Smash Rookie
A group of friends and I called Defection have made a list of 20 possible character(s) that can be the final fighter in Sakurai's Final Presentation for Smash Bros Ultimate.
Note that every single one of these character(s) have an equal opportunity but some of the picks on the list were chosen due to specific member bias of characters they want to see but still follow the rules and patterns established below.
There is no guarantee that any of these characters will be the one revealed but this list was made for fun and speculation using logical reasoning.
Rules & Patterns:
Character(s)/Series must have at least more than one game to be considered for “legacy” factor. (With the exception of ARMS, all franchises in Smash Bros. with a playable fighter has had more than one game in their franchise series before inclusion.[This includes if a sequel was in development at the very least.])
Character(s)/Series must have been on a Nintendo console at one point in time, cameos do not count.
Current Assist Trophy characters are deconfirmed.
Spirits don’t deconfirm a character except for post-launch Spirits. (Example: Astral Chain Spirit Event post-launch VS no Spirit Event for Fire Emblem: Three Houses leading up to Byleth’s reveal as Challenger Pack #5.)
Mii Costume of a character deconfirms them. (Example: Rex Mii Costume VS Pyra/Mythra for Challenger Pack #9.)
