This stagelist apparently inspired 5 of the top 6 to use MK. They aren't even using RC tho. Banning frigate, I'm surprised a top olimar would be forced to MK by...Delfino?

It will be interesting to see how Apex turns out if everyone from Japan is ready with strong pocket MKs.

Guys, Suinoko only needs 400 more to get to Apex. Can any of you help him, at least for some of that? He has been really nice last Apex as a japanese translator and he is constantly updating us on japanese results and videos.

I saw matches where they played 8 minutes in bracket too. Nietono didn't actually win with MK, did he? On SWF we only count characters that actually helped a player progress. I also think Rain was somewhat lucky with the bracket as he had to play Kakera / Nietono [who suffered more from the stage list] instead of Yui, El or Otori who would've had a better chance.

I'm really curious how this will end up at Apex.

I can't help but to think they will all end up placing badly if they run to MK on CPs. The players here know the character and the counterpicks waaaaaay better than those guys. That goes double for any MK mains they may potentially run into. I don't see MK dittos going over too well. >_>;

Otori is the only one of them who plays the ditto very well. Rain and Kakera should keep their Falco / ICs in shape for Apex.

Also, I don't think I've ever seen a tourney where he didn't go ICs for at least a few match ups.

Yeah but lately he almost always uses MK.

I think the latest vids of his ICs were like when he ditto'd 9B or something.

He still uses ICs vs Olimar, Falco, Diddy and on FD ... which means at least 1/3 of his tourney performance depends on his ICs. But he also loses MK ditto to Rain, Eru and his brother so he might as well give it a shot with ICs again.

Nietono's MK looked very solid for a pocket. Almost beat Rain on Frigate twice and beat Otori.
