4/19 Gigabits The Melee Exploded into a Brawl Results

The tournament over the weekend was a massive success!

In final was had 49 Teams for Doubles and 126 Single Entrants (Thats after I gave 37 refunds for people that knew they couldn't stay till the end of the tournament).

Anyways RESULTS:

The Doubles Tournament was a standard Double Elimination Tournament using a 64 person bracket.

Singles-

For singles we had to hold Elimination Pools due to the amount of people (because I don't have a large enough bracket and it would be difficult if not impossible to control people waiting for mathces without pools with this many people in our facility).

There were 12 pools of 10-11 people. From each pool 4 people would advance to the 48 Person Double Elimination Final Bracket.

I would like to thank the community for helping make this tournament a huge success. We could not do this without you.

Next tournament there will be some changes to help the tournament end quicker, I will details those at a later date.

My team (Daybreak) tied for 7th, I guess I'm proud to make it that far but I played a VERY bad first round game and as a result we lost the very first game we played because of me. Sorry PINK for letting you down first round.

Good **** though for the rest of doubles. I didn't make it out of pools in singles but I got four hours of sleep and I was REALLY tired, I wasnt exactly playing at my best. Good job though everyone.

Thats where a lot of WATO chill. it was kinda gay how he DQ'ed dop/splinter. i mean, he's pretty dang good, but can be kinda annoying sometimes i guess. I wanted to see how he would do at a big tourney though, and he ended tieing with me. so that was good.

MCO flies into Orlando, which is where Gigabits is located!!!

Right now it is scheduled for May 17th, but it may change because of another tourneys conflicting date, so I'd wait for a lil bit!!!
