There is a dedicated thread for patch notes discussion; this thread is strictly for confirmed reports.

To avoid anarchy, only a whitelist of individuals are allowed to post directly to this thread:
If there is anything we missed that you have evidence of, please PM me with direct reports of unconfirmed changes (not in this post or discussed) that you have personal evidence for.
(I reserve the right to make fun of anyone who reports placebos.)

Just finished looking at all landing lag in the game. Can also confirm Robin's aerials being reduced, as well as ALL of Ganondorf, Mewtwo, and Shulk aerials. Finally, Lucas had his fair landing lag reduced.

Haven't looked at all characters in depth, it would help if we had a data dump to tell me what to look for. Bowser's got some more unconfirmed stuff. Transition from grabbing a target with Side B and getting into the air is significantly sped up. Bowser and his victim are also apparently intangible from attacks while spinning in the air. His Up B now grabs the ledge from behind ( a series first). And Uthrow does indeed have reduced endlag (separate from the move being overall faster due to hitlag reduction). I don't think seven frames is accurate though, probably more like three. LordWilliam1234 LordWilliam1234 and Lavani Lavani could I get you to frame count these? I can only frame count pre-patch values right now.

Looks like a five frame reduction to me.

I tested it.
Luigi's up b kills cloud at 62.
When he's in Limit break, it's 64.
So, he gets some weight, fall speed or gravity change.....

Spin Attack: Uncharged total frames from 81 -> 77. Full charge total frames from 139 -> 136. Start-up is the same for both.

Haven't checked his customs yet but that appears to be it in regards to Link's frame changes.

Turns out Villager was nerfed. G&W too (I think.)

If a Villager pockets their teammates projectile, it now does half the damage/knockback than before, rather than double. That literally puts Villager from SSS tier in doubles to probably mid-tier. I did a preliminary test with G&W, and his bucket seems to have a similar effect.

Darn it.

Bowser's side B got sped up on landing the command grab, and also got some invincibility until he moves into the air with his opponent (+ some new visual effects, though that's quite unimportant). I think aside from that and uthrow, Bowser is unchanged.

Your description says team healing has been nerfed too, but I didn't see it. A 300% Lucario firing an aura sphere into Lucas' PSI magnet healed 30% for me regardless of whether or not Lucario was on Lucas' team.
i tested with lucas PSI magnet and falco laser, in teams on the same team it healed 4%, when not on the same team it healed 8%.

Confirmations of endlag and landing lag that hasn't changed is also welcome.

I can confirm that the recoil on Mewtwo's Shadow Ball has indeed been decreased, on both the ground and in the air.

Unfortunately I am at work and am testing on my break so am unable to provide video evidence. However, I have made some notes.

1.1.2
Takes 11 fully charged grounded SB's to reach the right side of Omega Battlefield to the left side.
Takes 2 fully charged aerial SB's to reach the right side of Omega Battlefield to the left side.

1.1.3
Takes 15 fully charged grounded SB's to reach the right side of Omega Battlefield to the left side.
Takes 4 fully charged aerial SB's to reach the right side of Omega Battlefield to the left side.

And this is big, I am pretty certain that Mewtwo's ground movement speed has been increased slightly, both walking and running. It is more noticable with running, you can see his tail waving about quicker. Does anybody else feel like testing this? If this is true, this is huge. It shows that they are willing to change character specific values, which could mean a weight change somewhere down the line!

Some of my data for projectiles is missing. Looking into hitboxes of projectiles is also a valuable use of time, though Dantarion will hopefully make this easy.

Cloud's Limit Cross Slash has invincibility.

I can't confirm how much exactly but he has it at least from frame 6 until (and I think including the frame) the move goes active.

Haven't confirmed if his other limits have invincibility or not but I'd assume at least Limit Climhazzard does.

Sorry for the bad quality, but here is proof that Mewtwo's Running Speed has increased. I will upload the Walking Speed comparison shortly.

Using Fox's method of frame skip I can confirm that Meta Knight's aerial lag is unchanged. This is not super precise so needs additional confirmation. He also still has his Shuttle Loop RCO lag. On initial appearance Meta Knight seems unchanged.

The things I'd specifically look at for endlag changes are Needles, d-throw, Vanish, and Bouncing Fish. I'm super skeptical that anything else would be touched first.
I can't record, but needle kb and endlag are the same, bf, and dthrow are all the same.
I can second this. Needles fully charged and partial charge endlag is the same, all throws have the same end lag, and Bouncing Fish is the same, as in it has the same ending lag/landing lag, and no changes at all to the second flip. Finally Vanish is the same, as in it has the same landing lag.

:4link:

Shocking Spin (Up Special 2): Uncharged total frames reduced from 98 -> 93. Full charge total frames from 156 -> 152.

The spin attack changes for default and shocking spin are the only frame changes I could find for Link, excluding the extra shield advantage he now has on f-air which is due to the damage increases.

:4ryu: Doesn't appear to have gotten any frame changes.
:4palutena: Doesn't appear to have gotten any frame changes.
:4falco: Doesn't appear to have gotten any frame changes.

Confirmations of endlag and landing lag that hasn't changed is also welcome.
By my own testing, only the aerials I've mentioned have reduced landing lag. It's always possible I've missed something, but I DID see 1 frame differences on Ganondorf's so, the possibility is unlikely at best. #humblebrag

Also just got finished looking for changes to throws in startup/endlag. Only Bowser's Uthrow is changed in this regard.

Still a lot of moves to get through. Thinkaman Thinkaman if you ever get wind of some kind of data dump to sift through, finding the rest of the changes should be like shooting fish in a barrel. But for now, this patch appears centered around very specific characters rather than small buffs across the board. We'll be mostly looking for changes to Ganondorf, Bowser, Robin, Shulk, Lucas, Mewtwo, and anybody else that has at least something confirmed at this point.

Lucarios change to neutralB, the Angle 80 -> 83 and KBG 100 -> 93 refer to charging neutralB not to the projectile. The OP is not clear about this.

Mewtwos fair should be 18 -> 14 not 18 -> 16. Need someone to double check.

:4lucas: Grab total frames from 50 -> 45
Dash Grab total frames from 60 -> 55
Pivot Grab is unchanged at 55 frames total. They sped up the animation towards the end but the total frames didn't change: his other grabs also have greatly sped up animations towards the end but I'm guessing they altered the FAF to compensate, hence the huge discrepancy in the OP's estimation.
F-air landing lag from 15 -> 12

:4robinm: D-smash total frames from 61 -> 56

:4lucario: Fall speed was very slightly increased.

On the left is 1.12, on the right is 1.13. Each one is falling from the peak of a vertical Extremespeed at 0%. I don't know how large a gif is too large so it's not frame by frame:

I can make one at 60fps if need be though.

Mewtwos fair should be 18 -> 14 not 18 -> 16. Need someone to double check.
It's 18 -> 14, I have it listed as such. Probably just a typo in the OP.

I cofirmed that
  • Kirby's run speed(was 1.5 in 1.1.2) is very slightly faster than R.O.B.(1.568) now in WiiU.
  • Kirby's walk/air/fall speed hasn't changed.
  • Lucario's air speed(1.01 in 1.1.2) is at least faster than R.O.B.(1.08) and seems to be same as DHD(1.1) now.
  • Lucario's fast fall speed(1.56 in 1.1.2) is between MK(1.66) and ZSS(1.7) now.
  • Lucario's walk speed(1 in 1.1.2) is at least faster than Pac-Man(1.045) and seems to be same as MiiGunner(1.05) now.

I can also confirm that Lucario's air speed, both fall and fast fall speed have been increased. Though it is very negligible (certainly not as noticeable as Mewtwo's running speed increase), they are certainly changed, and results consistently showed this for it not to be human error. Though I cannot confirm the exact values like I was able to with Mewtwo, I can nonetheless confirm that Lucario's air speed, and both fall speeds have increased.

And Kirby's run speed has indeed increased slightly. It also is not very much, but the animation is noticeably quicker on 1/4 speed. Again, I cannot confirm values as I am away from my Wii U, but M Meshima is right in everything said about both Lucario and Kirby. Good spot.

Bowser (1.792), Marth (1.785), Ike (1.5), Lucas (1.5), Falco (1.472), Dr. Mario (1.312), Dedede (1.36), Villager (1.27), Robin (1.15), Jigglypuff (1.155), Pit (1.66215), Dark Pit (1.66215) and Ganondorf (1.218) do not appear to have changed in running speed. However since I'm using other fighters for comparison it could be inaccurate if there were buffs to both of them...

I'm really liking Kirby's subtle boost in run speed.

I couldn't find any changes of run/walk/fall/fastfall/air speed of Bowser, Ganondorf, Link, Lucas, Robin and Shulk.

Hahahahaha. Bowser's DA gets nothing even though it's over 50 frames, it starts slower, he runs slower, and it does less damage.
I'm actually quite pleased for Charizard's dash attack. Lots of active frames, and with less endlag. Much like Donkey Kong's after that was patched. And speaking as a Bowser main, I can't complain with being given a combo throw like all of the other heavyweights. Good trade.

I love talking about the design philosophies surrounding such patch decisions, but I also love them more in dedicated Patch Note Discussion threads.

I am in the middle of in-depth comparisons of characters between pre and post patch. That one change to Charizard's dash attack being spotted in the last day should speak to how much nothing has changed in terms of frames. To anybody concerned about characters with differences in speed statistics (running speed, air speed, etc.), I can provide 1.12 footage for the next few days to help you prove it. Just contact me via Private Message.

Slowly but surely double checking the rest of the cast:

:4duckhunt: Doesn't appear to have gotten any frame changes.

Finished my attempt to spot FAF differences between patches, and there's nothing else to report. I didn't check every single custom move, since it's reasonable to assume this patch is like every patch before last one where the only customs that were changed were to coincide with changes to the default version, like Link's Up B total frame change

Thinkaman Thinkaman Here's a visual comparison of Mewtwo's Shadow Ball between patches. The size increase is not too large, so you have to look at the size in relation to Mewtwo's body to really see it in the first place.
