J.I.L., if you cannot discuss this civilly, you will not be around much longer. You may not call your opposition "losers," you may not claim that they don't do anything to advance the country. Doing that and then saying "I rest my case" as if you have just done some incredible, unprecedented logical refutation is both obvious flaming and absurd. Your tone is unacceptable. Do not do that again.

Here’s what I’m thinking:

Trump will win in 2020 cause the Democrats will probably push in a candidate that is tpo weak but more favorable. Like last time.

And in his 2nd term, he will croak based on visual, audio, and Twitter cues in regards to his behavior facial expressions, language, etc. He says he is s the strongest and healthiest person alive but I find that hard to believe. Then we will have a Pence presidency and all **** will break loose. He will then seek to run for President and I willing to bet that the left will had enough of this and have a surge in the 2024 election.

That’s my hot take on it.

Way late on this post. Been busy/tired.

In my absence it seems Gravel and Hickenlooper dropped out and Ryan "suspended" his campaign. While I mourn the loss of Gravel, that's still way too few of those polling around one percent dropping out. Shills like Delaney are obviously only running to **** on M4A, but there are plenty of others that should realize they're not going to surpass the likes of Bernie, Warren, and Biden, when they're polling so far above everyone.

Speaking of polling, polls are all over the place, but they seem to indicate Warren and Bernie rising and Biden and Harris dropping. Seems the debates really hurt the later two.

Stop deceiving yourself. There is no “left wing equivalent”. Look at:
US
Hungary
Brazil
Australia
UK
India

AND THESE ARE JUST THE new Right wing countries. Not to mention the countries that have already been one (which is majority of the world)I mean, Canada is about to have a new election and who knows if trueade or whatever that mans name gets elected. All it takes is the Canadian Conservative party to elect a serious/responsible candidate and Canada will be added to the list.
There is indeed a right wing surge, I'm not disputing that lol. You can't deny there is a left wing equivalent though, not when you see populists such as Jeremy Corbyn and Bernie Sanders and their respective movements, among others. This isn't new, it's happened plenty of times in history, where global strife has collapsed the center and given rise to populists from both sides.

The only countries you have really is largely irrelevant small EU countries, New Zealand, North Korea and China. LOL. And the only reason North Korea and China are soclailist is because it’s the only way they can maintain power, not because they really think it’s in the best interest of its people. And even those two countries are nationalist minded.
I don't "have" anything. This isn't some sort of global conquest or Risk like game. China and North Korea aren't socialist, they're authoritarian communist. And I don't know what nationalism has anything to do with anything either.

If your policies were that good. People would be in mass immigrated to “EU” countries and New Zealand. Socialism would have a proven track record of even WORKING ( don’t give me the crip crop of Norwegian countries... they are small, ruled by an international body which gives them protection (meaning they don’t have nearly as much sovereignty as America), and they are a homogeneous culture.
We've already been over why people would or would not migrate somewhere. It has nothing to do with policy or politics. The policies I support have all been proven to work and in multiple countries.

And if you’re going to sit here and say having a unified culture has nothing to do with pushing the success of “social democracies” you are a very very unlearned person. Also, you do know those eu countries are very non accepting at their border too?
Or you could provide some reasoning as to why this is the case, as culture has nothing to do with policy or the success of it. I do know that some EU members are not welcoming of immigration. I have no idea what that has to do with anything.

Cities that are liberal run would be the envy of the world. But instead, a lot of cities of leftist policies are rat infested, high levels of homelessness, dirty streets, and have high emigration numbers to MORE CONSERVATIVE states since it’s, IRONICALLY, EASIER TO LIVE THERE.
My guy, lay off the right wing Youtubers. What issues cities have are far more complex and rooted in history and national policies, than "leftist policies". There is no flight to conservative states and as someone who lived in one all of my life, I can tell you it's no picnic.

And don’t dare blame “neo liberalism”. If you progressives were serious about your beliefs (a lot of you aren’t, you’re just impressionable delinquents), you guys wouldn’t clog up soclail forums on neoliberal news station and celebrity feeds. Anytime msnbc/cnn gives a political disentment about Bernie, guess who complains in the comments: progressive.
Part of being informed, means reading and watching multiple sources, even ones you might not ideologically agree with. That's how you learn in general, but also how you learn the limitations and biases of each source.

This guy believes in universal basic income, free college tuition and universal pre school, 15$ minimum wage, mandatory single payer healthcare system, increased business regulation, public funded elections, substantial increase taxation of the rich plus would be laxed on illegal immigration, also give them free healthcare and college, and wouldn’t allow law enforcement to turn them into custom agencies. Also, he would increase aid to countries that “don’t have human rights violations”.
Yeh. It's called investing in your future, so you may become a more productive society on the whole. The thing about societies that short the young to sustain the old, is that they don't live long.

Trump will win in 2020 cause the Democrats will probably push in a candidate that is tpo weak but more favorable. Like last time.
Ideally people won't fall for the electability meme again. I'm hoping 2016 showed people that going with who you actually would like to vote for, as opposed to who you are told you "should" vote for, is the proper way to vote.

UPDATE: Hickenlooper has been removed from the opening post as a result of him ending his campaign.

Hey folks. Been a while! I've been pretty busy but still keeping up with news on the candidates as much as possible.

Debate #3's deadlines is coming up and it looks like so far the people who are in are:
Biden, Bernie, Warren, Harris, Buttigieg, O'Rourke, Booker, Yang, and Klobuchar.

Despite meeting the donor requirement for the debate, it seems like a lot of candidates are failing to meet the poll requirement. Well, the "certified" poll requirement. Notable examples include Castro and Gabbard. With less than 10 days until closing, we may not see them on the debate stage.

Speaking of polling, polls have been really, really erratic. I think at this point they are not too indicative of what will happen in February although I do think that they show a few things: A rise in Warren's support and a drop in Harris/Buttigieg's support.
Everything else seems to be fluctuating but this is the one thing I've seen in a large percent of the polls. Warren seems to have a firm hold on white, educated voters and I think she took some of those votes away from Harris and Buttigieg.
After her spark in debate 1, it looks like Harris's support has dwindled after debate 2. I think Tulsi is partially to thank for this.
Biden, although only slowly losing some momentum in polls, still seems to be doing fine despite everyone ganging up on him in debate night 2.
Interestingly enough, however, his donations are definitely petering out and recently I heard that 60% of his donations came in the first week of him announcing his campaign. I think people just... aren't excited about him. He's the "safe" candidate and associated with Obama but really nothing more.
I think Bernie right now has the most excitement around him and that really reflects in his over 800k donations, which seem to be continually growing. I think even though mainstream media is downplaying/smearing him, he will bring out numbers when it matters. I think this is especially true when you consider polls that are "certified" by the DNC are only conducted via phone call and that definitely favors older voters. Bernie's base is a lot younger and so if they show up, will hit a lot harder than polls suggest.
Despite Warren gaining traction, she's shown in polls to have trouble vs. Trump, and with "electability" being the big thing democrats are worried about, I wonder how that'll affect her.
Regardless, the three frontrunners now I think are Biden, Bernie, and Warren. Thankfully Harris has dropped down and will hopefully stay down.
And when it comes down to it, I think each candidate presents a different theory of political change here:
Biden's return to normalcy, "nothing will fundamentally change"
Warren's working within existing systems to enact change
Bernie's grassroots revolution to work from the outside to change things completely
Let's see how things go in the upcoming months.

Anyways, that's just my thoughts and observations for now. As time goes on and less people enter the debates, the field will soon start dwindling I think. So my question to everyone is who do you think should drop out and who do you think should stay in?

Also..
Which trends have you observed? Are there any changes you've noticed that you'd like to bring up? Are there any issues you want to see talked about more?

Feel free to discuss any other thing you find relevant or interesting as well.

EDIT
Update #2: Jay Inslee and Seth Moulton have also dropped out of the race. I will update the first post accordingly.

Anyway, one national Emerson poll had Bernie and warren tied for first, while Biden had dropped to 3rd by a hair. Harris is 4th. Pete is 5th. Tulsi really wrecked Harris campaign it seems. And the progressives are gaining traction. I think warren is going to win this thing, though.

Also, seems like UK is doing brexit. Johnson suspended congress via the queen. Finally, national sovereignty is starting to sweep across the world. Globalism is dying. As it should. Nations ought to be sovereign in so much they don’t threaten the global peace.

I think this is really Biden's race to lose. His support is a mile wide and an inch deep. Over half of his campaign contributions were within the first week of him announcing his candidacy so it was kinda like a name recognition thing but the more he speaks the more he showcases just how bad of a choice he'd be. I mean, Biden, Sanders, and Warren are all in their 70s but while the other two are still very dynamic and energetic he is really showcasing the whole "sleepy Joe" thing. Not to mention he makes a gaffe practically every time he speaks, sometimes sounds incomprehensible, and didn't even know he was in New Hampshire at an event (he thought he was in Vermont). On top of this Obama even told him "you don't have to do this" and hasn't endorsed him, his wife even admitted he wasn't great on the issues, and his campaign staff wants to limit his events even when he is already doing HALF the events that Bernie and Warren are doing. He needs to face the facts and just drop out, it's kinda sad at this point. I think a lot of people feel pity looking at him cuz he is sundowning. That is not someone who should be running for president.
But yeah Tulsi wrecked Harris and I'm so glad she did. Good riddance. Harris is showcasing some Hillary level flip-flopping.
Warren's voter base right now seems to be educated middle class/affluent whites. Bernie's is the diverse working class. I think the winner between the two will be the one who can consolidate Biden's base of support.

I wanted Tulsi :<
Fear not, she will most likely be in the 4th debates at least. At the moment she has a lot of grassroots support but not a lot of polling or at least "DNC certified polling" is on her side. Over 160,000 donors is a really good number and I think it's over half of what Biden has last I checked. I wouldn't count her out just yet. At the very least she will continue bringing her unique perspective of opposing regime change wars to the table at least one more time, and hopefully help expose another phony in the process like she did with Harris.

That is such an accurate way of putting it. “Mile wide, but only an inch deep”. It means he may have a lot of “support”, but lacks loyal support.

And you’re right. The more he does talk, the more people lose interest. The only appeal he has is that he is best to beat trump, and people are starting to question that notion. If he loses that aura of “ I’m most electable”, his election hopes will greatly suffer if he continues as is.

Woah.... I just finished reading the rest of your reply. My goodness.... you’re more assertive then you used to be. Saying you feel pity for Biden and he should drop out and slamming Harris? Lol. It seems you have taken my advice and ingrained yourself into the progressive community to see what they are truly about and you have liked what you saw....fair enough. As long you keep your honest objectivity and don’t become insufferably bias, we will still get along. Or maybe... you just don’t like Harris and Biden. Either way, cool.

To reply to the rest, I agree and understand your thoughts on sleepy joe. The only dissagreement I have is that he should drop-out. He's still leading in most polls and a huge number of democrats and other want him because they think he can beat trump. And besides, he may be able to turn it around. It's just a little close sighted to say he should drop out because you, you has been closely following the race unline others, have grown dissatified with him. Get my gist?

warrens base represent more of coastal people (primarily that of new england) and with support in suburbs. It's not just limited to the "educated/middle class". middle class democrats are probaly going more towards joe.
Bernie base is largely working class democrats of all kinds (that's the dangerous thing about bernie....his message is able to reach people even in the heartland red states). I agree.

I was never a fan of tulsi...always thought she was a snake. Her cbs interview confirmed it. She said she would blindly support any democrat if she were not the nomniee....that's pathetic. And if she'd say that. All of the dems would say that. So this nonsense they are all "bi partisan" is deceptive hogwash. They are all partisan. I always knew and figured that....but this is message to the more less perceptive trump supporter. DONT TRUST ANY OF THEM!

Haha, well I have been closely following all the candidates and while I don't agree with everything they all say I can at least respect those who have convictions that they stand by. Harris is unfortunately someone who has been deeply disappointing in that she has flip flopped so much in the past few months on her positions and her proposals, and she hasn't defended herself against valid criticisms brought up by Tulsi and instead resorted to smear tactics and derailment. Someone who lacks integrity on such an obvious level should not be running for president, especially when the gist of what I'm seeing in her support boils down to support based on identity rather than record/policy. Now that I have a good sense of all the major, and even most of the non major candidates, there are some that I really don't like based on their actions and what they've done. I still don't have a clear front runner for first and we will have to see other proposals they release going on which seems to be something more candidates are doing now.
The thing with Biden is that the trends show decreased support and the decisions being made/how he is presenting himself show some sort of incapacity (health related?) to do the job properly. Running for president is a monumental and stressful task and I think he should drop out because it looks like realistically, despite the support he has (which is dwindling), I think he should retire or focus on efforts that are a little less stressful. He appears to be unhealthy.... Also I really doubt his ability to serve 2 terms (which should be the hope of a presidential candidate) or even a full 4 years in office. I've heard some claims about Trump and his mental state or Bernie and his age which I think are both kind of stretches of the imagination since they're both dynamos compared to Joe and carry themselves in a way that is able to rile up their base.
Interestingly enough in some of the polls I looked at like the HarrisX poll, Biden's biggest support seems to come from working class/middle class voters who are older and a lot of black voters too. And his voter's number 2 choice seems to be Bernie. I'm not sure if it's because of name recognition but because of what his coalition is, it doesn't seem out of place. I find it interesting that Warren and Bernie's support pools are fairly different considering many people see them as pretty similar. There's a lot to say about why this might be and I think it will be something big to look at as the two go head to head if Biden keeps dropping.
Also in other news Yang is reported in several polls now to have more support than Buttigieg. It looks like Buttigieg support has really dropped down as of late. The big question now is will Yang be able to jump above Harris and approach the other top tier candidates? He brings something very different to the table not only being a businessman who isn't a career politician but also with his unique proposals.

Understood. I have never had a worry about slimmy neo liberals, because they are baraque chicken for trump. But I do truly understand your displeasure with them. I don't like RINOS either. They are the rights version of neo libs.

I do agree if that's the reason you want biden to drop out. And for that, I actually agree. He's old and tired, he should rest and focus on other stuff. I guess he can't sleep well knowing if trump wins 2020, he'll blame it on himself since he thought he could have won 2016. So that's why he runs.

I do actually see the conerns for trump and sanders concern. Bernie would be the oldest president ever.... not to mention the fact he an estaunched leftist...and leftist beleifs/ideals age a person faster. And trump on twitter...says thing that can be hard to understand. Both are extremly cabable though. I just wish the president could stop tweeting so MUCH!

bernie and biden represent the similair social bases. Which for general populaces, means more then economics early on in elections. They both represent this idea of "hard work/ common struggle / tough". Warren is not like that, even if her vision is close with bernies. So thats why you see that.

pete is going to rise..just give it time. He has a good on camera appeal, that'll do wonders for him once the public really starts paying attention. The only thing that really hurts him is his age. He's a millenial that tries to act like an kennedy. Plus he's gay which might affect how old dems view him...but his personaillity and image vibes with them.

Yang may/may not rise. It's not his polcies that are the problem, it's the way he markets himself. Calling yourself "yang/gang" and trying to portray yourself as a libertarian technocrat is....not going to be paletable to genral public IN PRIMARIES. People will think of him and his base as juvenile people. Now could he do well in a general election against trump? Defintly. But, he has to get there and that's going to be his problem. Apart from having detailed polcies that may align ideologically with your party is understanding who your party is. And I don't think yang would vibe with the demcrats...not yet.
If yang was socially centrist/conservative and he ran as a rebulican/ indepdent - he would do wonders! If he was a rebulican with socially centrist/conservative views but had his technocratic economic polcies?...he'd gurantee himself as a frontrunner for the GoP in 2024. FACTS! And he would DEMOLISH any democrat in a general! It wouldn't be a contenst. If yang represented this new rebulican party, i'd sign up and be a registered rebulican ASAP. The reason I'm a strong trump supporter but dont cosnider myself GoP is because they are cultrually adverse to me. To white southern culture. I'm not white american, nor am I southern. So I do respect and admire their beleifs in order, free markets, religon and conservatism... they are not my culture or people.

But it is what it is.

The dnc debate was pretty mundane. None really blossomed. Here are my thoughts on all them.

Biden - had the strongest showing. He was fierce and a fighter. Though he still did have his gaffes. He was solid. I expect him to gain a little in polling.

Warren - was pretty much mouse. Didn’t say much nor did she attack Biden or anyone.

Sanders - did about typical bernie standards. Would have done better had he not been sick. Liked him and Biden back and forth. Though Bernie and Biden duking it out only makes warren stronger.

Kamala harris - lol. I want her to win because she’d be bareque chicken for trump. She’s more unlikable then Hillary nor has she achieved anything near the level of Hillary.
democrats, NOMINATE KAMALA NOW. Or else YOURE RACIST. How can you champion minorties and then pick a white person over a”qualified” strong “POC” woman? Democrats are racist hypocrites if they don’t elect kamala. NOMINATE KAMALA NOW. Lol.

But back to topic. Her performance was just “anti trump”. Democrats are smarter then that. I expect her polling to stay the same if not worsen.

Pete Buttigieg- probably did the 2nd best or even best. As I always said...not worried about Pete polling. He’s good on camera which will serve him well. Plus his policy were grounded. I expect him to rise. Maybe too 4th. I’d love to see Pete Buttigieg as VP nominee. Him Vs pence would be must see TV for Christians and lesser extent all religious people. It would literally be Liberal Christian vs conservative Christian. Albeit this squabble should be beneath the Church of Jesus.... it would enabally divide some churches.

Yang - irrelevant as usual on debates. But his online base is still as toxic and annoying as ever on the web. Happy they don’t come to these neck of the woods, they’d get obliterated in debate by me.
I expect his polling to stay constant.

Booker - he shined well, too. His positivity and optimism will endear him with many. Plus he seems to have track record too. I think he’ll climb.

Orourke - Beto. Did well as well. Focused on his strengths and was applauded so. And his take away ar15 etc was good for that field. He stood out and will definitely surge in the polls again. He’d be nuclearly bad in general with his stance on 2nd amendments... but for primary. He will surge.

Amy klobuchar - pretty irrelevant. She’s just there to see if she can siphone any of Biden’s base. Though she does have her niche of supporters. She didn’t do bad, just not anything that good. She’ll stay the same.

Castro - he did well but was annoying to many. All of the anti Biden voters already have alternatives and you aren’t it. And the ones that support him probably like Biden. He’ll lose big time. He should just drop out... plus he killed his chance of even being a VP choice. Respect your elders, sir. He’ll probably drop out next.

Winners:
Biden
Booker
Pete
Beto

Neutrals:
Warren
Bernie
Yang
Klobuchar

Losers:
Harris
Castro

All in all. Pretty boring. Trump and company are not concerned

eDIT: Oh my gosh, I CAN'T STAND YANG SUPPORTERS! IF I SEE ONE COMMENT HERE, I'll rip their POLCIES and OPINIONS APART!

User was warned for this post: trolling
lol, I tuned in to see what's going on with the clown News Network also known as CNN. And they made an objective video about how Bernie support has stonewalled. It got a bunch of dislikes by bernie supporters for no reason other then spite. Lol. They literally do this evrytime... complaining CNN is "Corprate media" and is bias to billionares. Well Gee, if that's the case why do these bernie supporter always tune back in to watch CNN everytime...espcially when they produce Anti trump vids. Lol. Bernie supporters.... I just laugh at them. I can't wait for commie bernie to lose, CNN to give a video on it...and watch the salt from bernie supporters. LOOOL. CNN is trash, but I have little sympathy for bernie supporters. Those peple are thee worst politcal sup gorup in american politics (IMO) - and thankfully they never get anywhere.

These people will literally get black balled by media, complain about it. Then turn around and rejoice when trump and his supporters get blacked balled - and will spit in our face as well. I can't stand them. They are unapologetic cruel hypocrites and could give a dam. I would say much more ruthless things about them....but........ I can't....on this forum at least.

Just wanted to say that.

ANyway, have fun bernie supporters not being able to win your primary once again and be forced to vote for sleepy joe or Pocohontas. lol

You guys tried to copy trump by being an anti estbalishment who stormed in - beat the esbtliashment and won the presidency - Leading to the populist leader of the new reformed party unlike we haven't seen since like reagan. The differnce is, Trump did it in his first try. You guys couldn't even beat fricking hillary in the dam primary and 4 years later with more name recongization are still losing (YOU'RE NOT EVEN IN 2ND...LOOOOOOOL). This time to a Former vice president and a senator who literally copied most of what bernie wants and just remixed a little for more democrat estblaishment friendly folks.

Now I don't know about you...but that sounds like a lot of under achievement and LOSING. And what do you call people who lose? ......Hm.....I think I forgot. LOOOOOOOOOOOOL.

So what are everyone's thoughts on the Trump impeachment inquiry regarding presidential hopeful Joe Biden?

I'm personally leaning toward Elizabeth Warren so for me I don't really care if Biden acted inappropriately (even though it looks like he didn't). But I do think Trump has made it clear he doesn't think it's wrong to pressure other countries into helping him win reelection even if it's disguised as a national security probe. Obviously he went to the Ukrainian leadership with the election in mind and because it wasn't entirely secret he's now facing some serious if not impossible blowback...

Friendly reminder that the entire Ukrainian 'scandal' Trump is trying to make was that Biden had an attorney replaced for refusing to investigate Biden's son. That's the opposite of an inappropriate act.

I don't think anything it going to come from it, to be honest. Well, that's not quite what I mean. I think Pelosi is going to drag this out for the next year and I don't think a vote is ever going to be held because keeping it in the news cycle is arguably more important, except on the chance Trump wins the election and they'll vote on it the day after he's sworn in again.

He's since publicly asked China to do the same thing and he'll look the other way if they want to do something about the Hong Kong protests. After a few days of that not going anywhere, he announced that the US is going to leave Syria in the 'capable' hands of the Turkish military which, uh, probably tells us that Erdogan jumped at the chance to convince Trump he'd do it.

In other US election news, Bernie Sanders had a heart attack.

I’m happy that Bernie seems to have made a good recovery: though I think it will hurt his election. But maybe not. His polling has stonewalled.

This whole impeachment thing is a joke, honestly. The president didn’t do much wrong. I’m sure the Ukrainian call was always in the schedule book, but remembered about Biden and just brought it up to get to the bottom of it. Abuse of power my buttocks. Get over it. Though I don’t understand why trump be so worried of joe. I don’t think joe could beat him in a national election.

I don’t have a comment on the redraw. I hope he made the right descion. What will happen if turkey takes control of Kurdish lands? What is the ramifications? Can someone explain.

EDIT: Intro post was updated to reflect the current state of the race.

Hey folks, long time no see!
So, we have a long of things going on regarding 2020 and current news.
I'll start with my thoughts on impeachment:
What a mess.
So before we even discuss the impeachment itself, there's the obvious landscape that doesn't do this procedure any favors: Trump's approval rating within his own party is very high. I think it fluctuates between the 80s and 90s but clearly his party overall likes him. Secondly, the Senate is Republican. The majority required to get Trump out of office seems like it has a very slim chance of happening. And overall, the general American populace doesn't support impeachment. Since the announcement to now the favorability rose a bit, but I still believe it is a minority. So yeah, keep all this in mind.
So anyways, onto the impeachment itself- democrats have been flip flopping ever since Trump has been elected and appearing mega weak on "oh we're gonna impeach him on this, we're gonna impeach him on that-" and then not doing anything. Then the Mueller report happened and that was a plane crash for them. And now they finally decided to impeach Trump on what? A phone call. Well, let's look at that phone call:
Long story short Trump asked Ukraine to investigate Biden for corruption because of his and his son's involvement there. There was an implied (depends on how hard you read into it) "do this or else" but as far as I know it wasn't explicitly stated.
I want to make this clear: a (arguably implied but not explicitly stated) quid pro quo into an investigation of a political opponent is not a good look. Do I think the phone call was poorly handled and Trump did it for self gain? Yes. Do I think this is something worth impeaching him over? Definitely not. Impeachment is a VERY serious procedure that needs to be done in extreme circumstances, and this is not one of them.
And it gets more complicated- Biden's son Hunter with no experience on Ukrainian energy ended up making 50k a month on an energy board while Biden was vice president. It reeks of corruption. Honestly, it SHOULD be investigated. I don't think Trump is wrong in this regard.
Right now, democrats are basically saying "Yeah you can do all this bad stuff but when you call us out on our corruption- that's where we draw the line!" so the impeachment pretty much boils down to "Well OUR corruption is legal and fine, yours is not." It's honestly laughable. And even more- Trump got elected by saying he was going to "drain the swamp." Do I think he did that? No. But his supporters would definitely be behind him trying to investigate someone who is corrupt.
So in the end what I predict happening is Trump gets a slap on the wrist, nothing comes from this, and democrats humiliate themselves yet again a la Mueller Report expectations.
Even worse, democrats are deflecting any time someone mentions Hunter Biden's Ukraine situation. Biden just straight up won't talk about it and gets angry. Every interview I see with other democrats is "No we need to talk about Trump instead." It's very hypocritical. Even Elizabeth Warren, Mrs. "I'm Against Corruption" flopped when she was asked if she would allow a family member to go on a foreign board with no experience. She said she didn't know! Really?! Like jeez it's not a hard question! It should be a resounding "no!" People wanna talk about how bad it is that Ivanka is being inserted into political spheres she's not qualified for yet conveniently ignore Hunter Biden making 50k a month in an area he has no expertise in. BOTH are bad.

Best path forward would have been realizing that 2020 is right around the corner, that impeachment needn't be done, and instead putting energy into inspiring the nation and trying to build a movement for 2020 with ideals and good legislation and not wasting everything into impeachment. This is precisely why people are fed up with the democratic party.
One silver lining though, if Biden's numbers go down from this I'll be happy. I think he is a terrible choice for a nominee, he reeks of establishment corruption and "same ol same ol", he's out of touch with the base he will need/will fail to energize them, and Trump will eat him for breakfast, lunch and dinner if they go head to head.

Bernie's heart attack was sad news but I'm glad he is ok after everything. I think it might hurt him a little but not too much, he has a really strong base of support after all. His problem is he needs to draw in more people, but the people he already has are generally pretty loyal to him.

Warren looks like she's building the momentum to be the true frontrunner in this. She seems to be the "compromise" candidate of the centrists and the progressives and she's the big choice for white wealthy liberals who keep up w/ corporate news media (which explains a lot of the free press she's gotten recently imo). While I think she's better than Biden, I'm not sure about how trustworthy she is... She doesn't flip flop as much as Kamala but I don't know where her allegiances lie and I certainly don't know how she'd handle the role of commander in chief as she seems to be focused pretty much on domestic policy only and sometimes trade.

Anyways, Debate 4 is right around the corner. It will be a big make or break moment for some of the people just struggling to hold on. Also, Tulsi's gonna be there so I'm excited to see who she decides to kneecap next. I think she might go after Warren but we'll see. I would also like to see some differentiations made between Bernie and Warren because I think people see them as pretty much the same which I think is a disservice to both of them, but moreso to Bernie.

Finally, on Syria- I'm not sure what to think yet because that situation is very complicated. On the surface I like withdrawal from Syria by the US but there's also repercussions because of withdrawing that I need to look into. The best thing would have been us just never being there in the first place but because we got involved, withdrawing complicates things. So right now, no support for the decision to withdraw until I get a clearer picture of the situation and repercussions.

Very well said. I agree with most of this. The democrats are doomed in 2020. Sleepy joe is hardcore boring establishment. Pocohontas is too weak. Bernie is too crazy and radical. No one is going to vote socialist in a booming economy.
And their impeachment is a farce. It’s so political. They will be voted out of the house. Can’t wait. Their demise is eminent.

Tulsi really wrecked Kamala campaign. But kamala brought in herself. She has no standout policies which is what is killing her. Nothing unique.

Agree on Syria. Don’t really have a comment. I do know is that liberal are now for war intervention since trump did the opposite.
(I want to call liberals (leftist/modern liberals) something right now but some of these mods have been very gracious with the strikes on my accounts (like taking them off) so I don’t want to force their hand.... and on the opposite token... there seem to be some mods who don’t like what I say on here and are waiting to strike up any comment I make or pressure other mods to strike up my account... as well as the user who are preying on my comment ready to report it. So I will relent)
I hope turkey doesn’t do anything stupid with the Kurds. But great analysis. Polls have been stagnant. Biden has been stagnant and dropping while warren is still slowly surging. Everyone else is the same bar kamala who’s dropping. It’s sad. She’s such a mediocre candidate that I wish she won so trump can win 2020 easily.

I agree with you on Biden. Warren might be strong in some areas like "having a plan for that" or whatever but in the few instances she's been challenged she seems to clam up, so I don't think she would do well head to head vs Trump.
I think Bernie already in a way got a victory by shifting the conversation in his favor when it comes to the policies being proposed. It would be really interesting to see Bernie v Trump in 2020 because they both represent kinda two sides of the same coin- political outsiders who aren't the "Same old same old" and have a really loyal populist base of people who truly think they are being heard. To some, Bernie might seem crazy but his ideas resonate with a lot of people who aren't doing well even when the standard economy markers like unemployment and GOP are up. I mean, and the same can be said about Trump, a lot of people say he's crazy of mentally declining or whatever but he has a lot of support. Put the two against each other honestly, that'll really represent the movement of the nation's politics away from the same ol same ol and into this new era.

The response I've seen on Syria has been really varied. I think there are a lot of liberals who subscribe to "Well if Trump does it I hate it" so the argument of "no we should stay in Syria" has popped up, but leftists I've seen a lot of discussion with more nuances. And then the same thing with conservatives. I think old school conservatives are really liking this due to their general anti-intervention stance but a lot of neocons are reeling and don't want out of Syria. Some Republicans are like "Trump did it, so it must be good" without thinking twice and then there's the minority who hate Trump so probably dislike the decision.

The best thing moving forward is to just try and learn the most about the decision and the repercussions and what it means and analyze from there. I think more analysis will come out as time passes but hopefully it isn't one-sided... Although I think it will be, at least from major news outlets.

I can understand why you feel that about bernie. And I find it cool to imagine too. Two outside populaist leader facing head to head representing to oppsite ends of the spectrum that don't like estbalishment and want to reform their parties. Obvoisly one has had far better sucess at doing so by winning the presidency in her first try, while the other couldn't even win the primary against the oppent who'd go to lose against the same other populist leader. And now he's trying again but once again losing and can't even get into top 2 even though candiates are using the platforms he borught to life...... OUCH. But that's either here nor there.
And that's what I think when I try to like progressives and his supporters. But anytime I try to build an alliance...I'm spit on. My president is called horrible names. I'm hypcortically called an indoctrinated fool or whatever. And the thing that ANNOYS THE MOST....these people will then head over to some NEO LIBERAL new orgnaizations and give them the thumbs up when they have an anti trump segment. Like you wonder why I have the most harshes venom against progressivess. These people support neo liberal organizations....comedian host....just as much as stanrd democrat estbalishment liberals. The only differnce is when bernie sanders comes on and gets a bad rap...then they cry foul. But then tune back in with happy ears when an anti trump videos comes. And then I look at actual progressive media, and they barley get any views and traffic. The hypocrisy of progressive people that I see....it's unbelivable. Like neo liberals....I don't care about them that much (they are annoying too, don't get it twisted) but you know what you're going to get with with a Neo liberal. They are going to be storng democrat esbtliahsment supporting.....strongly anti trump. And that's it. But progressives...they are a beautufil bunch of people.
but anyway....

I agree 100% with this sentiment. I've seen some liberals quietly and regretaably say they agree. I've see ones just dissagree with it even if they like someone like tulsi because trump did it. And I do understnad why conservative may not like it. You have to remeber, trump has a lot of bush supporters too. And though they have adjust and supported the new GoP and trump....they still have bush tendacies. Globalist minded foreign intervention heavy so they get more oil and flex their millitary might as well as feeding industrial millitary complex. So you just have to bar with it. They are who they are but we are thankful for their support. I don't know much. But hopefully things go well. Trump did say he'll hurt their economy if they do something extremly inhumane to the kurds so it's not total abandoment. We will see.

Trump is probably gonna win again.

I wish John McAfee or Vermin Supreme had a chance, but not anytime soon.

I don't what the heck you were talking about in the 2nd line. But the first line looks 100% accurate.

Depending on the poll you read it's possible that more than 50% of America wants Trump impeached.

See its not just a phone call. The Russians interfered with the 2016 election basically tanking Hillary. And now Trump has literally gone and publicly admitted he went to Ukraine, a former Russian entity to do it again And China too? He doesn't care that it's illegal to use your power as president to coerce other nations into helping win reelection. Add to this he's ordered key witnesses to not cooperate with the house investigation... Basically openly obstructing justice all on the basis that he believes Presidents are above the law... Bill Clinton got impeachment because he lied before Congress regarding his relationship with Lewinsky. All it was tho was an affair. Meanwhile Trump is committing heinous abuses of his role as president and his followers think it's okay.

Commendedzuez09 Commendedzuez09 Libertarians are really under represented in congress.

Relax sucumbio. Trump had nothing to do with russian interference and getting to the bottom of corruption is interference? how about Obama spying on trump? seeing if theres any dirt on his cmapaign. There's no abuse of power. As a matter of fact, I wish trump could have greater exectuive power to deal with these insolent TDS poltcians and people. They are an DISGRACE!

So I spent a lot of today looking into the withdrawal from Syria. After looking into it, I think it was a good decision and although there are complications in the region that will arise (this would have been complicated regardless of whether we stayed or withdrew), there are things that could be done in the future to prevent more engagement and hopefully move the direction to less interference overall in the region.

while the other couldn't even win the primary against the oppent who'd go to lose against the same other populist leader. And now he's trying again but once again losing and can't even get into top 2 even though candiates are using the platforms he borught to life...... OUCH. But that's either here nor there.
Not to say that all Americans are on board with Bernie, but I think Bernie did a lot worse than he could have because of the organized efforts by Clinton surrogates like Debbie Wassserman Shultz who conspired against Bernie to ensure Hillary won the election by any means possible. When taken to court over this they even pretty much admitted it but claimed that it was okay for them to do it. Bernie also has a lot of the hatred from the media class, which is a big influencer in elections in this country. Without those things, maybe he would have won. Or maybe he wouldn't have. I'm not sure, but seeing it unfold again is really annoying. I can't count how many times I've seen mainstream media say "Bernie in decline" or "Bernie campaign finished?!" or things like that when the Q3 fundraising numbers showed him not only at the top of the pack with total money raised, but at the top of the pack with number of contributors too. Nothing from the media about that though pretty much.
And like again, whether people like Bernie or not, I think this illustrates a much bigger problem with the democratic party and their corruption and how they block people from having power in their elections. They like to choose who their "anointed" candidate is and just shove em down people's throats. It's very annoying. So much for the party of the people.

But anytime I try to build an alliance...I'm spit on. My president is called horrible names. I'm hypcortically called an indoctrinated fool or whatever.
It's very unfortunate but these things happen. There's a lot of frustration in this country because the political situation seems so hopeless and honestly it's easy to get carried away when talking politics. But hopefully you find people who you respect and they will respect you, even if you disagree, I'm sure you will find some common ground. I mean hey, I know this is a smash bros internet board but we're talking right now- and we don't agree on everything but we can still have a conversation, y'know? A lot of the time if you model that behavior and approach people with a place of understanding, I find things generally go well. I know you had a different experience but I hope that changes for you.
The truth is, people will see progressives as crazy socialists who want to destroy every last piece of American democracy. And people will see Trump supporters as racists who want to kick everyone out of the country who they dislike. And while maybe if you search hard enough you mind find people who are stereotypically like that, when you engage and speak with people they all have their different reasons for supporting what they support and believing how they believe. That's why I always try to avoid labels when describing myself and just talk about what I believe when it comes to each individual issue. And I try my best to analyze others on an issue-by-issue basis instead of "you're republican? you're democrat? bad" etc.

Ah ok, when I was looking it was under 50%, but it seems the sentiment has been rising. Still ,impeachment is something pretty serious so I'm skeptical of the whole thing really especially this late in his presidency.

Also the thing with the impeachment process is that Pelosi chose to focus on his interaction with Ukraine. That's their grounds on which to impeach him. So anything else mentioned isn't really relevant, because they're not impeaching him under those grounds, unless they changed what they said before and I'm unaware?
Also is there evidence of the Russia claims? Didn't the democrats all wait for the Mueller report to reveal everything about Russia and it was a dud?

The Mueller investigation was not able to directly link Trump to the interference. It did however reveal that interference took place. That's the key really... Not that Trump orchestrated it, but that it happened. So for him to then go and actually instigate a foreign body to dig up dirt on Hunter / Joe not only looks bad it just further resonates with the idea that foreign countries are playing a role in our election process. And to add insult to injury he also asked China to do the same (which thankfully they declined).

The issue here is also one involving Congress. They'd appropriated millions in foreign aid for Ukraine which Trump then seems to have withheld pending Ukrainian cooperation. Of course both Trump and Ukraine deny this is the case, that's it's just coincidence...

Late stage impeachment isn't necessarily suspicious, it's just taken Trump 3 years to **** up in a way that's actionable.

I will say this though...the parody of the phone call was inappropriate. Impeachment IS serious and playing down to Trump's level by goading him was a poor choice which imo should bar Adam Schiff from further taking part in this process. I also agree with Trump's notion that Pelosi should have put this to a full House vote. Just because a majority of House delegates wish to hold this inquiry it wreaks of being illegitimate which is what the GOP is pushing for.

However if it DOES get a vote then that means everyone has to go on record as for or against and the few Republicans who have sided with Pelosi are afraid that could spell doom for their own careers.

I believe Trump will resign if the House passes a vote to hold an impeachment trial. He's a narcissistic man who would rather step down than have his dirty laundry aired for America to judge. But at the moment he's really compounding the problems against him by ordering top officials in his administration to not cooperate with the inquiry. Time and again he's proven he does not believe in the system of checks and balances our constitution requires. I understand getting an agenda to move forward is hard. But that's on purpose! It's to prevent one person from running the country into the ground.

Lol. Trump reisgning because of an ridiculous impeachment directed by corrupt do nothing hypocritical establishment dems? Hah! Sucumbio, you’re watching way too much msNPC and the clown news network. What’s going to happen is trump will probably get impeached and will fail to get removed in the senate. Democrats will lose 2020 and lose seats in the house (hopefully lose it entirely... but I ain’t holding my breathe).
But no matter how many embarrassing and disappointing losses democrats take - they always come back. Can’t these people just quit and submit? I also feel like a lot of them have taking the joker pill and just don’t give a dam anymore. They are just satisfied being a nuisance and a thorn in the a$. I’m talking about the supporters, not the actual establishment. They actually care. And they will pay dearly for their insolence.

And you’re impeaching someone because what they did doesent look good and makes you squeamish? Seriously sucumbio? That’s why you want someone thrown out of office? Stop sullying the seriousness of impeachment. And we should change impeachment proceedings to where you need 60% of house vote to impeach. Because this is just too political. Democrats have majority so they just find anything to impeach him for and do it. That’s a shame on a system that allows it. Any rebulicans who dare go along with such stupidity are weak traitors and should be voted out of office. Rather have a small kingdom of loyal members then a large empire full of snakes and rats embedded with it.

It doesn't just LOOK bad, though. It IS bad. You really can't go to foreign countries and ask them for quid pro quo to help you win reelection. That's basically saying "I can't win without help from foreign leaders." That's literally placing our future in their hands! I'm not Ukrainian. I don't want them influencing how our country runs. If I did I'd move to Ukraine!

https://news.google.com/articles/CA...vIaCCzDnxf4CMP2F8gU?hl=en-US&gl=US&ceid=US:en

Now it'd be totally different if Congress had made the inquiry. Perfectly fine actually. That's one of the Senate oversight committee's sworn duties! But NOT the president's. And certainly not regarding his top reelection opponent (which at the time was Joe even though now Warren is pulling ahead). It's exactly why there was a CIA whistle blower. Remember this isn't some witch hunt that Dems dreamed up. It was a member of the intelligence community - high up the ladder, really - who came forward and so the House is just following suit as would be their job! Not to mention there's now more than one whistle blower. This isn't some misstep or... Heh trumped up charge. This is a serious violation of protocol, and is basically the proof that people have been turning a blind eye to all this time. Trump is a pos and has no qualms flaunting his station as leader of the free world. And it's gonna bite him.

You honestly don't think he'll resign? Nixon resigned. And not because he was directly involved with Watergate but simply because he knew if he went to trial he'd be found guilty of trying to help cover it up. A president HAS to be squeaky clean in all manners of his/her life. We never got Trump's tax returns (never will methinks). He's just not going to let the spotlight reveal his true self. But if he doesn't resign or go to trial I'm almost positive he won't win reelection. His best chance now is to cooperate fully, show a little backbone, some respect for the system, play along, and let the truth be the judge.

Look at this stupidity I presume leftist "protesters" are doing. Imagine choosing a candiate supported by these type of people? Lol.
Those people are a disgrace to themselves, the party whom they support and their ideology.
Instead of doing what men or women of honor would do which is to sit queitly - make the best out of a presdeincy - then if unsatisfied you vote them out in the next election. These losers go and protest a cermonial rally of their nation's leader and act like barbaric monkeys. Forcing the state to waist money which could be help for infastrcture, WELFARE (The type of thing they claim to so "champion" because they are "good people". Nonsense, a lot of them just want that stuff so they can enrich themselves to the dertriment of more dilligent people all while feeling good about it. And they use the actual poor and needy as pawns), schools, economic assitance etc.
But these people's movement like usual end up a failure.
I guess Unfulfilling mediocrity is a lot of these people's destiny.
A shame the state can't suppress such evil rebellion.... though allowing them to embarrass themselves to the eyes of the people do have its merits.

Trump and Trump alone betrayed our allies, the Kurds lost thousands of people fighting on our behalf and we didn't lose anyone in Syria. Trump betrayed them. They died for us and we stabbed them in the back. Such betrayal willl haunt us for years, decades to come...We don't deserve the Kurds help, we as Americans should feel ashamed.

Trump has shown the world he is not fit to be president, it has been nothing but blunder after blunder with this man. Whoever wins the next election has a lot of cleaning to do. Because Trump has left a stain on this country's honor.

They took the blunt of the fighting, the Kurds lost over 11,000 people in the fight against ISIS in Syria. The US didn't take a single death.

Trump lied when he said he was pulling Troops out of the Middle East. Because he sent Troops to Saudi Arabia, completely going back on his campaign promise. He sold out the Kurds because the Saudis pay more, he turned our military into a mercenary force.

The Kurds have been strategic allies of the United States for a long time.

https://www.npr.org/2019/10/10/769044811/a-look-at-the-history-of-the-u-s-alliance-with-the-kurds

While the US economy has been strong it is definitely not "the best it's ever been" as he told the UN General Assembly a few months ago.

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.fo...k-of-competition-gums-up-the-u-s-economy/amp/

And no, he's divided the country along the lines of prejudice. It's minorities vs whites. Citizens vs Immigrants.

https://www.brookings.edu/book/divided-politics-divided-nation/ (good book)

Our military is and always has been great for which Trump can't take credit and to which the Pentagon has been ill prepared to deal with his inexperienced decisions.

https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.theatlantic.com/amp/article/598360/

All in all I'd say he's basically taking credit for the lucky advantages the Obama administration set him up for. His corporate tax breaks made wall street happy but at the cost of wage stagnation (most working class Americans have less income to spend on more expenses). He has not been able to reign in Iran, Russia or North Korea. He's created a total cluster at the southern border. His Make America Great attitude has empowered millions of racists and bigots to come out of the woodwork leading to all kinds of violence. His pullback from Syria has opened the door to let ISIS return stronger than before. I think there's no redeeming avenues of praise for Trump. China, a messy trade war that's INCREASING prices for Americans. It is going to be a tough job for whoever takes over when he's gone be it in 2020 or God forbid 2024. If we go that long under his boot, I shudder to think about it.

There's no trolling here. Only speaking facts....okay there maybe a little trolling. lol.
I laugh because I can't take you neo libs/modern liberals/democrats, seriously. You guys need to WAKE UP. Get out of your fake news propaganda machine. The libral media is controlled by the deep state and they are maniuplating you.

Didn't he do that to protect our oil supplies?

Of ocurse it's going to slow down in growth rate. lol. We are so high and record breaking.

It's because of you obstructionist and obstinant dems. Don't worry though, we are working hard to throw you people out of congress - as well as the useless rhinos. Once we do that, you'll get your camapign promise. Plus with the room he has to work with, he has been building new wall or renovating plus he's curbed illegal immigration to an all time low.

Some random anti trumper author who's like "Well..erm...we don't know....Maybe.....Derp......" from may of 2019. I have an offcial white house graph made a week ago.

Beat that, woman.

Sucumbio Sucumbio How far you've fallen. You've taken that blue pill and now you're gone. You're over 40 years old with a wife and you've been duped by the fake news. A shame.
Before you used to be a rhino, now youve just turned into an atni trump neo lib. And you really need to get out the democrat minorty victim complexes. They use that to ensalve you. I'm an ethnic minority myself, JOIN US. Become indepdent. Think about your own country and how you'd feel if your own people were selling off your sacred culture, soverignty and hereitage away to get the gloablist checks. Many minorties support trump... from latino, to africans, to indians to europeans....maybe even asians support trump.
Democrats ARE A DISGRACE. If minorties were to walk away and become indepdent..the dems would collaspe and show their true colors of being just as racoist and detestabble as the overtly racist or they'll kneel before us and we indepdent ethnics will now dictatate and rule the democrat party in our vision. If the dems truly cared about minorties - THEY NOMINATE KAMALA NOW. But they don't...and the 3 leading candiates are .....White. They just use minorties as tokens. As much as find the yanggang irritating, they also silence him and tulsi. Minorties. And Asians specially get shafted by the dems.

When did the kurds "fight on our behalf"?

https://www.rudaw.net/english/kurdistan/13102019

World War 2. They just didn’t have a country then so they couldn’t fight as one.

Getting us into no wars

How about a trade war with China that’s hurting American consumers the most?

https://www.foxbusiness.com/personal-finance/how-much-will-the-us-china-trade-war-cost-you

producing the greatest economy is history

This is just flat out wrong.

https://www.forbes.com/sites/yuwahedrickwong/2019/07/19/cheap-credit-and-lack-of-competition-gums-up-the-u-s-economy/#246302e650c7

Also, he was handed an economy on the rise thanks to Obama. We likely won’t see the effects of Trump’s policies on the economy fully for another few years at least. The economy is a large ship that takes a long time to steer. Furthermore, this also depends on how you define “economy”. If by “economy” you mean the value of stocks and how the rich people in America are doing, then yeah it’s doing great (definitely not the greatest in history but yeah pretty good and again mostly thanks to Obama). But if by “economy” you mean the size of the middle class and the debt to income ratio of most Americans then it is in a horrible place.

drug prices down

Wrong.

https://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/2019/may/22/donald-trump/fact-checking-donald-trumps-claim-drug-prices-are-/

Lowest unemployment

Sure. But I’d argue it’s more important that people are actually earning a living wage. If there’s more people working minimum wage jobs but they still can’t make ends meet and are just increasing corporate profits and helping the CEO buy his 3rd yacht it doesn’t really matter.

Highest GDP

Sure but this isn’t translating into a better standard of living for everyday people.

Strongest military

This is true, but this has been true since WW2 and Trump for all his bluster is actually WEAKENING the military because he illegally siphoned off money from the military to try to pay for his wall when congress wouldn’t agree to such a stupid plan.

Renewed sense of country patriosm/nationalism

So you mean white nationalists committing mass murders? Got it.

Getting more people out to vote in a mid terms by far in history

LOL THIS IS CAUSE EVERYONE HATES HIM!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAH. So yes that’s good but buddy did you SEE what happened in 2018?? Those people who came out and voted did not like Trump.

median wage increase

This is very hard to accurately measure, see this article: https://www.factcheck.org/2019/06/are-wages-rising-or-flat/

Yes I concede that wages have risen on average in the last few years, but the cost of living VASTLY outpaces this. And I'm not sure exactly what Trump has done to specifically cause this anyway.

Great job growth

See my comment about lowest unemployment.

Criminal justice reform

If by “reform” you mean his “I’m the President so I can’t commit a crime” nonsense then yeah I guess so. Actually curious what you’re referring to with this comment.

Not really sure what the point of that CNN video is. I mean yeah people at news organizations, especially ones that cover politics, are going to have opinions. If they didn’t that’d be super weird. I get that it’s trying to say that CNN is biased but I’ve seen a steady stream of neutral and pro-trump articles on there so it’s really just about what you want to believe. It must be nice to be a Trump supporter because if there’s anything you don’t like you can just scream fake news and go back into your bubble without having to do any research or critical thinking.

“A shame the state can’t suppress such evil rebellion”

Do you even hear yourself?? This is the kind of stuff that authoritarian regimes do, stuff that is actively happening in Hong Kong right now! I’ll quote the first amendment here for reference:

“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.”

The last line there specifically deals with protesting or “evil rebellion” as you would call it. Peaceful protest is the FIRST cornerstone of our country. If a democrat gets elected and you don’t like what they’re doing you have a constitutional right to protest against them just like Democrats are doing now. Obviously the condition here is “peaceful” which could be defined differently by different people. In my opinion this means not causing physical harm to people and/or property but I suppose this definition could be debated.

And lastly, in regard to the recent video that surfaced. It’s absolutely disgusting and promoting violence against anyone should be vehemently condemned. You should feel exactly the same about this as when Kathy Griffin held up Trump’s severed head. They both crossed a dangerous line.

Minorties. And Asians specially get shafted by the dems.
sucumbio, you just need to #WalkAway
I don't get it... Like all the articles I linked aren't written by democrats so huh? Forbes is definitely NOT a left leaning publication. I'm petty sure I didn't link the times or cnn either... So where is this idea coming from? Are you saying that if you aren't in agreement with Trump policy that you MUST be brainwashed because there's no other explanation? I'd like some clarification from you before I go further because most of your post was too busy trying to feel sorry for me instead of refuting any of the sources I listed. I really don't require your pity. As you said I'm over 40 and have lived through Reganomics, the Clinton Era, both Bush administrations and Obama. And I can honestly say my personal gains were best under Obama. He made sure that I had awesome Healthcare when I had no options. Regan years were awesome too. But only because I lived in a FIVE income family. My friends especially those with single parents struggled every day to make ends meet because living in America though full of freedoms and opportunities is also very expensive and America's middle class debt to income ratio is still severely lopsided.

But yeah let's not bother wasting time and energy on trying to save our souls and instead focus on the demonstrable track record that has been Trump's legacy. I made my case, let's have yours.

Ok on Syria, I think that the right move would've been withdrawing entirely and not just from the Northern region and moving our troops. The troops should have been sent home.

Problem is there's now a power vacuum with everyone ready to go to war there especially Russia now eyeing the area.

This whole thing played out wrong. Trump spoke to Erdogan and obviously Turkey said in that call hey we're fixin to invade Syria so you may wanna get out of harm's way and Trump actually listened!

It's great that the two nations are still talking but it's too late now the damage is done. Even if Congress finds some way to overrule his withdrawal orders which I doubt will happen, several strategic areas are now in enemy hands with thousands of ISIS prisoners freed and ready to get back into hurting the US. And in typical fashion Trump is backtracking his ill fated decision by levying sanctions on Turkey which Erdogan has proved time and again doesn't even phase him. At this point we basically have to let the Russians and EU take care of the mess which is bad because yes in the short term our troops will have hopefully evacuated safely but will now be faced with an entrenched enemy. Essentially whatever sacrifice was made by US troops and Kurds in the past has been nullified and for no good reason.
