Sakurai can put in the game whatever he wants to.. or atleast try to. If he dosent do things for a certain series its because...

A). The Games came out after brawl was in development, and he couldent give away parts of the games through brawl (Like Super Mario Galaxy)

The Metal Gear Solid series only has references to the first game MGS the twin snakes which appeared on the Nintendo GameCube and the PSX (Twins Snakes=MGS1). We haven't seen any character, part of stage, or anything from a different MGS title other than that sole one. Even the codec sequences look like those awful pictures used from MGS1.

Sakurai could be doing this because he doesn't have a choice or to torcher us. He can't allow games that have been seen on other systems to be in ssbb, it's advertising for the opposing companies. We can also see that in SamuraiPanda's translation thread Sakurai said something along the lines of "Only characters that have appeared on a Nintendo platform will appear in ssbb,"

except you forget the fact that the MGS4 theme is in brawl, and snake has his look from MGS2.

Then there is the Prime series which has been completely ignored. It's probably largely due in part to Japan's indifference towards the trilogy (it wasn't made in Japan so it was put in the foreign crap section). Nonetheless, this could mean that characters like DarkSamus aren't in ssbb at all.

If you look at the Sonic franchises appearance in ssbb it is mostly from the game Sonic Adventure Battle 2, which appeared on the Nintendo gamecube. Mainly, the music appears from that game. On the Xmas update we have also received a song from Sonic the Hedgehog 3 which appeared on the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis and the Wii virtual console.

Actually, in one screenshot there is a Sticker of Silver the Hedgehog, character which only appears in Sonic the Hedgehog for PS3 or Xbox360...

Mario Galaxy and Brawl were probably in production at the same time. I think Mario Galaxy might be represented, after all Melee came out a month after the GCN launched and still had trophies of Pikmin and Luigis Mansion.

Also "Celda" is already represented with the tingle trophy

This could potentially mean anything from those games wont appear in ssbb.

This thread is silly. Snake himself is his MGS2 design. SILVER is a sticker. People from Fe10 are in the game. MGS4 music and Ray are already featured. Roy was a playable character a couple of months before his game came out. The list just goes on and on.
