2 months since a character was announced

I kind of figured that if we didn't get a new character confirmation on Christmas of all days, then we won't be getting anything until it's released in Japan. Still I pose the question, don't you think Sakurai himself would have told us in an update?

I don't quite understand this logic.

If you haven't realized, Sakurai does his (newcomer, at least.) character updates in months. Remember? August: 3 newcomers, September: None, October: 3 newcomers.

Holidays don't really mean anything. December would have been a newcomer month had Brawl not been delayed.

We'll probably see character updates in January.

i don't mean to be pesimistic but i don't see that happening
if we get another newcomer it will probably be the last 3rd party character for publicity reasons

It's called Hype. Alot of people on another site I go to diddnt even know Sonic was in Brawl or about Final Smashes, so the updates build up the hype for those who never heard of/barely heard of the new SSB.

Ill admit i used to main Jiggly(and got made fun of a lot for it until i destroyed everyone). Sleep is a great move to use against noobs, but isn't very practical for tournament level play. Ive never even seen it hit in any tourneys I've been to(but i have seen a Jiggs win a tourney without it). It was so easy to dodge/shield against if you knew what you were doing.

I don't care how old this post is, but no. You're completely wrong in so many levels. It's one of jigglypuff's main moves in tournaments.

Bad move bro, Retail usually never gets games upon release date. If you want the game immediately you shoulda reserved somewhere like EB Games and such.

See if you can get a refund then take your business elsewhere.

Hmm, I know preordering from a retailer is a bad move, but im still confused because whenever i preordered harry potter 7 i got it the first day it was released.

No, Im using Harry Potter as a comparison, pointing out that Walmart shipped it the first day for that preorder. Now I have a preorder for Brawl and it says its going to arrive March 19th, + or - a day... Which it shouldnt be, it should be Feb 10th. I pointed this out to my mom and she says that maybe the retailers know something we don't, like another delay perhaps (GOD FORBID). I'm going to ask Walmart about this...

It seems like it will be coming out in March, because I went to EB Games and they said March 1st. I know they are not the only ones because I've seen other people say March 4th on these boards when they visited Gamestop. Maybe Sakurai will announce the later date after this update break. Who knows.

Whenever I get dissatisfied with the updates, I just remember how lucky we are that Sakurai gives us a new one every day.

That being said, I wouldn't mind a new character update soon.

I think that spot left is going to be a character before the release date in japan, but I think this may sound a bit "Not Possible", but I think that he will put up 4 more characters the day RIGHT before the release date. Maybe the 7th he will put up a new character, and the 4 could be 2 new comers and 2 veterans.
