  • I really don't know why, but I love seeing Mario Kart get tracks based on other games, while I don't like seeing it get playable characters from other games.

The exception is R.O.B.. He needs to come back.
Useless fact: There are only 11 Smash characters who have officially appeared in Lego form:
    :ultmario::ultluigi::ultyoshi::ultbowser::ultbowserjr::ultpiranha::ultsonic::ultsteve::ultalex::ultzombie::ultenderman:
As far as I'm aware, the only other video game franchises to officially appear in Lego form are Portal, Angry Birds, and all the arcade games they used in Lego Dimensions. I'm also pretty sure Mega Man was planned for the cancelled third year of Dimensions, too...
I was imagining a Mario Party game with boards based on other Nintendo games - as one does - when I suddenly came up with a genius idea for a board: Clock Town from Majora's Mask.

Every three turns, the Moon will crash down and someone will play the Song of Time to send it back...but this means that everyone on the board will be sent back to the start. So you'll have only three turns to try and reach the star each time...However! You can find owl statues in various places around the board. If you pay an owl statue, you will be allowed to teleport to it once per three-day-cycle (which counts as using an item on your turn). You can have access to all the statues on the board, but you can only teleport to one of them per cycle...plus, access to a statue is a little more expensive than buying a star. But you'll definitely still want to get at least one statue so you don't always have to start from the very beginning all the time.

Maybe its a bit complex, but I actually really like this idea...

I really like it! I imagine the board would be a little smaller to account for travelling across the town to reach the Owl Statues?

Well...I figured it would have to be a fairly large board, cause it would have to be big enough that you wouldn't always be able to feasibly reach the star in three turns (it could still end up close to the start, but...).
There's gotta be a real incentive to pay for the statues, ya know...
I leave SmashBoards for a few hours and suddenly everybody's being turned pink?

Hey, I'm the one with a pfp of Muffet. I'm the one who should be turning people pink/purple...
you ever just really want to post something stupid but can't think of anything at all?
Every so often, somebody actually manages to temporarily convince me that Smash could benefit from using content from the old cartoons...
For some reason I decided to make a little thing showing off my mains for all the fighting games I play. And yes, Rivals is all Workshop characters for me (until Pomme becomes official anyway).
NickBrawl and Fraymakers are just predictions right now...I'll most likely update this once those games are actually out.
Well...I'm gonna try this and see where it goes. Come on in to a new Creates Thread where we dream up a third SiIvaGunner King for a Day Tournament!

All of a sudden I started thinking of a few contestants I'd want to see in a KFAD3, and then I had the idea that planning these out could maybe work as a creates thread. I'm not entirely sure how it would work beyond picking contestants and voting on who wins out in the end...but we could still have fun with it by randomly throwing in songs that could be used for the contestants we picked. Any chance anyone would be interested in that?
Oh man, the new look at Legends Arceus looks so good...I'm super hyped for this game. I know it could still very well disappoint me, but...

I was never worried about those choppy animations in the first trailer...I always had a feeling that was just early development. Still, that was pretty much the first thing I was looking for when the trailer started...

And I'm totally excited about the new evolutions and regional variants. Sure, it just means more work for my Pokemon Home Living Dex, but I love doing that so...

Oh yeah and I guess BDSP look neat too. But I'm honestly not as interested in those. Still totally playing 'em though.
This place is descending more and more into madness and I love it
Hey! In the Mona thread I found a leak that may allude to a possible playable Penny in Get It Together! I'm hoping this is true, so I'll share it with you in case you're interested. I'll put it in a spoiler in case you don't want any content spoilers.

I felt like that "secret character" was gonna be someone new...

Now, I may be missing something, but is Penny the only significant character in the series who hasn't been shown yet (or even at least mentioned by name in that "leak")?

I actually have a little hypothesis. Since according to the leak the plot of the game will be that the WarioWare Inc team are trapped in their own games since Penny has some technological knowledge, what if the story ends up being that Penny saves the gang from these games in the end and the reason she hasn't been shown is because she's not actually part of the main game.
Because I'm bored and I have nothing to do today, I came up with a few possible KFAD dual rips we could have gotten that I would have liked to see...or I guess the more accurate term would be hear.

    • Papyrus X Jack & Elmo: Blue Stop Signs (An Octagon YTPMV of Bonetrousle)
    • Men in Black/Will Smith X Thanos: Friend Like Me
    • Wario Partners X Papyrus: Skeleton (Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games)
    • Thanos X Missingno.: 4.0 Kingdoms (Music from Disney Infinity 4.0)
    • Donkey Kong X Rhythm Masters: All The Small Things (Donkey Konga Mix)
I am once again bringing attention to the disgusting lack of Game & Watch Gallery related content in Smash
Honestly, all Nick Brawl is doing for me now is making me wish we could get a Disney cartoons fighting game. That's literally the one thing that could match Smash for me...
I was just thinking, and now I've realized that we actually are most likely not gonna get a Mario Kart 9 until the next Nintendo console. We've never had any more than one Mario Kart game on each system (except for the Switch with 8 Deluxe and Home Circuit, but that's a special case). So...as much as I hate to say it, I feel confident that we still have a few years to go before we get another true Mario Kart game.

Yes, I'm bored. How could you tell?
As a little kid I used to have this National Geographic Kids book with a bunch of random facts in it. But for some reason, it also came with a section dedicated to predictions of future technology.

One of the predictions mentioned a device that could let you load up a webpage for something just by looking at it, which I recognize now as predicting Google Glass or something.

However, young me saw this and thought that humanity was actually gonna evolve to have the internet located inside their brains, and that we'd never be able to look at anything again without getting a wikipedia page clogging up our view.
A while ago I had an idea for a Smash game where you could choose to play your character as they have always been in Smash, or to swap them over to an optional, alternate moveset with an entirely different playstyle that could reference other games in their series. Some of my ideas were a Cappy-centric Mario, a Poltergust-centric Luigi, a Perry & Vibes-centric Peach, a Wario Land-centric Wario, a Dungeons-centric Steve, an actually game-accurate Ness, and an actually game-accurate Ganondorf.

I know this would never happen, but I still thought it was an interesting idea.
Today I suddenly realized that we could have gotten a M*A*S*H rip in King for Another Day thanks to Dr. Piccolo.

    I feel robbed.
Nintendo Direct. A new Smash trailer is unveiled. All the characters are shown in a long timeline, showcasing each character's first video game appearance. Then after reaching the very end of the list, it blasts all the way back to the beginning and goes even farther past Mr. Game & Watch and Pac-Man in 1980 to ten years earlier in 1970. The final Super Smash Bros. Ultimate fighter is none other than Masahiro Sakurai himself.

And then we see his gameplay footage and it turns out he's just a Marth clone, angering thousands.
I have to be honest. I'm really surprised that we haven't gotten any Fortnite stuff in Smash by now. I don't honestly believe that we'll get Jonesy as a character, cause the timing doesn't really make sense to me...but I really feel like it would still make sense if we got a Mii Costume or a Spirit Event or something.

And just to be clear: I'm not saying I want this to happen, I'm just saying I think it's actually quite likely that this could happen and I'm surprised that it hasn't happened.
I was bored so I thought up a Mario version of Sonic Generations:

I just listened to the soundtracks of Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga and it's remake...and all of a sudden I just really want to hear the Bowser's Minions music in the GBA soundfont. I'm actually surprised nobody's done that (I was honestly expecting SiIvaGunner to have done it, but the only rip they made for Bowser's Minions is just a Grand Dad/Snow Halation version of the Hoohoo Village theme).
