Yeah. Been playing the Maylay and it really highlights the issues Ultimate has with limited options and handholding it does in contrast. I feel way more comfortable and less like I'm guessing than I do in Ultimate.

Yeah. It feels much better in terms of general responsiveness and I don't feel like I'm moving through molasses.

I can't say I ever really understood that feeling, save for a few scenarios (i.e disadvantage, especially on wifi). Ultimate moves pretty fast, but I can understand that feeling with like dashes (especially Zelda's) being punishable and things like that.

There's quite a lot of input lag on Ultimate period. In Melee when I press a button I get an instant response. In Ultimate there is always a delay before any action happens. That's before getting into how a lack of a buffer system in Melee means that you will always get your moves to come out the way you want them when you want them. You don't have to worry about random buffered moves because you move faster than Ultimate wants you to.
