I didn't read through the entire topic, so sorry if this has been pointed out.

MGS is getting plenty of rep. Snake appears in his MGS2 sneaking suit, and he can chance into camo patterns for his alternate colour -- clear refrence to MGS3. REX, RAY and another Metal Gear (MGS4?) also appear in the level, and the music we've heard is from MGS4. That's pretty darn varied.

Its kind of early to say that the games you mentioned will not be appearing in Brawl.
If im correct, I bet none of us could of known that that the Zelda temple music was from Adventure Of Link or that Game & Watch was going to be playable, a random series of games to reperesent(G&W I mean).

Those games could be reperesented. Im pretty sure Galaxy will be represented in a way.

Actually, in one screenshot there is a Sticker of Silver the Hedgehog, character which only appears in Sonic the Hedgehog for PS3 or Xbox360...

No, he appears in Sonic and the Secret Rings, too. You can play as him in multiplayer.
