4BR First Official Top 25 Players Voting [Postponed]

As members of the Smash 4 Back Room, there is always a duty to fulfill that is highly recognized amongst the community as not just an expectation of the BR, but as a major thing for the scene as a whole; in this case, we're talking about a Player Ranking. Smash 4 is now reaching a major point in it's history, with so many tournaments and rising players making a name for themselves. I'm happy to announce that we will now be voting on this, starting now.

This list, much like how the First Official Tier List was done, will be a voted process. Each voter will rank all of the players on the list from a scale of 1-10, based on their abilities compared to the general Smash playerbase (with higher numbers indicating higher skill), decimals allowed. Incomplete votes will not be accepted. Here's a few things to note:

• The United States is by far the most active and one of the strongest regions (if not the strongest) in the world, with tons of tournaments occurring daily. As a result, when it comes to voting and ranking your list of players, activity & performance in US tournaments should hold the most weight compared to other tournaments.
• Your list must include all 53 players.
• There will be voters outside the 4BR; these are selected individuals that we seek out participate in the list.
• You may edit your vote at any time. However, votes are currently set to be locked in on May 31st at 11:00 PM CDT.
• Individual votes will not be released; however, once the full list of 25 is released, you are free to release your own.

There are a total of 53 players that will be ranked on this list. They were decided by this procedure:

Players then made the second qualification into the final list by fulfilling one of the criteria below:

• Top 16 Finish at Apex 2015, CEO 2015, or The Big House 5.
• Top 32 Finish at Evolution 2015 or Genesis 3.
• Top 8 Finish at Paragon LA 2015, Super Smash Con, Pound 2016 or Shots Fired 2.

In addition, we will be releasing the list through multiple sections on Smashboards's News Section. We will be releasing the list in sections of 5, starting with 25 and ending with #1. Do you happen to know quite a bit about a player, or know them on a more personal level and would like to write a blurb about them if they make it onto the list? Please let us know. The deadline for player blurbs is June 2nd at 11:00 PM CDT, with the first article being released on June 3rd. Please keep blurbs at a maximum of 250 words.

Hello,

What started as a bit more broader of a project eventually became rather delayed. Unfortunately, circumstances beyond our control ended up detracting from this project and the public desire for it. While this project may be shelved for now, that does not mean that we won't revisit it again in the future.
