Leon understands some matchups, the ones that took him several humiliating defeats so that he was forced to learn them.

If you say he plays the IC MU wrong you're being ignorant and overly biased.
Past a certain level I don't even think this is true. To a basic sense yes, but I think moreso he just understands players and has an amazing execution to pull **** off lol.

I play for fun as well, didn't realize that was a crime when playing competitively. Daigo Umehara makes money and has fun playing Street Fighter, what's your point? Doing what you want is what makes good players. There's really only two ways to play a game, you can follow the trend or lead by example.

All I'm seeing is "He plays different ew". Stop this ****, it's a scrubby mentality.
I dont think anybody said that.
Daigo himself said in an interview his mentality had to change after sponsorship....
comparing yourself to daigo is also dumb

I wasn't comparing myself to Daigo, I was just making a point that playing a game and having fun isn't tied with being a bad player. It's something any player who enjoys this game can relate to.

His mentality changed, reason why he picked up Yun to keep on top but he's always played for fun which is why he's mostly mained shoto's even before then. From what I hear, he's picking up Akuma for SF 2012.

Its not tied to being a bad player. But putting in hard hours of work IS tied to being a good player... and it won't always be fun. A lot of it is stressful, or solitary, unsocial, frustrating and I could go on and on.

Daigo plays for fun, but he puts in work.

Can't argue against that, because I've done it for years, lol(In Melee and now). In the end you still love the game though which is why people can be so dedicated to it and why it can be so satisfying when that hard work pays off. So what's the issue again?

There's no baring issue. I just kinda float around and speak my mind

the only thing i disagree with in a straight forward manner is saying that everyone is saying this.
"He plays different ew". Stop this ****, it's a scrubby mentality."

Because I don't think that's the case at all

Wasn't specifying everyone, not sure what you mean by that. But I believe it raises my point even if it does seem out of bounds. You're right though, I shouldn't of used a quote because it does look like I'm quoting everyone specifically which is where I think the confusion is coming from. I just find it funny seeing a handful of people think they're grand masters at this game when I've yet to see them win or place in tourneys, I probably should of worded it differently but either way I think it would of made me sound like a *******(No hate intended, all good). Oh well, everyone's a critic.

Good day sir.

so i finally got to play some brawl today but my practice group isn't really into the specifics and doesn't know the ATs. But they're still good practice compared to CPUs. and my team partner decided to get off SC2 and we played a couple matches, but our teamwork was so out of sync and terrible. i expect those vids to go up in the next week and so i would appreciate some help with teamwork skills (he's a ness main). among the other matches, I've found out that I have trouble with the Bowser MU. I've never played a Bowser before and he did that body slam move and took me off the stage three times in a row. 30 second match D: (didn't record that one b/c it was a friendly, but i got the set matches). i am now dedicating half an hour to watching nike vs zigsta:oneeye:

Please don't watch those, I choked super hard lol.
We played an hour of friendlies a week ago and I did alot better. Those would have def been better, but we didnt save them.

I made a hugeeee writeup regarding the Bowser MU recently.
I might make them public after the BBR MU Chart Project finishes.

Hey guys, Gheb's going to be running a Fire Emblem type of game over in the Decisive Games subforum, which I'll be participating in. Going to be a 4-team thing, I believe, and we need someone for the fourth team.

If you're interested, please let me know and I'll pass the word along, or you can contact him directly.
