I actually think that it's not gonna happen. but if it does. I wouldn't be surprised.

I'd be very surprised by the world suddenly ending for no apparent reason.

I'd also be surprised by a doomsday prediction actually coming through.

It would suck if it actually happened though, think of all the 3d movies you'd be missing out on.

But... Humanity is way older than that. Apparently, apocalypse is not so dangerous after all.

Btw "mass extinction" is characterized by the extinction of most of the species in the world. The last one happened roughly 65 million years ago.

Yes, this has been also been given as a possible cause. The problem with that is, that doesn't happen within a year.
It's the solar system moving a bit out of the galaxy's magnetic, protective field and being bombarded by lethal radiation, which happens every now and then. This has a sinus-shape of happening, if you can imagine what I mean. If you consider that, you can reason that we would be in that period without protection for quite a while and we'd had long seen the effects, if that were to happen in 2012.

Also, more recent studies have failed to find the correlation between mass extinction and this event.

I think the mostly likely cause of an extinction event would be the mass methane leaks off the Russian coast

But yeah, I call BS on the whole world ending thing. As if the past 10 apocalypse threats aren't enough for me, I don't really see any point in taking stock in that theory even if the world is ending. Either you'll literally live like there's no tomorrow and be screwed if there is one, or you'll just actually appreciate life, and if you're not already living to take advantage of what you have, you're doing it wrong anyway.

75% percent of stuff that talks about the event of 2012 actually suggests something good and supernatural is suppose to happen to us in an evolutionary sense, not something terrible.

The only thing that has been extremely unusual to me in the last couple of years has been a spike in earthquakes like in Haiti and other countries around the world. I don't look at this as an end to the world by any means, but I don't recall in my lifetime this many earthquakes, unless they've always occurred and it was just a matter of time before technology became good enough to notice it.
