Weird choice for a new Animal Crossing rep but I can dig it.

Ehh, I dunno. Maybe it’s a buncha coincidences, but I’ve been thinking.
-Mii costume still hasn’t appeared (though of course it could always appear later)
-Namco hasn’t had a new character (and obviously they don’t need one. But it’s just a thought)
-He’d fit right in, with his JRPG protagonist, multi sword wieldin ass.
-While not huge, he has a pretty decently sized fanbase. Not tiny, but not huge. Fitting for a character this late in the pass, but not the very last one.
I dunno, like I said I’ve just been thinking about smash a lot recently and certain things were lining up to make me think “hey maybe this is more likely than I thought.”
I’m still going all in on Chief though, just for the thrill

I'm not sure if the Mii costume not appearing is necessarily a point in his favour; Heihachi's Mii costume was conspicuously absent with Terry's pass (even though other fighting game character Mii costumes were brought back), Geno's costume was absent for all of Fighters Pass 1, and the Monster Hunter Mii costumes were absent until Pyra/Mythra, and all of them were brought back.
