolled a certain distance(by simply keeping them out), they will hatch into one of the following creatures:

Cipher.png
Cipher: Upon hatching, this firey creature will create a wall of fire up ahead, instantly breaking any weapon held by any other racer that goes through it and causing a spin out. Does not harm the user.

Clippen.png
Clippen: When hatched, these penguin like animals create skid out puddle traps on track up ahead and creates a water shield around you protecting from a single hit. This water shield wears out after five seconds.

Recky.png
Recky: When hatched, this flying monkey like beast will create a wall of lightning up ahead that will temporarily stun opponents taking SOME control away from them. This one stuns them repeatedly, affecting them for longer than the other traps although unlike the other traps they're still capable of moving without spinning out. Effective when an opponent is entering a sharp turn with no barriers as the stun will cause them to fall off the track!

The downside of this fantastic weapon?

These items cannot be used immediately and must be held by the racer for a certain distance on the track to hatch them, mimicking the rollinggameplay of Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg.

Any projectile item shot at the egg carrying racer will break the egg open pre-emptively preventing them from being used, offering a risk vs. reward system where you have a powerful trap weapon but it's very fragile during it's charge up time.

Job #7: Lightning Magic from Golden Axe
20211130_191514.jpg

Ah, the iconic lightning special move from Golden Axe. Pretty simple function - once you use it, lightning strikes every other character on the race. Basically imagine the lightning item from Mario Kart except it doesn't shrink you. It's represented in the item roulette by one of the magic jars from the original game

Tons of responses here! Thank you all so much, we've had some amazing submissions!

Starting up, for Job #4, the Sonic the Hedgehog track is Stardust Speedway, by OrpheusTelos OrpheusTelos , and our OutRun track (by a landslide,) is OutRunners: World Tour, by Speed Weed Speed Weed . These are alongside West Coast for Crazy Taxi, by osby osby .

By proxy, this means our first Cassettes are:

Sonic the Hedgehog:
Vs. Metal Sonic
Sonic Boom (Crush 40 version)
Metallic Madness

OutRun:
Magical Sound Shower
Splash Wave
Passing Breeze

Crazy Taxi:
All I Want
Ten in 2010
Raw Power Angel

We of course covered Job #6 earlier, seems as all of the submissions are good ones to add, but I'll list them here:
Alternate Costumes/Models, suggested by osby osby
Character Bios, suggested by Tankman from Newgrounds Tankman from Newgrounds
Cosmetics/Recolours, suggested by Janx_uwu Janx_uwu
Race Crew/Custom "Flagmen", suggested by YoshiandToad YoshiandToad

We may add some added custom content later on, but these will be a sort of common occurrence here.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

For Job #7, the following options are:

SEGA Channel, by Wario Wario Wario Wario Wario Wario
Megaphone, by osby osby
Banana, by Janx_uwu Janx_uwu
Stun Gun, by Tankman from Newgrounds Tankman from Newgrounds
Animal Eggs, by YoshiandToad YoshiandToad
Lightning Magic, by Speed Weed Speed Weed

Please vote for your top three - with your own submission in either second or third. Have fun with it! (I'm thinking we'll add two of these.)

For Job #8, the confirmed additions are Fantasy Zone (Arcade) by Tankman from Newgrounds Tankman from Newgrounds and OutRun (Arcade) by tonygameman tonygameman . However, the Sonic game of choice is put to a vote:

Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (Game Gear), by Wario Wario Wario Wario Wario Wario
Sonic the Hedgehog: Triple Trouble, by Glubbfubb Glubbfubb
Tails' Adventure, by Janx_uwu Janx_uwu

In terms of Job #9, we got Plaleaf Stadium, originating from Fantasy Zone, and submitted by Tankman from Newgrounds Tankman from Newgrounds , so that'll be the first Battle Stage.

Just for clarification, I'm going to add the required aspects to the main page too, once I've posted this.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Job #10
A bit of a more focused one - submit a character particularly associated with the Genesis/Megadrive. We can count the SEGA CD and the 32X here, too! For this job, the character in question doesn't have to have originated from the Genesis/Megadrive, but they have to be closely associated with the console in some way. Also, for now, we can't put in any third-party picks.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Job #11
And, a bit of a bizarre one - submit an announcer! My idea for this is that as a part of bonus content as a whole, it's possible to have various different announcers that you can select. Ideally, it would be a character that wouldn't be playable - but don't feel like this is a hard gate on the roster at all. Feel free to get creative - what sort of quirks would the announcer have? Would they react in unique ways?

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So, that should do well for now. I just want to thank you all so, so much once again for engaging here. It means a lot, seriously - be sure, as usual, to keep safe, have fun, and don't overwork yourselves!

Job #10: Bonanza Bros.

Always loved these wacky felons, a veteran from S&ASR to boot! They would drive their getaway limo.

1. Stun Gun
2. Dole Banana
3. Sega Channel

Sonic vote:
Triple Trouble

(also I should note that I put down the Master System version of Sonic 2 and not the Game Gear version, but extremely easy mistake.)

Announcer submission:
Dr. Rooooooobotnik

That being AoStH's Robotnik. He would be voiced with existing voice lines pieced together like a YTP.

Job #10: Nei (Phantasy Star)
BDA9F8E4-4AD3-42BF-8A86-5D31D3D0C880.jpeg

Nei is a major character and party member from Phantasy Star II. She’s the second in a line of genetically altered human/monster hybrids called Numans/Newmans, and she serves as the companion to the game’s main protagonist Rolf.

Despite being Sega’s big JRPG franchise, Phantasy Star has been surprisingly absent from both All-Star Racing titles. Nei was originally considered for the first ASR game, but ultimately didn’t make the cut. Which is pretty damn unfortunate, because she’s cool as hell. She’s a super popular character among the fandom, appearing in many different crossovers and being the first in a race that would later populate the world of Phantasy Star. Her vehicle would resemble a spaceship, and she’d be a very speed-focused character.

Job #10: Chuck D. Head (Decap Attack)
1638340118191.png

Decap Attack is a 1991 platform video game for Genesis. It's a westernized version of the 1990 Japanese Mega Drive game but has a completely different... well, everything and now has a unique, cartoonish Halloween aesthetic.

Being the harder and darker version of a more lighthearted Japanese platforming game, this game is as Genesis as you can get, even if it wasn't a big hit. The reanimated mummy Chuck himself is also a fairly popular face among SEGA fans thanks to his long-running comic strip.

As a racer, Chuck could drive a vehicle decorated with bones and other creepy paraphernalia and he would be a heavier character with poor handling but good acceleration.

Job #11: DJ Professor K (Jet Set Radio)

1638341795340.png

DJ Professor K is the DJ for Jet Set Radio and the main character in the series. He narrates some events and even did exactly that in Sonic & All-Stars Transformed. A lot of fans wanted to see his role being expanded and I find him perfect for the idea of an announcer, especially seeing it's unlikely that he'll be playable over more prominent JSR characters.

Job #10: New Racer from SEGA Genesis - Taro Yamada (Rent-A-Hero - 1991)

(a starting "essay" part is borrowed straight from my post in Battle of AGES)

Taro Yamada is the main protagonist of a 1991 Japanese-exclusive action RPG game named Rent-A-Hero, which was released on SEGA Genesis/Mega Drive and used the same graphic engine as Sword of Vermillion. The game follows him moving to the town of Corja in Japan alongside his family and younger sister Alyssa, after his eccentric father changed jobs. During their house-warming party, he ordered pizza from 'Sensational Cafeteria' (or SECA in short) and instead received the Super Energy Combat Armor (coincidence by name? - as a part of the "Rent-A-Hero" program) by accident, which gave him superhuman strength and other gadgets. After realizing that he is required to pay a fee to rent the armor, Taro decided to become a titular part-time hero for hire (who looks like Captain Commando), performing various odd-jobs for the townspeople of Corja such as delivering food or finding missing children, before ending up in more intensive missions involving corporate theft, counterfeit money and mafia.

Instead of traditional turn-based battles, Taro will face enemies in a similar format to 2D fighting games, akin to Street Fighter and others, which was an unusual innovation for the RPG genre at a time. The game was a self-parody of SEGA, a decade before Segagaga was released (with a same-named protagonist), alongside cultural references of Sentai, American superheroes and Japan's culture/society between the 80's and 90's.

Despite being lesser-known compared to other Genesis games, Rent-A-Hero has proven to be popular thanks to it's comical tone and self-aware humor, having gained a modern reputation as one of SEGA's fondly-remembered cult classics. The game is one of the 42 pre-installed games on SEGA Genesis Mini's Japanese release, the Dreamcast/Xbox remake (Rent-A-Hero No. 1, which had a cancelled English adaptation) with Segata Sanshiro on it (which also has beat 'em up sections akin to Spikeout), a live stage show in Japan and had a movie/film in works. He even made appearances in Shenmue as a capsule toy, a poster on Sarah & Jacky's stage in Virtua Fighter 2, and finally, Fighters Megamix with his own vocal theme from Takenobu Mitsuyoshi, where he fought various characters such as Virtua Fighters themselves, Fighting Vipers and of all things, Hornet from Daytona USA. A idea of people renting hero suits was later revived by SEGA in a Nintendo 3DS game called Hero Bank.

To reflect on Rent-A-Hero's tokusatsu/Sentai-inspired influence, Taro's vehicle is a sleek, futuristic Suzuki-like blue motorcycle with silver accents and orange lights based on his Super Energy Combat Armor, also loosely referencing Rider Machines from the Kamen Rider franchise (possible customization options?), which makes him a heavy, slightly fast racer with high speed and weight, but has poor acceleration.

His All-Star Move will be something original, which involves Taro's motorcycle transforming into a mecha version of his Super Energy Combat Armor which flies at high speeds and is able to shoot energy projectiles forward when the player presses a item button, while a part of his theme song's instrumental version plays during this. It is a tradition for vehicles transforming into mechas and any awesome stuff like that in Japanese shows (such as Denjin Zaborger, Viper's Creed, RideBack, etc. for motorcycles in exact and a foreign example, Transformers itself), after all.

Considering osby osby 's idea on other characters being alternate costumes, Hiroko from the Dreamcast remake, promotional material and a live stage show, would pretty well work as one for Taro himself, also changing the motorcycle's color into a red one with grey accents and more feminine appearance for it's mecha mode.

Job #11: New Announcer - Jake Paterson (SEGA Race TV - 2008)

SEGA Race TV is an arcade racing game which was developed by MA Plus for SEGA Lindbergh arcade hardware in 2008, notable for being Yu Suzuki's last game during his time at SEGA before leaving. The game consists of over-the-top racing with nine characters, their own customizable licensed cars that can be obtained through passwords, five different courses that include traps/obstacles and real-time commentary by Mike and Jake Patterson, who we're focusing on for this prompt. He also drives the Mercury 1949 Convertible when picked up as a playable character, and look at those goddamn dancing skills with that encouraging, loud-voiced macho-like passion in the game's attract mode, with his voice clips recycled straight from SEGA Race TV and new ones recorded by whoever did his voice in it.

I think all of this is enough to tell the "announcer" side of my post out, Internet didn't give me enough text to describe Jake himself. These two submissions were made for a huge fan of both games, Speed Weed Speed Weed .

Job #10:
Blaze Fielding (Streets of Rage)
Blaze-Fielding-concept-art-work-in-progress.png

Streets of Rage (or Bare Knuckle as it's known in Japan) is a series that, until last year, was locked entirely to the Genesis/Mega Drive and is always included in Genesis/Mega Drive compilations.

Blaze herself is playable in every entry of the series, and alongside her co-workers Axel Stone and Adam Hunter even drove in a kart racer once before; Japan's 3DS exclusive version of Power Drift.

Whilst Axel may seem like the more obvious Streets of Rage pick, Blaze has as much of a perfect attendance as he does, but is usually also the more plot relevant individual seeing as she is a private detective after the first game and usually is the one to gather information about the Syndicate's plans to rise to power.

Vehicle wise, she has the police car she and her co-workers can summon(modified to remove the roof).

VECTORMAN (VECTORMAN)

Vectorman is main Protagonist of Vectorman games. He is titular Green Orbot, who has purpose for cleaning the world while people were on different planet in 2042. Vectorman saved the world from Villainous threats like Warhead Raster or Evil widow Queen from ruling the Earth.

(I don't have photo, since it's broken)
If he was in SaSAR 3, he could ride in form of.... Motorcycle? Yeah, it could Vectorcycle, which Vectorman turned himself into Motorcycle form, where he has Wheels behind him and in from of him, looking like Motorcycle.
Or Even he could ride on his Poly Runner (I don't have photo, but he rides on Vectroman-styled Car), which he rides in his Green Car.

His Allstar Move would be Vectortank, which he turns into Futuristic green Tank that has resistance to other Allstar Moves and Items. He also can shoot at opponents with his bullets to stun the Racer.
He could have best Handling, but low acceleration.

He is one of most lesser-known SEGA character, but he has a chance to return in this Game as Racer of Upcoming SASR game, which it's our thread.

JOB 10: Princess Kurumi (Ninja Princess/Sega Ninja)

Princess Kurumi is the protagonist of the run-and-gun shooter arcade game, Ninja Princess. Kurumi must reclaim her kingdom from the evil tryant, Gyokuro. While the game was praised for having a female protagonist, Sega amended this in the game's Western MS release by replacing Kurumi with a male protagonist who must instead rescue her. Her legacy lives on as a cameo in the AGES games, as well as her game being a plot point in the poorly-received yet successful novel Ready Player Two. However, in terms of actual games, she has yet to leave the Master System. I think she would be a pretty cool inclusion, personally. As for a vehicle, honestly not sure-maybe something based on Edo period Japanese architecture, as that is when Ninja Princess is set.
EDIT: Something actually just occurred to me: maybe her vehicle can be inspired by the boats from The Great Wave Off Kanagawa? It was made in the late Edo period and if Tails can fly a plane, I see no problem with a boat vehicle.
Guess we'll also take feudal-era Japanese wagons as an another example for her vehicle, with a wheeled wooden horse at the front akin to Gilius' vehicle in All-Stars Racing Transformed, a carriage in which she was stuffed when kidnapped by carrier enemies in the opening before escaping or most of all, both combined into one, a former being the main body with wheels and a latter as some kind of cab Kurumi will sit on?

For her All-Star Move, Kurumi would be able to throw giant shurikens/throwing stars forward at racers, stunning them for a brief time.

While I like/highly enjoy the idea of Kurumi in any kind of SEGA crossover and appreciate people acknowledging the game and her themselves, Ninja Princess isn't related to Genesis/Mega Drive that much, so it's unfortunately ineligible for this job, however.

Janx_uwu Janx_uwu Another tag for Ristar, with a few of vehicle concepts and a obvious idea of using the Star Pole to fling himself forward at flying speeds in his All-Star Move.

Damn, thanks again everyone! We actually got some really neat submissions today, so I'm really looking forward to seeing who wins! First up though, let's look at the votes that came in:

For Job #7, the winner wound up being SEGA Channel, submitted by Wario Wario Wario Wario Wario Wario - and our first Item in the game! Let me tell you this though, it was hella close - so to fill out the list, the second most voted was Lightning Magic, submitted by Speed Weed Speed Weed , originating from the Golden Axe series.

For Job #8, the winner (which I actually was a little surprised by,) is Tails' Adventure, submitted by Janx_uwu Janx_uwu ! That makes it our first actual 8-bit game in the collection, leading to a quite interesting lineup so far!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Next up, let's list off the submissions for Job #10:

Bonanza Bros. from Bonanza Bros., submitted by Wario Wario Wario Wario Wario Wario
Nei, from Phantasy Star II, submitted by OrpheusTelos OrpheusTelos
Chuck D. Head, from Decap Attack, submitted by osby osby
Taro Yamada, from Rent-A-Hero, submitted by tonygameman tonygameman
Blaze Fielding, from Streets of Rage, submitted by YoshiandToad YoshiandToad
Ristar, from Ristar, submitted by Janx_uwu Janx_uwu
Vectorman, from Vectorman, submitted by Tankman from Newgrounds Tankman from Newgrounds

Once again, please vote for your top three picks, as this will be a weighted vote - though, you can only submit your own in either second or third.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

And, here's the submissions for Job #11:

Dr. Robotnik, from Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog, submitted by Wario Wario Wario Wario Wario Wario
DJ Professor K, from Jet Set Radio, submitted by osby osby
Jake Paterson, from SEGA Race TV, submitted by tonygameman tonygameman

With this, feel free to just vote for your personal favourite pick, as long as you don't vote your own.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So, that brings us to today's new jobs! Starting with:

Job #12: Submit a vehicle that Sonic will drive by default (we can add others in costumes.)

Given that the base vehicles of Opa-Opa, B.D. Joe and Alberto and Clarissa are quite obvious, Sonic is our only real outlier. He's had a variety of vehicles in the past, but you can submit something all new if you like! Just be sure to describe it. Bear in mind the limitations that vehicles would have in the series.

Job #13: Submit a Race Crew Flagman!

In this case, you're not limited to any particular series or anything of the like. There is a catch - flagmen won't be able to be playable, including in alternate costumes... though, feel free to get inventive! As of current, however, it has to originate from SEGA.

Job #14: Submit up to 5 "bonus" Cassettes for each track!

As of current, every track has three Cassettes that come with it naturally. However, the idea behind this is that similar to the Shop in the first game, you can buy more Cassettes with in-game credits (NO MICROTRANSACTIONS HERE). Up to 5 Cassettes can be submitted for each track, and should originate from that series - though, you can include originals or remixes (even if they're fanmade, we'll just say that they were made for this.) Even so, be realistic - try and have the majority stem from SEGA, as I can't imagine they'd let this happen unless it was a matter of dragging up MP3 files from the archives.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Anyways, once again I plead to you all to keep safe out there, and have fun! Perhaps most importantly, be sure to drink lots of water - whilst it's colder out now that it's winter, it's easy to get dehydrated. See you all around!

LOPIT

Sega's Joypolis mascot, LOPIT is a virtual being who loves to perform. Unfortunately due to being loaded with glitches, she occasionally bugs out and causes trouble. Rest assured she'll wave that flag with gusto. She's actually made up of dozens of those orb like balls in her hair and can form and split apart into a bunch of them at will.

The SEGA's unofficial Mascot, Prof. Asobin!
He is a rabbit, who gives tips about SEGA games and he debuted before Opa-Opa as SEGA's unofficial mascot for SG-1000.

As a Flagman, he could act like flagman and he is now rendered in 3D, cool isn't it?
And he also acts like Guy, who gives tips during Loading Screens, replacing Sonic says.

Job 12:
Sonic retains his Speed Star, but it's now upgraded to more Futuristic Speed Star, calling it: SPEED STAR MARK II.

Sega Hard Girls
Sega Hard Girls is a multi media project that reimagines various Sega consoles and hardware as goddesses in an anime artstyle. They made a lot of merch, becoming a hit. They received a light novel seires, an anime and a video game crossover with the popular Hyperdimension Neptunia franchise. This flag barrier is technically three characters. As one of three girls has a chance of appearing, Mega Drive, Dreamcast, and Saturn. These are three of the most popular girls and the ones most used in marketing.

Job #13: New Flagman - Flag Man (OutRun)

Yep, that was actually his real name, simply enough.

Throughout the OutRun series, this titular guy always appears at the beginning of the race, waving his checkered flag when it's starting out with a green light flashing up. In OutRun 2 and it's updates, if a player remains at the starting line for a long time, the Flag Man will perform random stuff such as a light exercise, fierce dance moves, moon-walking, breakdancing, etc. This would be easily implemented for the project as some kind of a easter egg.

For a fun fact, as YoshiandToad YoshiandToad said, he also appeared as a playable guest character/racer in 3D Power Drift, which was a Japan-exclusive game of the SEGA Ages line-up on Nintendo 3DS.

Scrap Brain Zone Speed Wagon

Okay, firstly please ignore the EXTREME roughness of this 15 minute mock-up, but this image is to showcase a basic idea of how the kart may look rather than saying this should be the finalised version.

Having complained about previous race cars being far too slow for him to truly enjoy, Tails has redesigned Sonic's Go-Kart to include a set of dash panels and a treadmill, allowing Sonic to finally power his own vehicle. That's right, this is basically a pedal powered kart, with no engine required.

Whilst not as cool looking as his previous vehicles, Sonic can finally stretch his legs on the race track and showcase his true speed.

Having complained about previous race cars being a too slow for him to truly enjoy, Tails has redesigned Sonic's Go-Kart to include a set of dash panels and a treadmill, allowing Sonic to finally power his own vehicle. That's right, this is basically a pedal powered kart, with no engine required.

Whilst not as cool looking as his previous vehicles, Sonic can finally stretch his legs on the race track and showcase his true speed.

I love this so much, I was going to submit my own Sonic car but I don't think I could possibly beat this.

Here we are again! First up, I'd like to apologise for not being around yesterday - I'll try and be more punctual, it's just a lot of stuff came up. (I'll get onto this, though.) That aside, let's see who's been voted in:

For Job #10, it's a good idea to have the top three get in once more. (After all, all of them are pretty unique, and the Genesis era was very important to SEGA's history. This means in first place, we have Nei, from the Phantasy Star series and submitted by OrpheusTelos OrpheusTelos . In second comes Blaze Fielding, from the Streets of Rage series, submitted by YoshiandToad YoshiandToad . In third comes Ristar, from the self-titled Ristar... series? and submitted by Janx_uwu Janx_uwu .

For Job #11, by far the most popular pick was DJ Professor K from the Jet Set Radio series, submitted by osby osby , so he's getting in as our first bonus announcer!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Job #12 was to submit the vehicle Sonic will drive by default, and we actually got some really cool submissions here! Here's the list:

Speed Star, being retained from the previous games and submitted by osby osby
Speed Star MKII, submitted by Tankman from Newgrounds Tankman from Newgrounds
Scrap Brain Speed Wagon, submitted by YoshiandToad YoshiandToad

For this one, just pick your top submission, as long as it's not your own - given there's only three here.

For Job #13, the flagman submissions we got were really good too! Let's list them below:

SEGA-chan, submitted by Wario Wario Wario Wario Wario Wario
Lopit, submitted by YoshiandToad YoshiandToad
Professor Asobin, submitted by Tankman from Newgrounds Tankman from Newgrounds
SEGA Hard Girls, submitted by @Darkonedagger
Flag Man (OutRun), submitted by tonygameman tonygameman

Please vote for your top three, though you can only vote for your own in either second or third place. These votes will, once again, be weighted.

For Job #14, here's some of the bonus cassettes:

Sonic the Hedgehog
Wario Wario Wario Wario Wario Wario 's submission, found here
Tankman from Newgrounds Tankman from Newgrounds 's submission, found here

OutRun
Speed Weed Speed Weed 's submission, found here
Janx_uwu Janx_uwu 's submission, found here

Please vote for your personal favourite of each one that applies!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

That leads us to our new jobs, so let's have a look:

Job #14: Submit a track from one of the following series, as well as three Cassettes for each one:
Fantasy Zone
Phantasy Star
Streets of Rage
Ristar

Feel free to submit one of each if you like! However, you can only submit one from each series.

Job #15: Submit a Classic from one of the new series (Phantasy Star, Streets of Rage or Ristar)! I get that Crazy Taxi won't have one, but luckily, the three new series do have some that fit the category.

Job #16: Not really a job, but more an open question: Would you all prefer it if I left jobs open for one day, or two? I wouldn't want to be rushing you all to submit, but at the same time, I don't want y'all to think the thread has died.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Anyways, once again, I apologise for leaving the place to die - keep safe, and have fun! See ya on the flipside!

Job 12:
Original Speed Star

Job 13:
1. Sega Hard Girls
2. Prof. Asobin
3. LOPIT
(I always vote for waifus obviously and for mine)

Job 14:
Wario's Casettes

Speed Weed's Cassettes

Job 14 again:
Menon Galactic highway (Fantasy Zone)

This track takes place at planet Sulfur, which is the last level of Fantasy Zone.
The track's layout has shape of Opa-Opa's body (excluding wings and legs)

First part after Start takes place inside Sulfur, where O-papa fight takes place and you go straight and later turn right on big drifting mechanical curve and you go outside to Galaxy on Futuristic-looking Highway with enemies like Dralinflores or others while driving.

Next Part is Opa-Opa's back, where you go through fall-off part, where you can easily fall-off while enemies are trying to crash at you.

After being outside, you go back to Menon Base at Sulfur and you go straight to Finish Line.

The gimmicks are that the Layout changes every lap, like:
  • Second lap extends for Wings part
  • Final Lap extends legs

After second lap, O-papa appears as Track hazard and he interferes with Racers by shooting at Racers.

And additional change is that after first lap and onwards, the Cosmic background becomes Strange Field from Super Fantasy Zone, which it makes the Race more psychadelic.

Cassettes:
  • Opa-Opa!
  • Fantasy Zone boss theme
  • Super Fantasy Zone title theme

Job 15:
Ristar Cassic

It's basically demo of First level of Ristar.

Job 16:
I prefer 2 days, since there are gonna be huge amount of people in Future, so we could leave some time for them to submit.

Job #12:
I vote for Speed Star MKII. I think both submissions were good but maybe a bit more traditional option would be the more appropriate.

Job #13:
  1. SEGA Hard Girls
  2. Professor Asobin
  3. Lopit
Job #14:

Sonic: Tankman's tracklist
OutRun: Speed's tracklist

Job #15: Old Pier (Streets of Rage)

Old_Pier.png

Structurally, this track is pretty similar to the Pirates Ocean from the first SEGA All-Stars Racing.

Ghost Fair
They're Back
Spotlight Sommersault

Job #15: Phantasy Star IV. The demo would include the boss fight against the first Dark Force.

Job #16: I think with the number of jobs we have for each submission period, having them stay open for two days might be more beneficial. That way we wouldn't have to try and immediately write nominations without thinking them through.
