Lol nice WL Diddy XD

Getting out of the habit of wavedashing is probably not a big deal. Wavedashing is a conscious maneuver unlike something like Lcanceling where you do it on every attack all the time.. I think that relearning to Lcancel will be harder than anything else.

Christ, as a Mario player Peach's wavedashing is a double kick in the balls. Haven't they buffed her enough already? *facepalm*

Peach is gonna be God tier, just wait.

BTW this thread doesn't really help anyone, people who play in tournaments aren't just going to drop WDing to "feel proud of themselves", I know I sure as I won't.

Also note that WDing is one of many techniques, you should be more worried about stuff like SHFFLing, ledgehopping and jump canceling which are probably still in Brawl.

("Waveless melee tournaments. For a better brawling future").
Best quote ever. This is how super smash bros. started, with no wavedash, melee was pretty fun too with no wavedash but it's fun too use......so flashy!!!!! I really don't care about the tactics returning in brawl who needs them anyway.

First off, use you signature for those pictures, they take up too much room and they are fugly.

Second off this is the dumbest post I've heard in a while. Who needs tactics?

Who needs TACTICS?

Smart people need and use tactics otherwise you end up throwing out random attacks with no consideration for your opponent's whereabouts and movements.

Brawl doesn't have WDing but that doesn't mean it won't have tactics. Good job at making yourself look dumb.

Okay computer geek sorry. Is not my fault that I don't play too much video games. Good job for making yourself making look like a geek with no life.
Don't post ridiculous stuff like this on a forum for playing smash competitively please. Even if what he said was uncalled for, avoid using this rebuttal.

Yes please.

Generally try to stay away from insulting, as for it is usually over small issues, and lead to flaming. SWF is not a another GameFaq's Message board.(Thank God)

okay I was just trying to point out the game should be played how it is supposed to with no wavedash. Don't you guys remember how fun it was to play smash for the one in N64??? With no competitive playing and when it was just plain fun??? I missed those times. Now a days it's just competitive playing among every other video game, just to see who's better, I'd rather just play for fun.

There you go again, making yourself look dumb. Learn to read, please, it's like you're hitting yourself. I didn't call you dumb I said you're making yourself LOOK dumb. Good job at failing to comprehend.

And your way of defending yourself doesn't help you either. This is the exact reason casuals and competitives can't get along because people like you think you're good at the game yet you're too cool to practice or learn the deeper elements off the game.

I take back what I said earlier. You don't LOOK dumb, you ARE dumb.

P.S. I don't care if I am a geek, I love what I do and have no shame in it.

I'm not reading the whole thread. ¬¬ it seems thtat it's full of flames

But well, playing brawl will gonna be harder for the Wdashers, why?, because it's easier to play, yes, i said it, it's easier, i'm a wavedasher, and playing w/o wdash it's harder. And slower.

But, a few years ago, i didn't knew bout Wdash, so, i'm a little bit used with the "normal" gameplay.

So don't flame me cos you know it's true.

i know to wavedash perfectly since about 3 monthes ago... i just use it to wave + grab, wave + smash, wasve dash after a dash dance or to hang in a ledge... i can sure get used to different tactics, but heck, wavedash was one of my best advantages in meele...

I'm not too worried about the transition. I picked up SSB64 recently and it took me less then half an hour to get wavedashing "out of my system". Humans are surprisingly good at adapting to change.

The only thing that will help by playing melee now is getting used to recovering (some people have problems with this for some reason...) and learning to watch your opponent. That's all that will be held over (without being changed at all).
