2 months since a character was announced

I think we might get 1 more character update and thats about it. I don't really mind seeing as how the game is almost out.

I agree, that hole must be filled
ONE MORE third party character will do, which boosts the game
but who will have a greater shocking effect than Sonic the Hedgehog??
Also, I don't see the necessarity of still updating the site after 24 Jan,
since japanese version players would have already done that info. spreading on youtube

My guess remains the same since before the whole "conspiracy theoracy" thing. We might get 1 or 2 characters before the Japanese release date. After that date, we'll start getting secret characters. Hell, the few (if any) before the release date could be secrets as well. But yeah, I think this huge character gap has LOTS to do with secret characters.

That means nothing, it's pretty obvious that almost everyone on the Dojo are starters. If we have 20 starters then this means we may have at least 35 for the final roster. :)

Yes, expect 5-10+ as I had said before.

Oh man, with 35 unique characters, more legendary players will be born and a lot more individuality will form as well.

Can't wait.

Don't even worry about that. There's no way the developers would be stupid enough to put in less than 30 characters total.

now watch Sakurai shock everyone with the super-surprise 150+ character roster, and have every single character in all the polls be playable(all with unique movesets). But honestly, after that, what would you say?

150 characters? Talk about how difficult it is to balance the characters and making them NOT clones.

I doubt there'll be 150 characters.
Honestly, I couldn't care how many are in. I just want to play.

But obviously it's hard to say that Luigi, C.Falcon, Jiggly and Ganon are not going to be in, because they are.

Ill admit i used to main Jiggly(and got made fun of a lot for it until i destroyed everyone). Sleep is a great move to use against noobs, but isn't very practical for tournament level play. Ive never even seen it hit in any tourneys I've been to(but i have seen a Jiggs win a tourney without it). It was so easy to dodge/shield against if you knew what you were doing.

we will know everything about the game in the next 2, 3 weeks when someone from japan leaks it on the worldwideweb anyways, so let your patience last just a widdle bit longer...

I made fun of a Jigglypuff main once, once. I don't do that anymore.

I think we'll get one last newcomer before the game comes out, probably the last third party if there is going to be one. But I'm beginning to wonder if C. Falcon is a hidden character again...?

There's no reason for him to remove non-clone characters with unique movesets. The only ones who will probably leave are Pichu, Dr. Mario, Roy, and Ness, while Young Link will likely be replaced with the cel-shaded version. I'm guessing that there will be at least 40 characters in this game if they truly want to please everyone.

At this point i can wait to 'play', for me right now the thing I'm most concerned about is that i want to KNOW! It would be no problem for my patience to wait for the game if i could just know the final roster.

You people need to look up vids of mango, king, and pkmvodka if you think jigglypuff isn't playable in high level competition.

Regardless, your shallow opinion of Jigglypuff won't be taken into account. It is a unique character, and if you don't like people using it just because of the Rest technique, then I'm sorry. But that is NO reason for Jigglypuff to get the boot. :\

Even for people who aren't playing on a competitive level, her recovery is superior to so many other characters. It doesn't take a pro to realize that maybe if you used Pound after a mid-air jump, that you'll gain MUCH more horizontal distance, and you can do this five times.

Complain all you want, but Jigglypuff's got a great shot at coming back.

I'm thinkin the site has updated the entire starting roster. subtract sonic, snake and ZSS and we have a 20 char starting roster, I'd be fine with that personally. I think it's a great starting roster.

Fine, you win. But I'm not going to main Jigglypuff in Brawl there are better characters to use (and I'm not saying Jigglypuff isn't good).

i'm a jigglypuff main so whenever i hear people talk about jiggles it makes me excited
oh yeah, i'm sorry but jiggly puff has one of the best recoveries in the game

I kind of figured that if we didn't get a new character confirmation on Christmas of all days, then we won't be getting anything until it's released in Japan. Still I pose the question, don't you think Sakurai himself would have told us in an update?
